[Here's Nico at the Flower Grove again, though she isn't dancing and she doesn't look as bright and happy this time. She's obviously sort of worried, and not about to stay quiet on why.]

These things are so gross.

[She points the warp band around at the ground, where there's a large circle of mushrooms. Actually, it's apparent she's filming it from a safe distance away.]

Does anyone know what's up with them? It's not even like it's been that rainy here lately...

[The camera view turns back to her and she sighs looking around.]

Anyway, that's not what I turned this on to talk about though... so, you know how some pokemon can only evolve with the help of certain items? Like... moonstone or sunstone... does anyone know where you can find those? Or get them?

[Guess whose team almost entirely consists of pokemon that can't evolve naturally?]

[Hello. No, look down. Yes, down here at the adorable Jigglypuff. Isn't she the cutest? Oh, what's that? She wants you to have this present? Why don't you take it and ignore the snickering idol off around the corning spying on you.


...yeah, Nico taught her Jigglypuff Present and is trying to prank people with it.]

[ Maki's not at home, but even that's not enough to really surprise her to see a Pokemon suddenly at her feet which is not one of her own. She recognizes it right away, she knows all of Nico's Pokemon now. How could she not, seeing how prior to a short time ago they were always together, and Nico loved to introduce them to Maki. ]

Puri? What are you doing here? I haven't seen Nico in a while now...

[ Then she notices the present in her hands and starts to blush a little. ]

...D-Did she get me a late Salvation present? I should have given her that present I got her.. [ Yeah Nico, you can probably hear that, but good thing Maki doesn't know Nico is around!! ]

She'd been meaning to maybe make up with Maki... after all, it wasn't like it was really the redhead's fault when she thought about it... and well, if... if she really did like Maki, avoiding her all the time wasn't going to help her case any! But this...

[Completely unaware of her master's turmoil - or even her ill-intent - Puri just goes ahead to hand Maki the present like instructed]

W, waaaaaaaaaaaait!

[Yeah, no, she's coming running out of hiding to try to stop her - but is she in time?]

[ Part of Maki is...really happy to see that finally she might be able to figure out a way to fix things between her and Nico, despite everything else. Even though she already has a plan to do so, she's happy to see that Nico isn't being weird about things anymore.

Except until she holds the present in her hands, looking at it intently. But she's not the type of girl with zero patience, she imagines she should wait until she gets home, that's the best place to open a heartfelt gift right?

That's when she hears a tiny black ball suddenly careening for her. ]

[Oh good she stopped. Nico can actually catch her breath and try not to have a heart attack as she stops in front of her]

[ Maki really doesn't understand why, and so she pulls the present to her side, out of reach from the shorty. ]

I-If you want me to give you your Salvation Present so badly you could have just asked, or come over! It's been sitting in my room for almost a month now! [ She thinks that Nico won't let her have it until she trades presents. ]

[Nico almost spazzes out again when Maki moves it so suddenly.]

What are you- [Oh right, Maki had been saying something about that before she picked up the box. And here Nico... didn't have one for her. Now she felt terrible for more reasons. Which was especially why she couldn't let this happen!]

I, I don't need it, so just give that one back!

[ She got Nico a very thoughtful present, something that tried to explain her feelings without words, but she didn't have the courage to give it to Nico, not when they were avoiding each other. ]

What do you mean you don't need it?! That's not how Salvation presents work!

[ Pulling that box away more, you're not taking it back!! ]

[Nico at least manages to grab the box, so now they're stupidly playing tug-o-war with a small bomb]

I, I said I don't need it so you don't have to give me one and I don't have to give you this one! So just... let go!

[ This is the stupidest fight ever in her mind, but Maki won't give it up! ]

You can't just give someone a present and then take it back! Just let me have this and I'll go get your's from my room!

[She tugs harder - it's either going to pop right out of her hands or fly up into her face depending on whose grip gives first]

Then why did Puri give it to me?!

[ Savior knows what Nico's Pokemon are doing right now watching these two mature adults fight over a simple package. Maki is strong, but she's got delicate piano playing fingers, so eventually, they just give out and she loses her grip on the box. ]

[Mostly just. Staring blankly at these shenanigans, as only a jigglypuff can.]

Well, that's because...!

[And when it slips from Maki's hands, the box comes right back in Nico's face. The lid flies off and there's a loud bang as it explodes, covering Nico in soot and mildly concussing her, at least enough to make her fall flat on her butt]

[ How could Maki ever expect something like that. She really only thought Nico was being...Nico, refusing to let her have that present because Maki hadn't given her one first. and it had made her plenty annoyed. Then it explodes, and Maki's face turns into the most pained Nico has ever seen it. ]

NICO!

[ She screams the girl's name when that box explodes, her heart stopping completely. Her voice cracks, so unlike Maki, letting out all those feelings she has for the other girl in one word of horrible shock. ]

[Luckily, Puri is so weak that the damage from her presents is pretty minimal - otherwise Nico wouldn't do this as a prank. Having it happen to her though... she's really reconsidering it now.]

Oww...

[It takes her a moment to remember her surroundings and realize Maki's screaming in front of her, though she's not entirely sure why]

Q, quiet... Th, that's why I told you...

[ Weak or not, Maki's face clearly shows how worried she is, already on her knees in front of Nico, a few tears in her eyes. ]

W-What was that? Are you hurt?!

[ She's pulling out a handkerchief, touching it a little insistently against Nico's face, trying to help her, despite having no idea how she can. ]

[Cough cough. Mostly fine, anyway.]

[How does she admit she almost bombed Maki because she's a little shit who thought it would be funny to bomb random people like this?]

[ Yep, you get doting mother Maki, because she's really worried. She doesn't even think about how crazy it was that she almost just opened an exploding present herself, just that Nico could be hurt. She'll be mad soon enough. ]

[ She's dabbing at Nico's face, probably a little too close for comfort, given everything happening between them, but she's showing real concern too. ]

[ She dabs the handkerchief again, seeing the little bit of blood from a small cut she can see better now, turning a little angry. ]

What were you thinking?! What was that?! You could have been really injured... How do you think I'd feel?! [ She's not even realizing that Maki was the one who could have been hurt! ]
