Who: Everyone!
Where: The newly discovered island
What: After recent events, the people of Union could use a bit of R&R. What better place than a tropical island?

An island paradise, discovered just off the southern coast, less than a day's travel from the city. A strong enough Pokemon could easily carry their partner and others out there. It was hard to say just who sent the original message, but pictures surfaced, with the tagline "Don't you wish you were here," came over the warp bands' feeds, and, like Venomoths to the flame, people began clamoring toward this new found tropical get-away. Those who wanted to go would find it easy enough--with so many people making their way to investigate, for whatever reason they claimed (but let's be honest, it was probably the beach), one could just hitch a ride.

The island itself appeared untouched by human contact. The Pokemon were strange and different compared to the fare immediately around Union. A warm breeze blew through palm trees, carrying the scent of hibiscus flowers. The water, blue as the summer sky, was warm and inviting.

This truly was a paradise.

"Plan ahead twice. He'll have that, but he probably will pick up something else to keep you guessing."

Imogen sipped at her drink a bit and eyed him, she was bad at losing too... but pokemon battles were not her greatest skill anyway. Give her a foot race through a cave any day.

Imogen giggled at Feliks and his suggestion. "You think I didn't already? I did help her pick her suit out." Imogen was playing, of course, she checked it out but from a strictly objective best friend way. Which is less fun than you would think, as you have to keep their feelings in mind and make sure they are comfortable and okay. ...But she did enjoy it a little. "She needs it from strangers, people not me. And not Fai Flourite, too."

"Yeah, yeah. Well, I'll do a ton of stuff he'll never expect, and then he'll see!" The element of surprise, it must be admitted, is sort of Feliks's forte.

The sound of Fai's name nearly makes him jump, and even when he calms down, it's with a little bit of regret that he realizes that, for the first time he can remember, he can't tell Imogen what he's thinking. Because what he's thinking is that it's a shame, because Fai Flourite should be Union's authority on ass-niceness and his new outfit is just unfair, and also that he'd wrestle an Ursaring to get that kind of attention from him, but given what he now knows about him and Imogen...

It's just all way complicated. He'll bitch to Jadwiga later.

"I mean, she'll get over it, right? It's not like she was even into him, and she's pretty and all."

Imogen starts laughing, like, really full laughter.

"Fai and Lux are like siblings, not lovers. Which is kinda why I said his point of view wouldn't mean much. His primary concern is he didn't want me flirting with her, because Fai doesn't want her that way, but still thinks its okay to keep her from finding her own playmates."

Not that she thought Lux was in any way ready for that step in life. Lux was still getting used to her own skin, who knows when she'll be ready for the skin of others... Fai just, didn't want anyone taking advantage of her. Which Imogen could understand, but she doubted that sort of thing would happen.

Imogen would ask Jadwiga for details later.

"Fai Flourite is a lot more... centered, now that he's out of that arrangement." Which mostly means he's not all guilty when they have sex, but Imogen won't say that.

"Centered, huh?" Why are they talking about him, again? Something seems off about listening to Imogen talk about him, but he's not sure what to do about it. He fusses with his hair a little, not quite meeting her eyes.

"I guess? I mean it doesn't sound like that whole deal was great for either of them."

"Like a great weight was lifted off his shoulders. Or he just got out of a corset that was more than a little too tight."

Because Imogen is testing how much interest you have, because you boys are about as subtle as a pair of Explouds in heat. Like, really, you both act like Imogen doesn't see those looks.

"But yes, they should both be better off now that they're both free. Free to find who they really belong with." Imogen knew it wasn't her, Fai was far better a friend. Someone she loved would need to tell her not to do things sometimes.

Feliks has seen Fai getting out of a corset, and is a little dismayed at how thoroughly parts of his brain are enjoying the memory now. He sighs, because his level of interest is basically first-act Shakespearean comedy protagonist at the moment.

"Yeah, for sure. Fai doesn't deserve to settle, you know?"

A beat passes.

"I mean, like, neither of them do?"

"Exactly, who they belong with are probably already around them, they just won't see it without a little... help."

Imogen is so on to you, and Fai, and to be sure she'll be interrogating your partners later. Because the pokemon have got to know something. And Imogen can be more than a little convincing to help get them on board with her schemes.

"They were both so busy being stuck in that arrangement, that they probably completely missed the really good options around them. But, maybe now they might see a little better. And if not, there's always my brand of help."

Briefly and terribly, he wants to be jealous of her, wants to pout and sulk and refuse to talk to her. Even as self-centered as he can be, he knows that's not right, that it's not fair to one of his oldest and best friends. The really awful thing, though? It's not knowing that it would be wrong that keeps him from taking his hurt feelings out on her.

It's knowing that if he did, someone would know he's actually sad about something, and he doesn't know how do deal with that.

"Yeah? You've got some help planned out? Could be fun, I'm totally in if you need me!"

That way he can keep an eye on things, if she tries to set him up with someone. It's better than nothing, right?
