The White Dragon
The people of Union have descended into the besieged city, doing everything in their power to aid the citizens of Glacier yet remaining within. Whether struggling against the invaders seemingly loyal to the White Dragon, or seeking out the injured and lost in need of aid, they take advantage of several hours of relative calm to do all they can. And for a time, it seems to be working - the invaders are not so very strong after all, not against the experienced Unionites who have surpassed everything from human armies to memories of gods.
But perhaps the might of the two combined is an altogether different challenge.
GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAH!
The sensation is felt throughout the whole of the city, the rumbling of the earth itself enough to take down the more unstable buildings in its wake. From any point, at any height, all eyes are drawn to the monstrosity that has descended in the blink of an eye into the still-burning town center. A great, white dragon... Exactly as described by those who had escaped from the city.
Those with sharp eyes will see that standing beside it, there seems to be a human figure.
Its sheer presence is overwhelming. The air around it ripples with an aura of heat, but felt even more keenly than that, there is a devastating sense of raw power and control. This being... this god could burn down the entire earth if it wished. A city of Glacier's relative size... What chance did it possibly have? That the world yet remains standing seems almost a mercy. Its size is immense, its bulk several times larger than that of a Wailord, its height almost seeming to rival the tallest towers of Union, though perhaps this is an exaggeration of the mind.
It takes a step forward, and the earth shudders once more in its wake.
All across the frozen city of Glacier, every individual carrying a Warp Band will suddenly feel the device activate of its own accord as a video feed begins to play. Attempting to turn it off fails, and changing it doesn't seem to work either. Something, or someone, has hijacked the feed and is using it for their own announcement.
A tall, severe looking man stares into the feed, his lone eye seeming to burn with an unnatural fire. And beside him, only its lower body visible, stands the feet of the White Dragon, its fur outlined in crisp detail from this distance. The man gazes steadily forward, eyes yet alight with passion.
"So, it seems that this place has found someone to come to its aid. No matter, our plans will not be disrupted by insects like you. Still, it's good to know that there are humans left that understand the value of kinship with our fellow inhabitants of this world. It brightens my day, you might say, to know that my men have been facing honorable opponents, and not weak cowards that still cling to the old ways.
A pity that when we're done here, we'll have to come for you next. I won't lie to you and say we'll show you mercy, but at least your deaths will be swift."
He smiles then, a thin and grave expression.
Every fiber of those remaining in the city screams to flee from this threat. There is nothing they can do - they must retreat. But though their minds may instinctively beg for such a course of action, to do so means to abandon its people to a fiery demise. Can they truly run from this?
They must choose quickly... and this time, it is not a choice concerning a rabid creature, an angered and wild animal lashing out. This cold and calculated destruction, sanctioned by a god itself, so reminiscent of what was said to have happened in the past. To oppose it, perhaps, means to steer the course of history into terrible new waters. Choose quickly, people of Union. What answer will you find?
((Reshiram is a Legendary, and thus, the normal rules will not apply. It will be able to strike through abilities that would seemingly protect people, and analysts will not be able to sense its weaknesses. It radiates an aura of power that will inspire fear and awe in those who see it. Please be warned that there is a definite chance of injury when attacking this creature; however, despite all this, it is possible to defeat it.
Have fun! And enjoy some mood music.))

Is all this destruction for your enjoyment? For this human? Why are you doing this?

[ Sanger is mad now, and that is rarely a good thing for anyone involved. This white dragon was disappointed, was it? Well then, that could hardly stand. If it wanted to be impressed, Sanger would do it, but it would come at a dear price. ]
I am Sanger Zonvolt, the Sword that Smites Evil!
[ The sword in his hands manages to grow even further, becoming larger than even Sanger himself, and he was not a small man by any stretch of the imagination. Ten feet was still dwarfed completely by the dragon's size, but the destructive power of the Colossal Blade extended far beyond its edge.
He kicked off the ground, throwing up a trail of dust behind him with sheer forward momentum, Colossal Blade trailing just behind him. ]
Colossal Blade Gravity Drop!
[ And he kept moving forward, straight past Reshiram, blade sweeping around his body as he crossed its feet, aiming to cut through its limb with a circular slash. ]

