[A woman sits poised and holding the Warp Band carefully so that the video function is working properly. She would perhaps be familiar to those that frequent the University or the "richer" circles of Union. If not, well, she's about to introduce herself.]

Hello. It has certainly been awhile since I used the Warp Band to broadcast. I was told this would likely be the best way to get the ball rolling on a new job I've picked up at the University.

It would seem that in addition to my research, that they are wishing me to take up a few classes and also meet with students who need help with their assignments. A kind of tutor I suppose...

[Despite her words, she does seem legitimately excited for this task. Maybe she actually enjoys working with younger people.]

If you are interested, my focus is in history, legends, relics, and research, but I am quite knowledgeable in other fields as well. I will be in the cafe just down the way from the University should you like to meet me for tutoring or get to know one of your future part-time instructors.

Just ask for Setsuna, please. I'll be here for a few hours and working on updating some of my notes in the meantime.

[She smiles as she holds up a pen as if to demonstrate that, yes, she is serious about this task. Apparently someone felt like working in a new environment instead of at their apartment for a change.]

{Action}

[At a small cafe near the University sits a woman pouring over several books and stacks of notes. She is reading and also adding to the notes at the same time. Despite her video broadcast, what you didn't see was a tiny Espurr sitting curled in the seat next to her. It is apparently asleep...for the moment and purring quietly.

Feel free to approach her since, despite all the work around her, she will be quite friendly if you talk to her. She probably needs to remember to stop and drink the tea that is quickly getting cold beside her anyway.]

[have a Michiru walking into the cafe, spotting Setsuna, and then heading on over. Looks like she's been to the bookstore, judging by the bag she's got.]

Oh? You look nice and cozy. Do you mind if I join you?

[Setsuna looks up from her book and blinks.]

Oh! Michiru, fancy seeing you here. No not at all, let me clear away some of the books.

[Setsuna moves them off of the table so there will actually be room. The sound, while small, made the Espurr stir in her seat and sit up. The cat blinks its wide eyes twice and tilts its head up at Michiru. Staring.]

Thank you. [ah. She makes a mental note to do away with the formality of last names; it's less of a mouthful this way, anyway.

Kitty gets a smile.] Oh! And hello to you too. I'm sorry if I've disturbed your nap.

[and she'll take a seat as the waiter scurries over.] You're certainly working hard.

[just gonna order some tea here]

[Espurr tilts her head the other way, lets out a single mew, and falls back over to sleep. Cats.]

That's Hecate. As you can see, she doesn't let much disturb her nap time.

[The cat was a light sleeper, but it was also the kind of sleeper who returns to that state easily. Especially if it deems that nothing interesting is happening.]

I missed a lot during my little investigation and I feel like I need to make up for it I suppose.

[Not to mention this was what had originally led her on that particular investigation in the first place.]

If only some of us [re: Haruka] would show that sort of dedication. [it's more good-natured than anything. After all, her own commitment to the whole acting thing is superficial at best - even if it's a given that her performances are still flawless.

Hmm.]

Not much, really. I've been enjoying the amenities of civilization. [heh] Ah, and I picked up a new Budew friend the other day.

[Many people seem to like tea. Could it be the source of the humans' power?

Yes. These are the thoughts running through Wukong's head as he begins his stealthy approach to try and steal some.]

[Some might debate that idea. Setsuna seems rather absorbed in her books and doesn't notice anyone approaching. However, she is not alone at the table and Wukong better be careful of a sleeping Espurr...a very light sleeper at that.]

[It LOOKS like a light sleeper. This will require a delicate touch.

Wukong approaches from the far side of the table from Espurr, while trying to keep Setsuna's book between him and her.]

[Setsuna reaches for her tea and takes a sip. So far so good.

Espurr is also quiet...or did her tail twitch just now?]

[Wukong wills himself into stillness, waiting for the delicate moment to pass. He's almost there! Just a few more feet!]

[ They haven't been teammates for very long, but Haruka would already know that head of hair anywhere. Approaching from behind, she whistles when she sees the stacks of books. ]

And here I thought it was a little light reading. Yo.

