Operation: Gigas Freedom Event Start
True to their word the Seekers lead the teams discretely through the winding streets of Gigas and into service entrances, gaining them admittance into the heart of Gigas’s political compound. Bringing them stealthily along the catwalks, the Union infiltrators were brought to the inner sanctum, close to the captive Gigases and their mission.
Sharp-looking soldiers in fatigues holding machine guns patrolled diligently, although their demeanor was not especially tense. It seemed no immediate operations were taking place at this time as no engineers were present. And in their enormous cages, the Gigases slept. Waiting.

Registeel (Right, Gordon, Waver, Minako, Magnolia)
Kiho's motions are practiced and fluid, and those who have met her before may note that she carries herself differently, more like a warrior than the gentle traveler. After several close calls with Gigan patrols narrowly being avoided, she stops just outside a large doorway. And what looks like an Elevator.
“We are here. Are you ready to engage? This is the last chance before we make contact, and make no mistake: This will be a battle to be remembered.”
Piloswine, Houndoom, Persian, Sawk, Milotic, Doublade
"As ready as I'll ever be."
She glanced over her shoulder to see if anyone had followed them to the elevator. They'd almost been spotted a few times already, and she was nervous that someone actually had.
She still couldn't believe they were actually going to do this... but keeping those gods imprisoned was just wrong.
Blastoise, Breloom, Porygon2, Arcanine, Durant, Marowak, Rotom,
Ready.
Seismitoad, Vulpix, Absol, Amaura, Blitzle
"As ready as I can be," he said quietly, swallowing his own fear as he stared down the hallway with as much steel in his heart as he could muster. The Seismitoad who stood nudged him on the arm- and Waver looked down to find the pokemon giving a short nod of encouragement.
They could do this. They just nneeded to be strong.
Right has his Lucario, Blissey, Togetic, Pignite, and Wartortle
Right himself is unsheathing his blade, dressed in full Divine Defense Force gear. The only thing standing out on his suit is the glittering pendant he's appropriately dubbed Anti-Venom. "Let's do this." There's no hesitation in his voice, only determination and confidence - both in himself and in the group around him.
The rest of his team nods in agreement. Momotaros the Pignite seems especially eager to get started in the potential fighting.
((OOC: The mentioned pendant is Right's gift from when Sanctuary was freed last year. It prevents the Poisoned status for him - FYI to the mod running this thread))
24 Hour Advancement. My tags will come around 11 EST
Kiho presses the elevator button and steps inside, swiping a stolen keycard. Once everyone is in, it starts to slowly descend, and a tune starts to play. Some things never change, it seems. Sighing, Kiho leans against the far wall, looking up at the speakers and silently dreaming of murdering whoever wrote this.
"We'll be coming out in a large ironworks. There will be guards, and a defensive system. I can disable it, and help with the guards but we need to get to a command console to break whatever they've done to control Registeel. It's possible that it'll be turned against us, so be prepared for that possibility. Hopefully we'll be quick enough, but it's difficult to say what kind of resistance we'll have."
Re: 24 Hour Advancement. My tags will come around 11 EST
I brought Sparky along for a reason. Hijacking technology is literally what Rotom do.
[As if to prove his competence, the Rotom shoots up into the speakers, which fade to static for a moment before Pop Goes the Weasel starts playing instead. This might only generously be considered an improvement.]
I have a Breloom with Spore and a Durant with Dig, just in case things get hairy. Ideally we can get in and out with minimal fighting and zero casualities.
[Something about the old man's tone says he knows just how optimistic he's being with that.]
Couldn't care less about what state the facility is in afterwards, though, as long as it doesn't fall down on top of us.

It would make the Sawk insanely happy to do just that. Luckily, Minako had managed to calm him down a little, and he doesn't attempt to demonstrate on the wall of the elevator. That would have been messy and problematic.
But... but... Pop Goes the Weasel... Minako was going to be humming that in her head all night now.

"Right knows this already, but I can teleport us out if we end up over our heads."

Despite the seriousness of the situation...Right couldn't help but laugh a little as that new song plays. "Oh, good one!" Upon getting nudged in the ribs by his Lucario, though, he does clear his throat a bit. "Still, I'm pretty sure that we can pull this off without too much trouble. And if nothing else, at least Waver's good enough to not drop us on anyone's head...or stuff. At least important stuff."
no subject
--Because, really. There were more important things that they needed to worry about, and silly commentary from Right was not among them.
Sigilyph, Gligar, Shuppet, Murkrow, Kabuto
"As long as it works, I'm sure the specifics don't matter too much."

The group will find themselves looking at a singularly massive chamber, what looks like an armory of sorts. Gigan cars line the walls, as do racks of guns, military uniforms, and the other accouterments of soldiery. On the far end of the chamber is a raised platform with all sorts of wires connected to some sort of harness. A harness that goes up. Up. And Up!
Also? There's are about a dozen men all armed, waiting with guns aimed at the opening elevator doors. And behind them? Standing high, high above, head narrowly avoiding touching the ceiling? Is Registeel, strapped into it's control device. It's multiple eyes focus on the group, and then the battle begins.
Kiho steps out into the room and waves her hands, scattering soldiers like blades of grass with waves of translucent purple force. Something sparks in the air, and a group of lights on the ceiling wink out...but Registeel? Begins to glow.
"GO! Get to that console! I will keep the enemy at bay here. Now!"
The troops begin to regroup, more stepping out to fill the gap, and Kiho's eyes gleam with wildfire. It's a good ways to the console, and there are least a dozen soldiers between the group and it that aren't currently occupied with the Seeker. Best hurry!