Ah! One of those fusions...
[Reshiram looks vaguely amused as it considers Saber much as one would consider a zoo animal.]
You will understand. It is time to remake this world... A second chance has been offered. That chance has been spurned!
[Sanger Zonvolt, the Sword that Smites Evil, does not receive any particular response to his bravado as Reshiram takes to the sky to back away from the sword. It might be nearly all-powerful, but it still had enough sense not to sit on the ground and let its foot get slashed off. The sword, though, slashes cleanly through its hindquarters - and the great god roars in pain.]
...Better.
[And in the blink of an eye, the fire turns off for a split second - Sanger Zonvolt, the Sword that Smites Evil, will be engulfed in a Dragon Pulse instead at nearly point-blank distance.]

[There's a strange feeling of deja vu again as she asks that question - as if she's asked it many times before. Saber ignores it for now and charges in to hit the god as hard as she can with an Iron Head, slamming herself points-first into him while he's attempting to Dragon Pulse her ally.]

Both human and pokemon charge foward, darting about at high speeds. Excellen fires Normal-type bullets at Reshiram from her rifle, and Pidgeot unleashing a Hurricane attack.
If they were going to fall here, she would at least put up a fight. ]

[ Sanger took the blow head-on. He didn't have a choice. The peerless Colossal Blade and the steel growing on his body were the only things protecting him right now, but if he was going to die here, he would do it on his feet. After the declarations he had made, Sanger could not possibly give Reshiram the satisfaction of kneeling.
His heels dug deep grooves into the dirt as he held his ground through little more than sheer force of will, and it was his turn to let out a roar of pain. ]
GAARGH!
[ At least his teammates were having a bit more luck now that the dragon's wrath was fully focused on Sanger. It even gave Gouwan a chance to pop out of the Warp Band, and now a Metang, it flew into Reshiram with a Zen Headbutt. ]
no subject
Tch -- !
[It isn't that forceful, isn't it? But the attack is so great that Reshiram is sent stumbling back, interrupting the full brunt of the Dragon Pulse and as well as exposing some of its underside to the bullets. Sanger is saved some damage by the intercession.
It roars in pain, caught off-guard enough that the Hurricane and Zen Headbutt knock it for a loop as well - there comes a moment's breather before it responds.]
Humans... are a blight!
[And its response is cruel. That last volley was too successful - the blood flows freely down its flank and the leg targeted by Kyosuke almost seems lame now. For the sentient Doublade, it chows down with Fire Fang, spitting her blade first towards the annoying Pidgeot in the air. Garchomp, the source of its greatest pain, gets a personal Dragon Claw as it swipes it into a building. The rest receive a round of Extrasensory, meant to inflict enough psychic damage to get them to back off for a bit.]

[ Sanger was lucky that he resisted Dragon-type attacks with his new Steel-typing, but having a legendary's full focus turned upon him at point blank range would give anyone pause, resist or not. So for all his bravado, he needs to take a moment to find his footing.
So he does, opening the distance between himself and Reshiram by leaping back, firing off a shockwave from his sword that's reminiscent of nothing more than a Force Palm (albeit with no palms involved) in the same motion.
Gouwan on the other hand, comes as close to ignoring Psychic-type attacks as possible without actually being completely immune. Taking the Extrasensory in stride, it continues to ram its entire body into the dragon god with another Zen Headbutt, this time aimed at its weakened leg and hindquarters. ]

[Solrock is long out cold, thanks to Turboblaze and those Earth attacks. Saber wonders how the god managed to hit it, but at the moment, her only concern is ending this fight, and her best means of doing that is:]
Gabite!
[The Dragon-type warps in, fresh to the battle if still a little banged up from the encounter in the wilderness, and immediately goes for his tried-and-true way of getting large Fire-types to kneel, or at least stop burning stuff: Sand Tomb. Saber throws herself into the attack as well, launching herself with the remaining power in her Magnet Rise to attack the god's torso with a Night Slash - she's not getting in easy reach of those teeth again.]

