[Long time no see, Union. When the feed clicks on, there is one somewhat confused Hayato Ichimonji looking into the camera. He glances up to make a face and it's easy to see the gates of the City behind him. Goro the Marowak is dutifully on his shoulder while he heads further into the city.]

You folks sure know how to get into trouble after a guy leaves. Was I really gone that long? Yeesh.

[He looks back at the camera.]

I've been keeping up with most of it over the network but if anyone wants to give me the juicy details, please. I need to get caught up. Also!

If anyone has been wondering about Kazuya Taki, I just want to let you know he's been trapped in paperwork Hell thanks to the Battalion. If he doesn't drown he'll probably come back but he's hanging back in Caldera for now.

What kind of juicy details did you have in mind? Like how we celebrated with the gods?

[ Wow, she actually sounds smug about that. ]

Why is it you guys have parties with Gods and all they do to me is try to kill me? I must have offended someone in a past life.

To be fair, one of them did have it out for us. I wasn't sure we were going to make it out in one piece.

[ Her fiance basically nearly died twice. She was not pleased. ]

I'm not very surprised. The last time I had a run in with the Gods it was with two really angry bird ones and all they wanted was our icy demise. You might remember that report.

[Since he did submit that to the Seekers when she was asking for them.]

But one having it out for us while the rest were on our side ...that counts for something I guess.

[ She nods gently. ]

It is a bit strange, if you think about it. All this time, we just assumed that the gods had one centralized goal, but that they would fight against each other throws that hypothesis out completely. We're back to square one as far as figuring out their motivations are concerned.

[A thoughtful pause.]

You know. Caldera wasn't ever big on the God stuff in general, so I guess I personally never thought too hard about what they wanted until I came here. If you want my honest opinion as an outsider, It sounds like they're not all that different from us.

[He shrugs a little.]

Human, God, or pokemon, the lines there are getting pretty blurred. So who's to say that they don't all have disagreements, or factions or beliefs just like we do?

I wouldn't say that too loudly...
