[ember_celica]

[Yang is in a park in the business district, leaning against the wall of one of the towers. While she does, she's idly tossing a ball up into the air, doing some impromptu juggling. While she does, though, a baby Mankey is crawling around.]

Awright, Punchy!

[She cheers at him. He barely walks, before he stumbles over onto his face.]

You can do it! Learn to walk! Go go go! C'mon!

[And the Mankey... stumbles over. Again. Yang's grin turns sheepish.]

...'kay, so I guess cheering you isn't magically teaching you to walk well all the time. Good to know!

Yeah? Me too. Dunno what kind, I just make things evolve.

[At least that's the theory he's got based on his Pokemon so far. He pets Punchy just a bit longer before he stands up.]

Anyway, I was wondering if you'd help me out. You seem pretty straightforward.

I can do some fighting and stuff.

[There's more, but she learned to not share all of her abilities too openly, even with affable strangers. The request makes her blink, before she smiles, and nods.]

Sure, I'm happy to help. [Straightforward indeed.] Watcha need?

I just need some help getting stronger.

[He also can't ask his family since he's a runaway.]

I thought I was okay with fighting, but this one is on another level. [He jerks a thumb at Tissi, who tries to look unphased but flattery is flattery.] So I need some training myself, I guess.

[She looks down at Tissi, then up at Sync. She considers, before she nods again at him.]

Yeah, I can do that! You wanna learn to fight? I can teach you. Mostly unarmed.

[He smiles, and nods back to Yang.]

I prefer it. I don't need any bulky weapons to hold me down. When's good for you?

[He makes a point to look down at Punchy, just incase she got too fired up and forgot, because she's already struck him as something of a firecracker.]

How about next Wednesday, in the arena? We'll do this thing.

You're on. I hope you bring your A game because I'm a fast learner.

[Finally, someone that didn't make him feel so uncomfortable or need to be reserved, hence the small bit of swagger he now has.]

I don't play the A-game, I live the A-game.

[What does that even mean.]

[Sync has no idea, but he laughs because he's fired up now, punching his fist against his palm. There is a tuck on his slacks, and he looks down at Tissi, who is now holding up the Mankey at Sync.]

You like this one? I can't bond with him; he belongs to...

[Well. That's right. He takes Punchy anyway to hold for a moment and looks to Yang.]
