[ You may recognize Jean's ~~shitty~~ voice from him being kind of a terror with those warp bands... Well, believe it or not, he does have a job, and it's guarding people and patrolling the walls like a good Guardsman. He might complain and check his warp band constantly, but... well, when he's not dicking off, he's actually not terrible.

But that's not really saying much. Because right at the moment he's standing right at the edge, having a bit of a shouting match with his "friend," Eren. These two are so loud, you could probably hear him from down below... Yeah, who hired these two? ]

Cut it out, asshole! I'll push you off, I swear!

[ He doesn't mean that. But he sure sounds like he does. ]

Heh, then maybe you'll finally be able t' fly, huh? What say we give it a try?

[ Really don't. Do not. No. Stop that, Jean. You even left your Warp Band on, you idiot. ]

[ Yeeeeah, there's the punch. You had to go and touch his wings, didn't you. ]

[WHAP there goes the punch. Eren takes it to the cheek and then kind of stands there for a second.

Then growls and shifts and TACKLES JEAN with all the force in his little birdy body. Primarily by jumping and landing on his chest with both feet in an attempt to shove him down]

UGH, get off me, you asshole!! You're gonna get my wings dirty!

[ Wow, way to be insensitive, Eren. First you touch his little baby wings, and now those baby wings are pressed against the cold, hard ground, GOSH. ]

[ Yeah, it's too bad Jean can never actually beat Eren in a fight.... ]

[Eren narrows his eyes and leans his head down in Jean's face, opening his beak and giving Jean a nice view of all his pointy teeth. He hisses. Jean was a lot of talk but when it came down to it, Eren was tougher]

[he huffs out a little puff of steam in the cold and hops off of Jean, shifting back to human form so he can wrap himself back up in his trenchcoat]

[ Newsflash: Jean's pride is totally wounded and you suck Eren but most of all, landing on his wings kinda hurt!! Jean's not crying. He's totally not! He's just sitting up and pulling his jacket around himself and glaring, not saying anything at all. ~~But then, this is Jean, silence was never his forte.~~ ]

...Jerk. What the hell was that for?

[he has to keep Jean in line SOME how, or else that pride will grow to gigantic proportions and crush all of Union. Eren sticks out his lower lip in a pout, glaring at Jean over the collar of his coat]

[ He doesn't wanna say groping cause that sounds really, really lame. ]

[Eren rolls his eyes] You're such a big baby about them. I guess that's why they're still covered in down feathers!

[ He's so touchy about it, ok. Very very touchy. ]

Some flying type you are... you can't even glide!! [Eren shrugs!] At least I can do that. Metal brick or not!

[Eren pauses, then gives a sort of sympathetic look]

You... don't wanna fly?

[ Even if he... wants to. LIFE KINDA CRUSHED THOSE DREAMS, OKAY. ]

Who cares whether I can fly or not-- plenty of people don't.

[ Jean is getting kinda... quiet though. He really doesn't wanna keep going with this line of questioning. ]

... Yeah, well... plenty of people aren't Enlightened. [Eren feels for him, he really does] I mean... they won't be small forever. Probably.

It's not my friggin' responsibility to do anything just because I'm Enlightened or whatever!

[ Annnd Jean is starting to take a step back, glaring down at the ground. Now sure would be a good time to stay quiet, but he's never been the best at that... ]

I don't owe anyone shit. I don't need to fucking fly to get out of this shitty job and into one that actually means something, like the Swords... not this--midway point for rejects!

[ Okay, now he's gonna storm off. ]

[Eren looks like he might have been kicked and all he can do is just sort of stand there, gaping and looking stunned.

Jean sure had a way about just blurting out everything honestly, didn't he?]

Jean...! Hey Jean, wait!

[ Nope, not waiting. He's peacing out. ]

[ ...Well, except he can't because he's still on duty, but he can sure stay far away from Eren. ]

[ Now would be the time where he runs home to Marco about how Eren is a big ~~meanie~~ bag of dicks. ]

[Eren deflates a little. He hadn't meant to offend Jean so much, or make him sad... he'd just wanted to mess with him a little to pass the time.

He wraps his coat around himself tighter, buttoning it up all the way around his neck and then heading to the farther side of his post from Jean. If he wanted space, he'd give it. He didn't want to get punched again anyway.]
