[Text/Action] 002
[A: Text, to everyone]
I hope that everyone is recovering from the recent ordeal. It was worrisome, to say the very least. Nonetheless, it seems that some benefit may have been derived from it, at least.
Has anyone successfully done one of these new evolutions?
[B: Text, private to Kyouko]
[Yeah... here's why she did text. She doesn't trust herself to not get emotional talking to Kyouko about this.]
I saw it in my memories. Inside of that cave that the others went inside of. Not the real thing.
[C: Action, later, at Junes!]
[Mami promised that she would stop by Junes. She wants to go see it, besides; she could stand to buy a few things, especially a few things from home. But herfriend boyfriend it's complicated really there's not a good word for him special cute buddy Yosuke works here. And that is more than enough reason to get her here.]
[You might find her browsing the aisles, looking over the various goods. Especially some of the clothing. Winter is coming, after all, and she means to be ready for it. But she's also looking for Yosuke, peering about all parts of the store.]
[And later, she's sitting down at a table in the cafe portion, sipping tea. Because of course she is!]

[Only one of those things is true. She sips her tea, quiet for a moment, then:]
It's different in Citadel. We are largely herders. And women... we are expected to be the fighters there. Choosing to do so would be expected. So while they would have approved, I think... they would have been expected to approve. If that makes sense?

It makes perfect sense. Tradition is tradition. And it's hard to argue with societal pressure. But then, I suppose it's not all that different from how my family believes. And really, I get the same feeling from Yosuke about his family.

[Does Yosuke struggle with it? He'd implied it before, but... never entirely said. On the other hand, she knows some of his weaknesses. The fear of loneliness. How he wants to be seen.]
[It makes sense.]
Sometimes, I think that means going against such pressures.

[This is a conversation she's had with Yosuke, really.]
So, that's why I've pushed back. And why I'm glad Yosuke has some too.

[She sips her tea again and smiles.] ...I think for us--Enlightened, or Windblessed, I mean--we especially have an obligation to help how we feel we best can.

[Yukiko waves a hand, somewhat amused.]
I think we have more than an obligation to help. I'd call it fate. We were chosen for something.

[She's not a follower of the Savior, after all.]

[The Savior is all well and good, but...]

[She nods once.] It certainly feels right.

In any event.
[She finishes her tea.]
This is excellent.

Mm. Yes! I must commend Junes on their fine selection.

[Smalltalk again, but still something to think about...]

[...which, granted, Junes sells.]

There will be more cookies for my tea parties that way.
[Mami Tomoe's priorities, ladies and gentlemen.]

[She just smiles somewhat vaguely. Not unhappy, at all. What a pleasant person]
((ooc: and let's call it here?))

[Mami waves over someone to refill her tea. It seems like a wise idea. Hooray for good, pleasant company!]
((ooc: Sure!))