[ She grins. This is strange, though: normally-spotless Haruka has a leaf stuck to her shirt. It almost looks glued. ]

[Setsuna tilts her head up to look over her shoulder at Haruka. She glances back at the books.]

This isn't so bad. You should see the size of the books I didn't bring.

[She studies the woman.]

What's going on with the leaf? You never struck me as the nature type.

[ What leaf? --Oh. Darnit. She'd let that Pokémon tag along because it had promised to behave! ]

Ah, that's....

[ And right in the middle of her sentence, something rolls over her shoulder and plunks down on the table, rattling Setsuna's teacup. It looks like a green-and-yellow ball. ]

[Setsuna sits up straight, reaching to balance her tea up before it splatters everywhere. The thump of the ball's landing startles the sleeping kitten as well. Espurr rises and stares with wide pink eyes at the ball on the table. She reaches her paws out like she wants to play with it.

Setsuna merely stares.]

Is it...a pokemon?

[The balled up shape is throwing her off here.]

It's a pain, is what it is. It followed me home from the forest.

[ Haruka grimaces at how close she'd inadvertently come to splashing Setsuna's books with the tea. She reaches to pick up the ball, but it senses the approach and decides to preempt it by rapidly unfurling. Like this in reverse. ]

Sewa!

[ BEAMING AT EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING NOW but especially the new lady in front of him. She's so pretty! And her clothes are so nice! Natto the Sewaddle sure is happy he got to go on an adventure today. ]

[There is a tiny rustle as Sync's Spinarak lowers itself on a strand, staring at Setsuna for several silent seconds before it's notoriously eerie cry comes.]

[Setsuna is absorbed in her books, but when she hears the cry she jumps. When she looks up she sees the Spinarak and sucks in a breath between her clenched teeth. She's torn between running from the bug and not making any sudden movements. So she's frozen for a moment and just stares at the spider.]

She's a fave I had to.

[It stares back before it's legs twitch and it begins lowering itself more--]

Calando.

[Stopping, it's mouthparts move a few times and it turns on the string as Sync comes up, and he raises an arm for it, and the Spinarak cuts the string loose and crawls up his arm to his shoulder to rest.]

Sorry if he scared you, I asked him to help me look, are you Setsuna?

[While that is true, he does look pretty amused now.]

[Okay, so, staying still isn't working obviously. She forces down a shudder and takes a breath. She could always try to force it back with her psychic ability...although she's not sure she can focus enough and clear her mind enough for that to even remotely work.

Thankfully, she is rescued before she has to make a decision or attempt it. Her eyes follow the spider pokemon carefully as it crawls across her books (ew) and the table (eeewww) and up the arms of a boy (ewewew). She looks up at him, though her eyes seem to linger on Spinarak.]

Y-yes. [swallow.] Yes, sorry. Were you looking for me for the tutoring offer?

[There's a small smirk now. Sync wasn't expecting such a reaction after all. Calando sits on Sync's shoulder a moment longer before moving out of sight onto his back.]

I was, I was also curious how much you charged for it.

[ Let's just assume that Hotaru is still under watch. And also that she's been passed along to Setsuna so that the other two guardians can go make out have some private time avoid practicing for the play whatever.

Hotaru's picked up one of the books, one of the ones on the early history of Union, and is flipping through the pages, scanning them for something that catches her interest, occasionally stopping to fully read a passage or two.

Pretty boring stuff, honestly. ]

[Setsuna figured she'd get pegged with the kid a lot after that first day back. After all, the other two women had a strong bond that was going to be hard to get involved with...and Setsuna wasn't sure she WANTED to know what those two did behind closed doors. Too much information really.

And, she honestly didn't mind Hotaru so much. She looks up.]

Yes. Only part time, most of my spare time is spent on research...or at least it was.

[ She knows all about research. All about it. ]

No. It's mainly looking into our past and trying to make sense of some of the relics and technology they had.

[It's only after she says it and thinks about who she is talking to that she realizes what Hotaru might be thinking. She frowns slightly. The poor girl.]

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't thinking. It's...nothing bad. I just want to make sense of our past so that we don't make the same mistakes.

[ Hotaru nods. That's good enough for her. Learn from her dad's mistakes.

She flips idly through the book again. ]

And you teach people about that sort of thing.
