[Yang is in a park in the business district, leaning against the wall of one of the towers. While she does, she's idly tossing a ball up into the air, doing some impromptu juggling. While she does, though, a baby Mankey is crawling around.]

Awright, Punchy!

[She cheers at him. He barely walks, before he stumbles over onto his face.]

You can do it! Learn to walk! Go go go! C'mon!

[And the Mankey... stumbles over. Again. Yang's grin turns sheepish.]

...'kay, so I guess cheering you isn't magically teaching you to walk well all the time. Good to know!

[She saunters over, then she helps him with her hands. That, in fact, keeps him from falling over at first. Though, the moment she does, he teeters over.]

[Sync strolls up in time to see the Mankey fall again, and his new Mienfoo tilts her head.]

...Well. Kind of young to be walking, huh?

[She looks up at Sync, then she waves her hand once at him.]

Hey there. Maybe a little, but you gotta start sometime, right?

Yeah. Yeah you do.

[He tosses up a hand in greeting, and kneels down to look at the tiny Mankey.]

Hard to believe this little guy will be as formidable as this one soon.

[Tissi looks at Sync here, but says nothing. Reaching out to pet it, he looks up at Yang.]

Are you a Fighting type trainer?

[She looks at Tissi, then she nods. Punchy just accepts the pet, happily, though subdued. Yang looks at that, then up at Sync.]

[She studies him for just a half-second, before she nods.]

Sure am! I'm Enlightened, actually.

[globetrotting]

[Look at this cute magnet. Blue was passing by, but nope, had to stop and look. And she approaches Yang, looking at her baby mankey.]

They're so lovely! [mankeys are ttly cute.] How old are they...?

Seven days! He's a real baby, huh?

[Yang looks up at Blue and grins, brightly. She definitely thinks he's a cute Pokémon.]

Young and cute. He so is.

[She laughs a little.] Does he have a name yet?

[Lucas will eventually wander around holding a Togepi in his arms and watch the proceedings.]

...If it helps at all, Piyo still doesn't like walking, and it's already been a month.

Oh -- Not that I mean it will take that long! ...It just might take some Pokemon longer. And that's OK if they're slow - not that I'm saying he's slow. Or going to be slow. Or -- not that I'm saying you're slow either, Piyo.

I think I getcha. [Yang turns and looks at Lucas, then she flashes a smile at him, happily.]

It takes all of them different amounts of time! Right?

[Piyo looks vaguely annoyed, anyway, but Lucas will pat her on the head a few times to ameliorate any offense.]

Eheh... Right.

How long have the two of you been trying?

[Rise comes along, with her baby Nidoran Chiyome trotting along behind her. Fortunately, walking is easier for quadrupeds, and she's been learning from the Habitat Pokémon for a few weeks now.]

Oh hey, we had the same idea! Say hello to Yang, Chiyome.

Hey, Rise!

[Yang looks up and waves at Rise as she approaches, then she looks down at the baby Nidoran. She grins, and nods.]

Sure did. Say hi, Punchy.

[Punchy peeks out at Rise, partway behind Yang's leg, now.]

[Chiyome wanders over toward Yang and Punchy, sniffing the air.]

Ni! [subtitles: You don't have to hide; this human's harmless.]

I think you got a shy one, Yang. Somehow that never happens with mine...

[Squid Girl waves a hand. She apparently has nothing better to do right now than to watch this.]

Eventually he'll get tired of falling down. That's how it was with Drowny, except instead of falling down he got tired of drowning.

[ Melaka was making her way through the town and... baby mankey. Huh. Personally, she's got her own baby Machop (named Queenie, for the King's Rock she has on her crown) to get her used to some basic parkour moves that Mel uses to get around the city. She's a few weeks old, and walking! Less good with the rest of the movements, but definitely has the walking down. But they both end up stopping to look at this ]
