[With the theater season officially open, the Divine Theater has little else do with the summer but prepare for next season's jam-packed schedule. However, preparation doesn't really bring in money, so, as they do every summer, the Divine Theater has opened its doors to summer classes! There is even word that those students who excel might even be considered for staff next season!

The first class is free in the hopes that they will bring in new students, in the hopes that people will sign up for more. The offerings are rather diverse.

Acting classes, both beginning and advanced; music lessons for singers and instrumentalists; conducting classes; beginning and advanced sewing and costume design; makeup; theater tech and lighting; beginning and advanced dance classes; stage fighting and choreography, just to name a few. There's a little bit of something for everyone here. The front desk ladies have even taken it upon themselves to start their very own beginner accounting class. It's cute, you should check it out

For those working around the theater, it was a busy time--maybe even more than when they were putting on productions. Cleaning to do, classes to help out with, and, of course, making sure any students don't go down secret hallways labeled "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" that totally aren't hiding their super secret base of operations nope nothing here to see folks.

[Not particularly skilled for any one area, Sakura has taken it upon herself to do some cleaning and run errands for those working hard. That isn't to say she isn't willing to have a million things shoved upon her be put to work]

[Ogami and Machamp are both lugging large armoires. Machamp is fine, Ogami is sweating a bit]

[Sakura looks over the boxes, shifting her own to try to see.]

I think those go in the costume studio.

[With some grunting, the armoires are set down]

Phew. Anything else we need to prep for the lessons?

[Lucas had been a bit scarce in the months between the flower infestation and the Caldera disaster, but he's popping by more frequently again.]

Is there anything I can help you do today?

[Long time no see! She brightens a bit, adjusting the boxes she's carrying so she can see a bit better.]

Can you help me go through the wings and sort through props?

Of course!

[He'll follow behind her to wherever the wings are.]

I've been by a few times lately - I notice you have a lot more people working now...!

Dance Lessons

[ One thing that Maki had never really gotten into was dance. She could sing and play a few instruments, but dancing was another side of music that she never really thought much of. She admired it, from afar, enjoying seeing dancers moving about a stage, sometimes even singing as they did.

So with a simple request of her parents, she was given some money to sign up for an introductory dance lesson. She was a little worried about meeting new people, as someone like her so often worries about, but the draw of learning to dance was enough to get over that for now.

And so she's signed up, dressed in a simple workout outfit (hiding her ears and tail of course) ready for it to start, even as she stays away from most of the other people there, putting up that wall that she seems to always have. ]

[ Speaking of anti-social shifter girls, there's a girl standing by the back wall. She's not dressed for any sort of working out - a black dress with far too many frills to be practical - but seems to be observing instead.

There's a Gothorita out on the floor dancing her heart out, though.

Hey, nobody said Pokémon couldn't dance. ] Come on, Lilah! [ ...Are you allowed to cheer during a lesson? Hotaru's there for moral support for her Gothorita.

Still, she stops when she notices Maki nearby. Was she disturbing the other girl? ] Ah, sorry... I was trying to cheer on my friend.

[ Maki can only sigh when she sees the Pokemon dancing and not the girl. It's an old habit she's never grown out of, disliking Pokemon. At the same time, she doesn't really notice the sort of stern face she's making looking over at the two of them near the back wall. ]

I-It's okay. I was just wondering why someone had brought a Pokemon with them..

[ She doesn't mean to say such a thing, it just sort of comes out, as she tries to get a handle on herself. ]

[threemoms]

[ Hotaru glances over to her Gothorita, then back to the girl. ] Well, she wanted to dance. [ She doesn't see what the surprise is. Pokémon have their own wants and needs, after all.

Gothorita chimes in with some snide comment about "It would be a waste not to show off my natural talent!" or... some such, prompting Hotaru to turn back to her. ] Nobody likes a show-off. [ Hotaru you live with Haruka what are you even talking about. ]

Maki?

[Chie had come here largely on a whim after meeting Eri the other day and seeing her awesome sword dance. And considering tahat she's got some free time, a sword, and there are dance lessons being offered, she figures it couldn't hurt to show up and try to pick up a few pointers. She hadn't expected to see Maki here, since she plays piano and never mentioned dancing, but she's all smiles and waves anyway as she spots the other girl from across the room.]

Hey! I didn't know you danced too.

[Or... much of anything about the girl, really, considering they've only met once.]

Chie? [ That voice was somewhat familiar, seeing she had just spoken to the girl a short while ago. But it's different seeing her in person. She and Chie had gotten along over the network though, and Maki manages to give a little bit of a smile as Chie joins her. ]

W-Well, I thought I might try it out..

