The White Dragon
The people of Union have descended into the besieged city, doing everything in their power to aid the citizens of Glacier yet remaining within. Whether struggling against the invaders seemingly loyal to the White Dragon, or seeking out the injured and lost in need of aid, they take advantage of several hours of relative calm to do all they can. And for a time, it seems to be working - the invaders are not so very strong after all, not against the experienced Unionites who have surpassed everything from human armies to memories of gods.
But perhaps the might of the two combined is an altogether different challenge.
GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAH!
The sensation is felt throughout the whole of the city, the rumbling of the earth itself enough to take down the more unstable buildings in its wake. From any point, at any height, all eyes are drawn to the monstrosity that has descended in the blink of an eye into the still-burning town center. A great, white dragon... Exactly as described by those who had escaped from the city.
Those with sharp eyes will see that standing beside it, there seems to be a human figure.
Its sheer presence is overwhelming. The air around it ripples with an aura of heat, but felt even more keenly than that, there is a devastating sense of raw power and control. This being... this god could burn down the entire earth if it wished. A city of Glacier's relative size... What chance did it possibly have? That the world yet remains standing seems almost a mercy. Its size is immense, its bulk several times larger than that of a Wailord, its height almost seeming to rival the tallest towers of Union, though perhaps this is an exaggeration of the mind.
It takes a step forward, and the earth shudders once more in its wake.
All across the frozen city of Glacier, every individual carrying a Warp Band will suddenly feel the device activate of its own accord as a video feed begins to play. Attempting to turn it off fails, and changing it doesn't seem to work either. Something, or someone, has hijacked the feed and is using it for their own announcement.
A tall, severe looking man stares into the feed, his lone eye seeming to burn with an unnatural fire. And beside him, only its lower body visible, stands the feet of the White Dragon, its fur outlined in crisp detail from this distance. The man gazes steadily forward, eyes yet alight with passion.
"So, it seems that this place has found someone to come to its aid. No matter, our plans will not be disrupted by insects like you. Still, it's good to know that there are humans left that understand the value of kinship with our fellow inhabitants of this world. It brightens my day, you might say, to know that my men have been facing honorable opponents, and not weak cowards that still cling to the old ways.
A pity that when we're done here, we'll have to come for you next. I won't lie to you and say we'll show you mercy, but at least your deaths will be swift."
He smiles then, a thin and grave expression.
Every fiber of those remaining in the city screams to flee from this threat. There is nothing they can do - they must retreat. But though their minds may instinctively beg for such a course of action, to do so means to abandon its people to a fiery demise. Can they truly run from this?
They must choose quickly... and this time, it is not a choice concerning a rabid creature, an angered and wild animal lashing out. This cold and calculated destruction, sanctioned by a god itself, so reminiscent of what was said to have happened in the past. To oppose it, perhaps, means to steer the course of history into terrible new waters. Choose quickly, people of Union. What answer will you find?
((Reshiram is a Legendary, and thus, the normal rules will not apply. It will be able to strike through abilities that would seemingly protect people, and analysts will not be able to sense its weaknesses. It radiates an aura of power that will inspire fear and awe in those who see it. Please be warned that there is a definite chance of injury when attacking this creature; however, despite all this, it is possible to defeat it.
Have fun! And enjoy some mood music.))

Sukuna, Moriya help Takuto! Please!
[ It takes a moment for the Azumarill to respond, looking up at Reshiram and nearly cowering in fear instead. Even Moriya, who is normally unaffected by just about everything, seems to reel a bit at the legendary's presence. But the Water-types do as they are told, and unleash two Hydro Pumps at the beast. ]

The confusion leaves the Dragon more or less completely vulnerable to the ensuing attacks, though, and while it's spinning around in anger at the Dual Chop and the sword strike, Sanae's dual Hydro Pump smashes into its back. Boosted by the gentle rain, it's almost enough to make the fires glowing in its tail dim slightly.]
Graaaaaaaawr!
[That's it. No more Mr. Outraged Dragon. Taking off and leaving an enormous scorch mark in the ground (and hopefully on Tendou, too), it hovers in the sky for a moment, eyes still spinning slightly.]
Enough!
[And that tail, glowing brightly again now, whirs to life as Reshiram readies itself for its greatest attack. So much so that the very air seems to chill as the winds whip up around it, churning faster and fast --
Wait a moment. That's not an attack.]

[In the next moment, the dragon is engulfed in a monstrous Hurricane that sends its Blue Flare haphazardly spewing out in every direction but the right one as it goes spinning through the skies. Sanae's Rain Dance seems to have taken on a terribly chilly quality as the water droplets fall - from above, there comes a great flapping of wings before an enormous, beautiful bird settles in mid-air above them, a shower of crystalline ice detaching from its wings with every beat.
It looks bemused.]
Do you need me? You're doing very well on your own...
[The telepathic broadcast seems vaguely absent-minded even as Reshiram recovers and surges towards them again.]
Ah... What a pity. The beauty of this land marred by such callous destruction... I cannot forgive it.
Fight on, children. We are with you. Though, perhaps, I will be with you... from a slight distance. I do not take well to Fire...
[The chill of the air seems revitalizing, somehow. The breeze picks up as Tailwind encompasses the group moments before Reshiram lashes out once more.]

At the end of it, her body lay on the ground unmoving. A shallow breathing the only indicator that she was still there, just not combat capable. She's sorry guys, she really tried.]

