I hope that everyone is recovering from the recent ordeal. It was worrisome, to say the very least. Nonetheless, it seems that some benefit may have been derived from it, at least.

Has anyone successfully done one of these new evolutions?

[B: Text, private to Kyouko]

[Yeah... here's why she did text. She doesn't trust herself to not get emotional talking to Kyouko about this.]

I saw it in my memories. Inside of that cave that the others went inside of. Not the real thing.

[C: Action, later, at Junes!]

[Mami promised that she would stop by Junes. She wants to go see it, besides; she could stand to buy a few things, especially a few things from home. But her friend boyfriend it's complicated really there's not a good word for him special cute buddy Yosuke works here. And that is more than enough reason to get her here.]

[You might find her browsing the aisles, looking over the various goods. Especially some of the clothing. Winter is coming, after all, and she means to be ready for it. But she's also looking for Yosuke, peering about all parts of the store.]

[And later, she's sitting down at a table in the cafe portion, sipping tea. Because of course she is!]

[He's at work, and his break is soon, thankfully. But there's still a lot to be done, having wheeled a bunch of boxes into the newly built bathroom section of the store. It's almost completely stocked, save for the boxes of towels he's got in the isle. There's a lot of them, maybe stacked a little higher than he should have. They'd all been opened to make sure what was ordered was inside, and he reaches up to grab the first box off the top.

Which results in a resounding crash of boxes and a yelp from him.

Mami will find him buried under four boxes and towels that have fallen out and covered him completely, as he tripped and fell on his ass in surprise.]

[Mami walks upon this sight and blinks. For a moment, there's concern -- is he okay under all of that? -- before she decides that of course a Windblessed can take a pile of boxes falling on him. She glances down at Yosuke, confirms it's him, then walks up to him.]

[She pulls away the box covering his face and smiles radiantly down at him.]

Excuse me, could tell me which aisle has the tomatoes?

[Mami Tomoe: LITERALLY THE DEVIL]

[punchesyu]

Huh...? [He blinks as the box is removed from his head. To reveal Mami. He has a tiny little freak out trying to scramble to his feet, which is unsuccessful as he lands right back on his ass, tripping again on some washcloths that had fallen out.]

Mami! The tomatoes are in...hey! Wait a second! What do you mean which aisle has the tomatoes?! That's not what's important right now! A little help here?

[Just one of his normal reactions.]

Aren't you supposed to help customers?

[But no, Mami isn't that mean (usually). She starts moving boxes off him so he can sit back up straight and not be weighed down too much. She's even pretty careful about it!]

[punchesyu]

Well, yeah- [He whines, embarrassed about her catching him looking like a loser on the floor like this-] but usually they don't ask me questions when I'm on the ground like this!

[He moves too, trying to clear the little area so he can safely stand, a little slower this time.]

Thanks... [Definitely embarrassed.]

Well, I'm sure some customers must ask you things from the floor. Perhaps short ones.

[wink~]

You're quite all right, I trust? That did look like a nasty tumble.

[punchesyu]

[He sighs. He's getting picked on, but that's okay, he brought it on himself.]

Yeah, I'm alright. You sure did pick a bad moment to walk in though. [He bends over to start to clean up, since he's still on the clock.] What're you here for? Just picking some stuff up?

[wishingalone]

[She starts helping him pick up, then she looks up and smiles. She hesitates for a moment, but then:]

Ah, I came to see you. I need a few things, too, of course.

[But... mostly, she came to see him.]

[Kyouko isn't sure why she's responding, either.]

Didn't go. I see it all the time in my dreams.

I tried to forget those dreams, Sakura.

How could one of us ever manage to kill something like that?

[crimsonspearit]

I won't.

I'll do whatever I have to.

[wishingalone]

It didn't work. The gods themselves saw fit to remind me of its existence.

[And her dreams, and every time she thinks of her parents' faces, and every time she talks to Kyouko. The girl who is used to be her best friend.]

What if you aren't strong enough?

[punchesyu]

[Yosuke's face brightens, and smiles back.]

Well, my break in a few minutes. We could sit down and talk for a bit, and then I could help you find what you need!

[wishingalone]

Of course. I don't want to distract you from your work.

[She's putting more of the boxes back where they go.]

How long until your break? I can have a look around until then.

[punchesyu]

A couple of minutes. I could always force Teddie or Rincewind to take care of things for me. They still owe a lot of money...so they don't have a choice.

[That's a rant session all on its own.]

You want me to meet you over at the cafe?

[wishingalone]

[Rincewind? The magus with the... luggage? She wonders about that. Her eyebrow quirks, but Mami decides that she can ask him about that after he's actually on break.]

Certainly. I'll go get us a table and wait. Does that sound fine?

[punchesyu]

Yeah! I'll be right there, I just gotta pick the rest of this stuff up and put it on the shelves.

[At least what's left over of the mess. It should take the entire time for him to clean it, before he can head over to see her.]

See you in a couple of minutes! [He begins to hurry, to get as much of it done before he leaves to meet her.]

Of course. Then, I'll be there waiting for you.

[She smiles and tips her fingers to her brow. Mami stands up and tips her fingers to her brow, before she walks off to head towards the cafe.]

[When he gets there, she's reserved them a small table. She is sitting at it already. Her leather handbag is resting on the ground and she has a teacup in front of her, which she is taking a periodic sip from. She doesn't have a book on the table, but one is poking out of the bag. She was probably reading it earlier.]

[punchesyu]

[After a little longer than what he'd expected, he trots up to her, still wearing his Junes apron before sitting down in a heap across from her.]

Sorry that took so long...Teddie had an accident and I had to bail him out before my dad reamed him...

It was easier to focus on what I could affect. Its power must be tremendous.

[Mami's broadcast hadn't gone unseen, but as Yukiko herself had not even a clue how to begin Mega-Evolving? She didn't respond. It was a mystery for later, so she'd just gone about her normal routine. That meant going by the store to pick up groceries and supplies for training and traveling the coming weeks. Her little business ventures were going well, so she's splurging just a bit more than usual, which means that she's wandering from aisle to aisle with Ares, her Machoke, laden with bags and her newest Pokemon, a Sneasel, skulking along beside her with a bag of her own.

Of course, when she spots Mami seated at a table, she waves and wanders over.]

Hey! Mami, how's it going?

[wishingalone]

[Mami grimaces in sympathy.]

Oh, don't worry about it. This... Teddie sounds as if he has difficulties here.

[punchesyu]

...It's more like he can't keep his bear paws off of the Topsicles. That's what sorta got him into this mess.

[Teddie is impossible.]

Ah, Yukiko!

[She sits up at her table when the other girl calls out. Her book is folded shut and put in her bag. It was a novel that she'd been reading. She waves once at her, cheerfully.]

Quite well, thank you. I wanted to see the Union version of Junes for myself.