[ That question makes Maki embarrassed though, seeing how someone she knows is going to watch her first attempts at learning how to dance. ]

So it's your first time too, then?

[Chie gives a small smile at that, looking just a little relieved.]

Well, at least I'm not the only one just starting out. Let's both do our best, okay?

[She takes a few steps closer to the other girl, putting her hand out for a shake, but quickly drawing it back to muffle a sudden sneeze.]

[Eri didn't immediately notice Maki, she was wearing a simple (albeit a bit daring for Union fashion) leotard, definitely Calderan style. She looked pretty flexible, like definitely knew what she was doing.]

[Nozomi, extremely curious after her friend's sword-display not too long ago, decided to also join in. For once not in her work robes, Nozomi is in modest workout clothes. And she spots the two of them right away, waving and walking over. Because fate is funny that way.]

You decided to come too?

[ Eri might not have noticed Maki, but it's almost impossible not to notice Eri, wearing something like that, with her body type. She definitely stands out among the people signed up for dance lessons. Maki is almost...envious, lost in her thoughts when she realizes that Nozomi is looking right at her. ]

A-Ah, you two! I didn't know that you were interested in this kind of thing...

[ Not that she can even say what she knows about the two of them at all. Actually, she's surprised to see them together. ]

...Do you two know each other?

[ ....Classes. Why don't they invite the whole of Union into the dormitory, show them their masks, and announce "Hello! We're a secret organization" while they're at it....?

Ah, well. The amount of spotlights shining on this theater's members at any given time actually serve to distract from their more clandestine activities. So Haruka's dressed in her exercise clothes - loose tunic, loose pants, cloth belt to keep the tunic tucked in - and accompanying her usual dance partner to the classroom.

She pushes open the door, accidentally letting in a few stray rose petals and an assortment of sunbeams. ] Sounds like a lively crowd today.

[ Maki is simply there to learn how to dance. She wants to learn to do it properly, just like she had wanted to learn to play the piano and sing before. It felt like a skill she ought to have, amongst everything else, and it was related to music, so she is sure to put in her all.

At the moment she's do a few simple stretches, mostly what she thinks are actual stretches anyway, having never really done any structured exercise type thing. Her arm is held up over her head she she sees the door opening, her eyes quickly settling in on the new comer (for some reason she's been a little skittish lately...). The new girl looks older, but not terribly so, and a little scary too. ]

Are you here for the class too? [ Maki finds herself saying, before she's even realized it. Though her mind is still wondering where those rose petals came from.. ]

[Bolin walked into the theater not sure what to expect. He didn't exactly have the income for this. He was barely making ends meet as it was. But someone had caught him doing one of his Pokemon Performances out in Union and suggested he check out the theater.

Bolin sat with Pabu around his shoulders, Tai curled up sleeping by his feet, and Kun perched on his lap. Kun was the most alert of his pokemon, eyes flicking towards anything that moved.]

Relax. It'll be fun. We'll just check out these classes and maybe work up more money so we can get involved later.

[Kun tilted his head back to look at Bolin. He didn't look very approving. Maybe he'd feel better once the class started.]

[what else would she be doing? It's quiet now, however. Or rather, there isn't anybody else around so she'll do whatever she wants.

She's got her violin out and is playing something nice and easy. Ensconced in the violin case, a Togepi is already nodding off onto a plush Rhyhorn doll.]

[ This isn't a pupil, Michiru. It isn't even your partner, whose presence was requested elsewhere.

But it is a little blue, drippy nose peering into the room, sighing in wonder. That's so beautiful. ] Cub...

[it might take a moment, but Michiru eventually glances back when she feels eyes on her.

Oh. Heh. She keeps on playing, however, to make sure the baby is actually fast asleep before she stops.

Tucking the violin under her arm, she turns towards that nose.] And who do we have here?

[quietly though. Very quietly.]

Costume Design & Sewing

[In the room several easels are set up around displaying various sketches, swatches of fabric, and colors. This includes progress shots of the costume and even a few mannequins displayed around to show how the costumes turned out in the end.

There are also some live pokemon models as well: a Slowking in exotic royal robes, a Pichu wearing a baby bonnet, bib, and mittens, and finally a Meowstic wearing an embroider bell collar. At the back of the room is a sleeping Houndoom most likely keeping an eye on any unruliness.

Setsuna doesn't mind teaching today so whether you're and advanced student or a beginner she is here to show you how to make a product from design to sewing.]
