Where: The newly discovered island
What: After recent events, the people of Union could use a bit of R&R. What better place than a tropical island?

An island paradise, discovered just off the southern coast, less than a day's travel from the city. A strong enough Pokemon could easily carry their partner and others out there. It was hard to say just who sent the original message, but pictures surfaced, with the tagline "Don't you wish you were here," came over the warp bands' feeds, and, like Venomoths to the flame, people began clamoring toward this new found tropical get-away. Those who wanted to go would find it easy enough--with so many people making their way to investigate, for whatever reason they claimed (but let's be honest, it was probably the beach), one could just hitch a ride.

The island itself appeared untouched by human contact. The Pokemon were strange and different compared to the fare immediately around Union. A warm breeze blew through palm trees, carrying the scent of hibiscus flowers. The water, blue as the summer sky, was warm and inviting.

This truly was a paradise.

"He's rude, sorry.." Cress sits next to him, giving up on the Honedge for now.. After all, the bastard just wanted Cress to chance him, so he'll come back over eventually. "He'll get his, just look at this wreckage." Showing Armin the destroyed volleyball.

Armin eyes the ball with something between shock and curiosity. "How interesting. It seems Honedge don't care for games -- or was he simply unaware of the damage he was causing?"

"Oh, he knows what he's done..." Cress looks over in his honegde's view, the pokemon just giving him that creepy death stare back.

"--But I can always get another one, by the way, my names Cress Albane. What's yours...? You having a good time, the weathers great out here." Such a friendly guy, the protag levels are high in this one.

Armin gives the Honedge an uneasy smile. "I-I don't really know much about...those types..."

Augh, protag shounen is over 9000. Armin waits until he can get a word in edgewise, having fortunately been trained by Eren's sheer shounen-ness. "I'm Armin. It's nice to meet you, Cress. Yes, I'm enjoying myself very much."

Cress could tell you far to much about Honedges Armin, please save yourself by not asking, "Armin, huh? Cool. Yeah, I keep telling myself I need to get out more so I'm doing just that.

I'm here with my friend Chester if you see him around, he recently lost his little sister.. it's been rough on everyone but I'm sure you can imagine.." Have some random information stranger, it's not personal or anything. Course, the young man doesn't see anything wrong about other people knowing.. never know who's willing to help.

"...oh. I'm...sorry." Armin has no clue how to react to that, augh. So instead he'll just smile a little awkwardly. Fortunately he has the two baby Pokemon -- a shiny Espurr and a Mareep -- who crawl out of their little sandcastle nearby and onto Cress's feet. Hello, new person!

"-- ah, and this is Famke and Nim. Say hello, girls."

"It's hard to keep going in this crazy world but we always do." He gives a halfhearted smile, attention quickly directed at the new little Pokemon at his feet. "Oh..! Hey, is that an Espurr? Are they always that color?" He's seen Espurr come to his fathers training school but he doesn't remember being that pink.

Famke is now attempting to climb up Cress's leg, wanting to conquer this new person and assimilate him into her empire of human minions. Unaware of this goal, Armin watches with mild amusement.

"Not that I know of, no. They're usually greyish, I believe. Famke is just special, I guess."

Cress has a malicious looking ghost sword that possesses it's wielder, sadly the Pokmeons attempts will be for nothing. Cress knows no fear, "Maybe they are shiny, my father says some Pokemon -- really rare ones -- will come in different colors. Famke must be really special."

Espurr will conquer all, she will triumph over this fearless smiley person she will -- get onto his knee and take a rest. Conquering is hard work.

"Really? Shiny...hm. I'll have to research it. I certainly think she's special, though."

Cress just gives her a pet, "She's special, all Pokmeon are." Suddenly eyes his Honedge up that just so happened to show his eye at those words. Cress see's you, you crazy sword.. "Do you live in Union? I'm guessing so--"

"I think so too." Oh, hello Honedge. Armin's going to smile a little awkward at you, because you're sharp. "Ah, yes, I do. I just...don't get out very much."

Hello, Armin, wouldn't you like a good handshake with such a lovely Honedge such as him? No, because Cress is going to control you with his human one. Waving him away, making him 'sit.' "I.. don't get out much either. I'm part of the Swords of the Savior.. so most of my work is inner city."

No handshakes plz. Armin is busy getting all starry-eyed and amazed at Cress rn. "You're a Sword? Er...is that the proper term? Either way, that's amazing!"

Cress blushes, rubbing the back of his neck, "Ahah.. Yes I am. I'm hoping to give Union a nice helping hand in justice.. I mean, I've always been a follower and this profession keeps me close to home so I can look after my mom. Her health hasn't been great.

What do you do for a living? You still in school?"

"Do for a living?" This baffles little rich kid. Does Cress mean like...work? For money? WHAAAAT? "Um. I'm...out of school. Right now. Ah, s-sorry about your mom." Is that an appropriate thing to say??? Sympathy is good, right??

Hum? Cress doesn't really get it but ah.. sure. "She's been doing better, thanks." He looks down this his ruined volleyball, "Hey, do you know how to play? Wanna play a round?" He'll find a way to fix it, his mom packed him all sorts of 'in case of emergence' whatnot's and he's pretty sure someone around here has a air-pump.

"Um..." Armin sort of stalls, because the truth is he fails at anything and everything sports-related, ever, in the world, period. But he manages a brave smile. "I...I can try?"
