[The feed turns on to show Renko rubbing at her temple with her free hand for a moment, like she'd just woken up. Behind her appears to be a wall that's apparently quite old. Anyone who's been to the ruins will probably realize that's where she is.

She lets out a sigh before she speaks.]

Has anyone ever encountered a Pokémon in the wild that was unusually colored? I know that they're supposed to be unbelievably rare, but...I'm fairly certain I just encountered one.

[She mumbles something about the fact that she didn't even get a chance to try and bond with it, but it's not very audible.]

Are there any tricks to locating them? As in, do their behaviors differ from others of their species? I'd be interested in finding out if anyone else has experience with them.

I believe the popular term for Pokemon like that is "shiny." My Guertena is apparently an odd specimen himself. I cannot say I've seen one in the wild, though; Guertena was an... odd case.

Well, it did seem to sparkle for a moment, so I suppose that's fitting. Oh? What exactly is it?

He's a Smeargle. It's very curious, honestly. I do not believe Smeargles have been seen anywhere around the area, so I cannot say where he came from.

That's pretty interesting. Maybe someone passing through had him and he was left here for some reason.

They would have had to have come from far away and never bothered passing through town. We had no visitors until recently.

Yes, I was able to bond with one several weeks ago. It was purely coincidental, though, so I can't say I know any way to find one specifically.

Were you able to bond with it like any other Pokémon?

Yes. I don't think there's very much difference between regular Pokemon and ones with unique coloring.

...Although, one of his moves was a surprise.

That's good to know. I was worried it would be more difficult.

Well, he's a Nidoking, but when I met him he was able to use Thunderbolt. I'm still not sure how he was able to learn it, he always avoids the question when I try to ask.

I think so. It got away, though.

My slowpoke is a weird color, but I wasn't exactly looking for him.

[She hadn't exactly wanted him either.

Did it just decide to follow you, then?

Yeah, it basically followed me home. It was kind of annoying to be honest.

They're pretty rare, I don't see why you wouldn't like it.

So? It's only a weird color. What's so special about that?

Hey, Renko! I've never bonded with a pokémon like that, but I do know some people who have. I can't really say for sure, but I don't think there's anything different about them from others like them than the colour, really.

Do you know the pokémon you saw?

It was a Lunatone.

I've always been fascinated by the night sky, so wouldn't you think it'd make a fine addition to my team?

Sure -- maybe they'll find you fascinating in return. Don't they usually come out at night? But, I'm not really familiar with them.

That would be interesting, wouldn't it?

Unfortunately, said Pokémon also put me to sleep. If anything, trying to find it and bond with it is going to be a challenge. I think they're more active at night, yes.

I wouldn't think there would be only one like them out there, even if they are a rare sight. But no, that one probably has other things to be curious about.

If you want to avoid that happening again, if any of your pokémon know or can learn protect, they would be good to keep close to you.
