[Sorey is incredibly excited to get to explore all of Union and its ruins, but he's been holding off on the ruins until Mikleo got back from Gigas so they could go exploring together.

And he's back, so that means Sorey is trying to find where the blazes he's supposed to get a lantern. His Eevee is just sitting at his feet, yawning while Sorey looks around the Union shopping district a bit confused]

There's got to be a supply shop around here somewhere...or even a bookstore.

Closed to Mikleo

[Mikleo is met by Sorey's Eevee whenever he gets back to where they're staying since Sorey's gone to get dinner. Mab nearly trips him as he runs over and rubs himself all over Mikleo's ankles. Looks like he was worried]

[Kurapika couldn't help but overhear that part, as he gently tug on the chain Pairo's holding, and the Pumpkaboo starts floating back to him]

Pardon me, did you say you were looking for a bookstore?

[Sorey turns around with a smile]

I did! D'you know where one is?

I do know of a couple different ones.

[It's one of the first things he always seek out in a settlement]

There's one that trades primarily in second-hand books, another that supplies the university, and a few general bookshops - is there anything you're looking for in particular?

What do you think, Mab? Think Mikleo will like second-hand books more? There's bound to be older books in there.

[The Eevee nods]

Where's the second-hand bookstore?

Oh! So you're shopping for a friend? Let's see to get there from here... it's probably better if I walk you there.

[He's not confident enough in his knowledge of Union's layout to just give direction]

[Mikleo gets back kind of late with Morgan and Kay in tow. He manages to catch himself before falling flat on his face as Sorey's Eevee attacks him with affection. Mab's always been a good indication of his friend's mood, even if said friend is terrible at hiding his emotions to begin with.

He kneels down and picks Mab up gently, getting out of the way of the door to move out into the living room. Mikleo scratches her behind the ears and does his best to comfort him. Kay waddles off to explore the new setting while Morgan leaps onto the couch and curls up for a nap, totally unconcerned.]

Sorry for worrying you, Mab.

[Now, Mikleo just needs to wait for Sorey to get back so that he can apologize to him, too.]

[Sorey comes home shortly, thankfully]

Mab, I thought you were--Mikleo!

[Never been more thankful for that psychic connection. Sorey sets the food down on a nearby table before hurrying in and looking for his friend]

You're home!

[Mikleo looks up at the sound of Sorey's voice. Good timing, indeed. He heads over to greet him, a small smile on his face.]

Just got back. I took a little detour on the way to Gigas, so now we have a Ducklett. His name's Kay, and he's wandering around right now.

[Since that's also important to mention. Still...he gives Sorey an apologetic look.]

Seems like I worried you both, though. Sorry about that.

[Mabinogio wanders off to go meet this Ducklett while Sorey just bumps Mikleo's shoulder]

It's fine. I was going to be worried--you were in Gigas and I couldn't go with you. You didn't get hurt, right?

[Geo's out running errands--when isn't he, these days--when he passes by Sorey and overhears him. He backpedals a little (partly because he knows the Meowstic at his side will drag him back if he doesn't).]

I could point you in the direction of a couple bookstores--a supply store too, actually.

[Sorey grins when the boy stops, waving to the Meowstic. He needs to get one of them, Mikleo isn't afraid of feline Pokémon]

Really? Do they sell lanterns and stuff for exploring the ruins?

[Maia waves back, with a pleased noise at her Trainer. She's got him well trained by this point apparently.]

I'm pretty sure they do. [A beat.] And if not, I could always try to cobble something together, for a lantern--I'm an Engineer so I'm good at that kind of thing.

Oh, really? Either one would be great, just so long as it's not Electric-typed or anything.

[Fire type is okay, but Electric would hurt Mikleo]

--or do you not use magic for that? Sorry, I'm still new here.

[Cyan just happened to have been peering into the window next to Sorey when he speaks up. She looks over at him curiously- startles a bit realizing she's staring, and then tries to think of a way to speak up.]

Um... What are you looking for?

Oh.

[Sorey turns and smiles at the girl]

A bookstore, and maybe a map.

Hmm.

[She wasn't sure about maps, but she did see a few bookstores.]

I think I know where a bookstore is. I could show you?

That'd be great, if you could. I'm still new, I keep getting lost.

15 minutes late w/ starbucks

[And who should be walking down the street today but Rose? She's back -- back in Union, and a little relieved, and... a little worried, all told. As much as Rose worries about anything. (...which isn't much.)]

[She stops when she spots that head of brown hair, though, walking down the street. She overhears what Sorey asks, and the instincts kick in. She approaches, waving.]

Hey there! Watcha looking for?

[Sorey jumps a little before turning around with a smile]

Oh, books and ruin exploration supplies.

You're in luck! I have that.

[She pauses.]

I have most of that. I've got some books. I picked a few up in Gigas!

You went to Gigas?

[Sorey's excitement is mixed with concern]

And you got books from them?