You know the truth. The evil created by your kind... is immeasurable!
[That single word seems to resonate strongly within their minds as the god speaks. The truth... The truth of what they have experienced. The truth of what they have seen Gigas done, what they have seen Sanctuary done, what Caldera turns a blind eye to, what Citadel cares not to address.
And now it lifts up into the sky at the annoyance that has appeared in its way. One more good strike... but it goes both ways, does it not? Double-Edge, Sand Tomb, Zen Headbutt, coming from the grounded Pokemon, miss as it rises, and though it feels the pain of the Night Slash and the shockwave Force Palm, they are not strong enough to ground it once more.
Excellen gets her desire as she darts around its head. With unerring aim and speed, it lunges forward with one more point-blank Fusion Flare. Though the aim isn't terribly necessary. Anywhere within 50 feet of its target would do.]
Totally and Definitely Void Here
Grrwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaawwwwwr!
[Lightning strikes from a clear sky, and the sound of the thunderclap commingles with the great Roar that echoes out across the entire city. It has no physical force to it - but its strength is such that the Fusion Flare dies in Reshiram's jaws as it goes hurtling back to crash heavily against a building that had thus far escaped harm.
Excellen's unlife appears to be spared for the moment.]
So it's true. Never did we think that you would begin your vendetta so soon. There will be much to report.
[The great dragon takes back to the air, seething in rage.]
Hah! You've come as well?! It matters not -- all the world will burn, no matter who stands against us!
[Another flash of lightning, and the thunder beast appears by Kyosuke, Sanger, Excellen, and Saber, fur crackling with electricity. Static leaps to each individual, and the brief jolt almost seems to give them a renewed strength, somehow... Simultaneously, the electricity forms a shimmering Reflect around each of them.]
Hm. We'll need more buckets, then. Come, children. On your feet now.

EXCELLEN!
[Without immediately registering the newcomer, jumped into the air, fire blazing from his back and grabbed her out of the way and brought her to the ground, skidding across the ground and upturning earth as he went. Placing her gently upon the ground, he turned to look at the dragon, eyes blazing. Ejecting the spent capsules from his stake, he reloaded it before blasting forward, directly at Reshiram and unloading an entire clip of gattling fire from his arm, the heat horn charging up to deliver several blows as he closed into melee as he threw a Claymore mine which detonated into high-velocity ball bearings that flung themselves at Reshiram. Almost before they cleared, he came in with his stake once more, unloading every charge into Reshiram that he could before dashing past.]
This is my... Trump Card.

The world moves in slow motion as she floats, surprisingly calm despite the great dragon hurdling toward her. So this was how it was going to finally happen. Seeing the creature's mouth glow, Excellen braced herself for impact. But instead of a blast of heat, she is startled by a sudden clap of thunder, and is momentarily stunned.
So much so that she doesn't see Kyosuke coming.
Something grabbed her, and she instinctively jerked against his grip. Snapping to attention, she looked at him, eyes widening in the realization of what just happened. Even as he lowered her to the ground, she was stunned, not sure where to look, how to process everything. It was a strange feeling. All she could do was stand and stare as Kyosuke charged ahead without her.
Another god? And how did Kyosuke--did he jump that far, just to get to her?
Not the time, Excellen.
Shaking it off, she held out her Warp Banded arm. ]
Slimer, let's go!
[ Summoning the Goodra, it whips an Aqua Tail at Reshiram. ]

[--and then the lightning god shows up, stopping the attack cold and knocking the dragon back. Saber is going to have to seriously consider worshiping the Savior, if only because she doubts Raikou wants that level of attention.]
I thank you.
[While Saber gets her bearings, her now-frustrated Gabite gives up any pretense of strategy and simply leaps upward to smash away at the larger dragon with a Dragon Claw.]
[Saber breathes out, and focuses, the electrical charge from the allied god helping to buoy her up on the last of her Magnet Rise's power. She holds her blade half steady, concentrating entirely on the enemy before her.]
Humans have committed, and still commit, great evil. Humans have achieved, and still achieve, great good. Until and unless all the gods declare war again, however, I will fight to protect them with all the power I have in this life.
[She draws her sword half back, charges forward through the air...]
Sacred!
[...and smashes forward with irresistable strength.]
Sword!