Magnolia's Sigilyph launches to the attack, sending out scything gusts of wind towards unoccupied soldiers and covering him - and the others - with a shining wall of light as they move forward. Not bright enough to blind, but it's kind of distracting if you're looking straight at it.
Meanwhile, his Gligar launches out from under his hair to slam into another soldier's face at high speeds; to stop her from getting hurt, his Shuppet harrasses the soldier, attempting to knock the gun out of their hands.
Magnolia himself is tackling another soldier with a burst of speed, jamming his staff in between their legs to trip them up. He's got no experience with consoles, so he'll clear a path for the others instead.
He seems to be enjoying himself, though...

Minako was glad for being part steel type. She was... well, not bullet-proof, but resistant!
She ducked down and rolled through the door, and used Iron Tail against the closest soldier still standing.
Her team jumped out, Doublade putting up an Iron Defense for itself and Milotic setting up an Aqua Ring.

His Wartortle gurgles in agreement, spitting out a slew of Bubbles towards the guards in order to both distract and harm them enough to not shoot. Just seconds afterwards, Tamago flutters above the group, unleashing a round of Ancient Power onto the guards facing them.
Only after those two attacks do Right and the rest of his Pokemon attempt to move forward towards the console. Even if he don't know how to work it, maybe they can smash it and let the God go free?

With no time wasted, Waver summoned up a Barrier to protect the party and took off after the rest of the group toward the console. "Atlas!" He called, voice catching in his throat as he stared at the oncoming guards. "Do something!"
Grunting, the Seismitoad took point and unleashed a rumbling, ear splitting Hyper Voice at the oncoming guards. Even if they didn't fall, they sure would be very unhappy for quite a while!
24 Hour Advancement. Remember that only the first 2 actions will be counted.
The Barrier and the typing blunt a great deal of the damage too. Good job team! But Rotom will find his passage blocked by a Seismitoad that drops down between the ghost and the console, standing there with it's arms crossed.
No, thing. No touch.
Meanwhile more guards come streaming in, this time Pokemon guards and not humans. A pair of Machamps charge right for Minako, swinging arms down in a Karate Chop...or two. Gordon gets his own bit of trouble in the form of a Raticate leaping at him from the back of one of the Machamps, trying to get in good for a Bite, and both Right and Wartortle, along with Waver's Seismitoad get caught up in a Magnitude (RNG says 4) attack from a Marshtomp dropped from one of the guard's Pokeballs.]

Her Milotic quickly slid across the ground towards the Seismitoad blocking Rotom, and whipped a Dragon Tail at it to hopefully give Rotom a clear shot through.

[Gordon's gun rings out, too loud in the enclosed space of the elevator, two quick shots towards the incoming Radicate. A steel type jacket won't do much against a Bite, and he's already bound to have some bruises from the gunfire. He flinches in pain, and a Breloom is summoned through his warp band, looking around to get its bearings.]

"No! Stay back and guard the elevator, Momo!" Right gestured to his Togetic. "Tamago! Hit him with that special move!"
Tamago salutes in response and unleashes her Secret Power at the enemy Pokemon. She will not let you harm her companions, agent of the evil Gigans!
((OOC: Potential Status Effect for the second attack is Paralysis, due to being in a building; 30% chance of infliction, and rolled 25 on the RNG for it.))

Thoroughly irritated now, Waver cast a Razor Leaf attack at the Marshtomp-- glad that he had prepared himself for a variety of issues. Meanwhile, Atlas the Seismitoad dives through the onslaught and slams the Marshtomp with a Drain Punch.
no subject
Lavender, on the other hand, stops what she's doing to somersault over the chaos and slam the Raticate with an Acrobatics, bouncing back whether the attack is successful or not in order to tackle a human guard's ankles. Bitey.
Magnolia is having the time of his life, along with the rest of his team, in thoroughly distracting the human guards from doing anything useful. Even when he's not fast enough to escape his hands-on combat with no injuries, he takes it all in stride and doesn't even flinch.

Seismitoad staggers from the strike but it doesn't fall. Instead, it leaps upwards, coming down hard onto the ground with a Giga Impact. Milotic is the unlucky one closest to the epicenter, and will be thrown backwards into a wall, but the entire building shakes from the landing. The Rotom will have a clear shot, as the toad has to haul it's fat ass out of a crater.
Raticate had been reading itself for another leaping bite at Gordon, but unfortunately it eats two bullets and an acrobatic shot. A slave to the laws of physics, the pokemon rebounds, smacking into the ground, KO'd.
The human guards, all unenlightened, start retreating, trying to take cover and wait for Registeel's cleansing beams, but several of them are knocked completely out.
And then there's Marshtomp. It is so over this. The Roar, the series of attacks, and it's own foul temper are getting the best of it. They all connect, and it opens it's mouth in...well it could be surprise. It could be that it's vomiting. Or...
Oh wait. it's Muddy Water! A wave of disgusting, soupy, mucky water rushes towards Right, Pignite, Waver, and Seismitoad. Good luck!
