I hope that everyone is recovering from the recent ordeal. It was worrisome, to say the very least. Nonetheless, it seems that some benefit may have been derived from it, at least.

Has anyone successfully done one of these new evolutions?

[Yeah... here's why she did text. She doesn't trust herself to not get emotional talking to Kyouko about this.]

I saw it in my memories. Inside of that cave that the others went inside of. Not the real thing.

[Mami promised that she would stop by Junes. She wants to go see it, besides; she could stand to buy a few things, especially a few things from home. But her friend boyfriend it's complicated really there's not a good word for him special cute buddy Yosuke works here. And that is more than enough reason to get her here.]

[You might find her browsing the aisles, looking over the various goods. Especially some of the clothing. Winter is coming, after all, and she means to be ready for it. But she's also looking for Yosuke, peering about all parts of the store.]

[And later, she's sitting down at a table in the cafe portion, sipping tea. Because of course she is!]

It is. It's very important. And it's important that we do it because we want to, or our hearts won't really be in it.

[This is a conversation she's had with Yosuke, really.]

So, that's why I've pushed back. And why I'm glad Yosuke has some too.

[She sips her tea again and smiles.] ...I think for us--Enlightened, or Windblessed, I mean--we especially have an obligation to help how we feel we best can.

Well, hah.

[Yukiko waves a hand, somewhat amused.]

I think we have more than an obligation to help. I'd call it fate. We were chosen for something.

Hmm. What do you think we were chosen by? The gods, or something more?

[She's not a follower of the Savior, after all.]

Destiny. And the gods, of course.

[The Savior is all well and good, but...]

Mm. I like that thought.

[She nods once.] It certainly feels right.

[frozenflame]

Even if it isn't right, there's nothing wrong with thinking that way. Not after what Suicune said about preparing us.

I agree. That the gods have shown such an interest... I don't know that I fully trust them. But it speaks to the gravity of what we're doing. That's destiny, or close enough.

You shouldn't worry too much, I think. Or trust them too much either. I mean...we don't know that much about them.

In any event.

[She finishes her tea.]

This is excellent.

[Mami nods. They need more information, and she can't make that happen now. And if Mami's good at anything... it's pushing aside her worry. She sips her tea, then she smiles.]

Mm. Yes! I must commend Junes on their fine selection.

Kinda makes you wonder if it'll overtake local markets soon, with this kind of selection.


[Smalltalk again, but still something to think about...]

It might, but... everyone enjoys their local products, too. I couldn't get by without tea and cookies from Citadel, after all.

Well, it's not like it bothers me too much. Just a thought.
