[The Seas were Sinbad’s natural environment – when they were behaving normally. However, due to recent events, they were rolling and bucking like mad, making the two passengers on the ship heading towards Union’s port deeply regret their decision to go seawards – He’s not sure about Morgiana, but he’s almost certain he’s going to be feeling it the next day.

After checking for the Umpteenth time that Morgiana hadn’t been thrown overboard by the last swell he sprang up as the docks go within jumping distance. He waves to anyone that might be out watching the seas as he turns back to the young woman]

Ah! Morgiana, We’re almost there! So that Warp Band you got is gonna work now?

[Sinbad clears his throat lightly before he starts speaking - he’ll really have to make this first impression count]

People of Union! We’ve come hearing that you are in trouble, and we’ve arrived to render assistance! I am Sinbad - Merchant and Adventurer and I believe some of you already know my companion Morgiana from her previous time here.

[He lets Morgiana take control of her warp band]

...Anyways! We travelled a long ways since we heard that someone was causing unnatural distortions in the region’s weather, and obviously we couldn’t let that happen. Now then - where can we go to see the King of this City -

[At the point Morgiana’s voice can be heard from off screen.]

Union doesn’t have a king. It’s a republic.

[Then Sinbad glances off screen, speaking quietly, but his voice can still be heard by those with good hearing]

It is? Really? Not many city-states are...

[She shifts the view around so it shows her face instead of Sinbad’s.]

It is as he says. I heard rumors that things were going wrong here, so I talked him into heading back north with me to see if we could help.

Sinbad is…mostly trustworthy, I’d say.

[He can be heard off-Camera]

My sincere apologies for my false assumption on how this city functions, but as I had said before, I am more than happy to help wherever I can, and I do have other business I would like to conduct once all is well.

[He kneels next to her, arms resting on his knees. The young man always had been curious about how the device work, but he never got a chance to see it in action until now]

So how long did they have such a thing in operation?

I...don't actually know. They had been around for a while by the time I arrived there, at least.

[Morgiana fiddled with the controls on the warp band, trying to get a good signal, but they were still pretty far out. All she was getting was static..]

It must really help with getting news around quickly when it is working. So you just press these buttons like so...?

[He peers closer, the Dratini wrapped around his chest popped it's head up, and lets out a small sigh as static appears]

Huh? Guess we're not close enough then?

No wait, I think...

[She fiddled with the dial and for a second the static gave way to the sound of voices, but then faded out again.]

Well. We're close. Give it a few minutes.

[Chie can't believe it at first, and spends a moment or two staring at the feed even before she hears the other woman's voice. But once her face comes into the screen, Chie's lights up with a big bright smile.]

[Morgiana tries to remember what happened when she left that might have left this in doubt.]

The rumors were very serious, but also very unclear. What is going on?

We're dealing with some rather unique individuals. Enhanced, they call them. Artificial Enlightened.

Artificial Enlightened... Hmm. And they had the ability to effect the seas in such a matter - That's amazing - and really terrifying.

It seemed like a good idea at the time as it'd get us here faster, and there wasn't a mention of the seas being affected.

[He shifts to adjust to another upcoming lurch in the boat - though he couldn't hide his grimace]

Have to say it's the closest I've ever been to getting seasick.

[A young woman with a Ranger's badge on her arm pops up on the feed, and she's pretty plainly up in the swamp, if the muck all around the background is any indication.]

Well, welcome back then, Miss. [plainly to Morgiana]. And welcome to Union then, Mister Mostly-Trustworthy. [Have a good natured smile there, Sinbad.]

And it's not like we'll turn away help. What're you guys willing to do? Because we can sure use it.

I'm willing to fight if that's what's needed, or head out and rescue or retrieve someone if they're in trouble. I'm afraid about the only thing I can't really do is any kind of medical work, as I have neither the training or the ability for it.

I...think the fighting is probably mostly going to be avoided if possible.

[She rolls a shoulder.]

But I for one say the Rangers would appreciate anyone who'd be willing to keep newer trainers out of the affected areas. Particularly the Swamp, since we're still investigating the affects of this mist.

I can do anything else that requires strength, as well, but my people are born for hunting and war.

Hope...fully we won't have to ask you to do that. I mean, don't take anything I say as like, official Ranger orders, but we are trying to pacify these guys peacefully. Honestly, like I told your buddy, it'd be good to have people patrolling, keeping people out of the affected areas.