But like hell he's going to give up now. ]
Don't worry, all you need to do is watch us win.
[ Sorry Articuno, this child is a cocky little shit, even when he's struggling to stand.
His confidence isn't completely unfounded, though. His health may be blinking red, but he feels more powerful than ever. A divine wind behind his back added to the power granted by his evolution means he can hardly bear to keep still. ]
Clock Up.
[ He takes a deep breath, and readies a Swords Dance before kicking off the ground, a literal blur of speed climbing straight up the hollow shell of a tower. ]
High Jump Kick!
[ He launches into the air, a whistling bullet aiming to crash knee first into the dragon god. ]

He tries to avoid the attack as best as he can, but there's no way he can run fast enough. The poor bear ends up getting thrown rather hard by the sheer force of the smash, and the cover he thought would of been a good idea to hide behind went flying with him.
He rolls along the ground until he's face first into the snow] Owie... [He groans in pain before some of the debris smacks into him. Why did he decide cover was going to help? This just ended far worse than it could have been.
Slowly, he gets back on his feet, but not before flinching from a small piece of debris that bounces off of his head. Well, everything hurts now, but at least he's still alive! Though he's freaking out now since another god has popped up. It's good news though, and Teddie will always take good news. The chilling air produced by Articuno is welcomed, and he checks to see how the others are doing after all of that.]
Bear maiden down! Bear maiden down! [Using the tailwind to his advantage, Teddie rushes over to Ahri to check her condition. He's relieved that she's still breathing, but now he's going to try and get her away from the fight just in case Reshiram gets any ideas on trying to finish her off. He addresses the others while moving the fellow shifter to what he hopes to be a safer place.] You guys kick his bearhind! I'll keep her safe!
Maro! [This dragon is going down! Bernard Bone Rushes Reshiram, going for three consecutive swings.]

[Taking Tendou at his word, the great bird flaps down and settles on the ground beside the fallen Ahri and Teddie. ...Peering curiously, it reaches down and... pecks her a few times. This is probably out of concern?]
We received firm instructions to ensure a minimal loss of life...
[After a moment, it kicks her with its talon.]
Get up. You will freeze to death and I have not been a psychopomp in centuries.
[This is how humans work, right? After another moment or two of fruitless prodding, it seems to realize something.]
Ah, yes.
[A Hyper Potion will probably be more helpful here, right? Most of it spills on the ground, but enough should fall into Ahri's mouth to revitalize her.]
I use these for my painting.
[Meanwhile, back in the land of Pokemon that are actually making themselves useful, Bernard's Bone Rush is usually rather weak, but stings surprisingly hard against the dual Dragon/Fire type. It's a bit like stepping on a tack - the dragon rears back in surprise, and this is enough time to give Tendou the maneuverability he needs to pull off that attack that so easily backfires.
The High Jump Kick smashes straight into Reshiram's lower jaw, and knocks it reeling back!]
Ah. I believe this would be the time...
[An enormous Ice Beam smashes into Reshiram from a distance as Articuno spreads wide its wings to slam its opponent with an unrelenting wave of frost, holding its fire momentarily at bay.]
Quickly now!

Sorry... I got reckless...
[But she saw that this wasn't a time to feel sorry for herself, or to wallow in how useless she felt. Everyone was giving it her all and even if she wasn't nearly as experienced as everyone else, she'd give it her all no matter what. With a reassuring nod, Ahri took the moment where the great bird unleashed its attack to send some of her own.
Her spirit fire surrounded her and she sent it flying alongside other blasts of Confuse Ray. She'd do what she could, it'd be up to the stronger teams to do the bulk of the damage.]
no subject
Oh well, he was still grateful for the help.] Thanks a bunch! [He'd turn back to Ahri when she finally got up.] It's okay, you're still beary much alive, and you can still fight! [That's what mattered right now.
What also mattered was now they had the opportunity for an all-out-attack!] Now's our chance! Everyone hit that grizzly with everything you've got! Raaaaaawr!
[Bernard nodded as the opportunity to attack presented itself, and went to strike Reshiram with a Bone Club.]

[A wave of powerful fairy energy comes flying from the mark in Takuto's chest and launches itself right at Reshiram]

Spirit of the past, Yasaka!
[ Arrays of Water-type bullets surrounding her, obscuring the priestess from view, she lets them loose as Takuto's beam fires. Carried by the fierce wind, she hopes to not only distract and blind Reshiram with their dazzling display, but do tons of damage as well. ]

One last pass. Go, Sora.
[ And the Aerodactyl complied, dive-bombing the dragon god with an Ice Fang while Tendou, still on its back, followed up with a Hammer Arm of his own, Trainer and Pokemon crashing down like a single speeding bullet. ]

[The Ice Beam does not hold for long - with one great slash of its claw, Reshiram breaks through its fellow god's attack, causing Articuno to fall away with a grunt of pain. But it has served its purpose. Close behind, the remainder of the attacks surge in towards the dragon.
Confuse Ray strikes first, and though it may not cause any damage, it ensures that their enemy is too dazed to protect itself against anything else. The remaining attacks strike almost in unison - Galactic Beam, Yasaka, Bone Club, long range attacks that send Reshiram staggering back in the snow, leaving tread marks a good hundred feet wide. Yet even so, it attempts to step forward. And through sheer force of will, it seems to do so, one great shudder after the other.
And then, blinded by Confuse Ray, distracted by the other attacks, it does not see Tendou falling from the sky like a brick.
The dual strikes crash straight into its head and the old adage proves true - the bigger they are, the harder they fall. The reverberation as it smashes into the ground is like a miniature earthquake of its own.]
Ah... Silence at last.
((This is the end of the log! Feel free to continue threading amongst yourselves if you wish; thanks for participating!))