[ Sanger stood tall, empowered by Raikou's arrival. He had almost been taken out of the fight, but he would have gone back in as many times as necessary until his life burnt out, with or without the assistance of another god.
But hey, not dying is a plus. ]
Absurd! Humanity has its foibles, but I will not hear of them from someone whose answer is genocide!
[ That includes the decision of the gods in times of yore too. If you can work with a scalpel, why use a Colossal Blade? But since they're here to stop the White Dragon now, Sanger doesn't have any quarrel with them right now. Instead, he's completely focused on the opponent before him. ]
This blade strikes like a flash of lightning.
[ He charges forward just behind Saber, carving a line in the ground behind him with the tip of his massive blade, and slashes twice. A horizontal blow followed by a great uppercut, pushed up into the air by a burst of air from behind him. ]
Colossal Blade, Hurricane Thunderclap!

[It seems that Reshiram is through quibbling with moral arguments as it gives one more great cry. It is time to destroy these interlopers once and for all, regardless of whom or what they have on their side. It rears back... then barrels forward with all the speed it possesses towards the group of four and their defender, mouth open and flames spewing.
A significant number of Kyosuke's rounds detonate too soon in the force of that heat whilst others melt; still, the Trump Card leaves behind noticeable gaping wounds. Similarly, it barrels past so quickly that the ground-bound Goodra and Gabite are unable to do more than graze its enormous flank with their attacks, but they, too, cannot stop the charge.
But no matter how powerful, how fast, how undefeatable it may be... it cannot shrug off two enormous blades slammed straight into its face. Reshiram's cry of pain is more like a screech even as it tries to incinerate Saber and Sanger with the last of its flames.]
I will hold it. End this now!
[Lightning runs up and down the dragon's body as Raikou blinks forward and sends a Thunder Wave running up and down its enormous frame. This is the final blow!]
no subject
I am sorry...but fighting is in our nature.
Sacred Sword!
[With the last of her strength, she smashes her sword downward into the god's head.]
no subject
Superpower!
[ No finesse, just smashing everything into his target with sword and sheer strength. It's an attack that'll leave him open, but it doesn't matter. There's nothing more after this. ]
no subject
[Kyosuke launches his final mine at the Reshiram]

Watching Kyosuke, Sanger and Saber give it their all, the blond quickly switched gears. Wow, was this their finishing moment? Forcefully shrugging off her surprise and bit of funk, Excellen once again rockets forward into the sky, brandishing her Octstan Launcher. ]
Say hello to my little friend!
[ Rapid firing at the white dragon, she switches her blasts between Normal and Psychic-type bullets with lightning speed, darting around the creature thanks to her Agility boost. ]
no subject
And though bleeding and in devastating pain, it is not until the combination of the final two attacks that an end comes to the battle.
The Superpower smashes it back - and given the size of the beast, the fact that Sanger could move it at all is a testament to his strength. And finally, that last claymore...]
Grawaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr!
[With a blast that seemed to reverberate throughout the city, the dragon is blown back, bounces heavily against the ground a few times, and lies still.]
...
...
...
And there it goes.
[Lest they think it has been killed... in the next moment, the great dragon rises once more and takes to the air, vanishing in a whirlwind of fur and blood.]
((The log has concluded at this point! Feel free to continue threading amongst yourselves if you wish! Thanks for participating!))

They were really going to die here, weren't they?
Activating her Warp Band, she sent her equally stunned Pidgeot back, only barely managing to avoid the Doublade shifter barreling toward him. No more lives lost today, it would end with her.
She was already dead anyway.Another Extrasensory makes her head throb, and Excellen cups her temple with her free hand. She descends a bit, losing altitude fast and nearly colliding with the wall of a building. Quickly recovering, she shoots back up, trying to hover above the white dragon, hands trembling a bit, the blond gives it a chilling smile. She speaks softly, a strange tone to her voice. ]
I'm going to get its attention, so get out of here while you still can.
[ One more hit, that's all it would probably take. But that didn't matter. She shouldn't be here. Let the living live, and the dead... well, do what the dead do. ]
Sorry, but I think it's time we went separate ways. I don't need another bad relationship.
[ Brandishing her Ochstan Rifle, she couldn't help but chuckle at herself. She was being a coward now too, wasn't she?
Drawing a bead between her gun and the beast, she pressed down on the trigger, letting out a barrage of Psychic-charged beams, darting this way and that. Pay attention to her. Notice her. That's what she wanted, wasn't it? ]
Come on, you big, ugly brute. Let's dance.
