Nico Nico Nana [Video/Action]

[Here's Nico at the Flower Grove again, though she isn't dancing and she doesn't look as bright and happy this time. She's obviously sort of worried, and not about to stay quiet on why.]

These things are so gross.

[She points the warp band around at the ground, where there's a large circle of mushrooms. Actually, it's apparent she's filming it from a safe distance away.]

Does anyone know what's up with them? It's not even like it's been that rainy here lately...

[The camera view turns back to her and she sighs looking around.]

Anyway, that's not what I turned this on to talk about though... so, you know how some pokemon can only evolve with the help of certain items? Like... moonstone or sunstone... does anyone know where you can find those? Or get them?

[Guess whose team almost entirely consists of pokemon that can't evolve naturally?]

[Action]

[Hello. No, look down. Yes, down here at the adorable Jigglypuff. Isn't she the cutest? Oh, what's that? She wants you to have this present? Why don't you take it and ignore the snickering idol off around the corning spying on you.

...yeah, Nico taught her Jigglypuff Present and is trying to prank people with it.]

[ Ignoring the talk about her parents.. ]

Why was it supposed to blow up at all?! [ Maki's not giving up on Nico though, holding her hand to the cut on her face, her ears on top of her head making it all too clear how worried she is. ]

Um, uh, well, it's, uh... it's that kind... of move... that I taught Puri.

[...she's in trouble, isn't she?]

...So Puri messed up her move and made it explode?

[ Maki can't believe that Nico was going around playing tricks on people on purpose!! ]

Umm, well, not... exactly...

[SHE CAN'T LIE TO THAT FACE... not when Maki was about to cry...]

[ But Nico didn't want it to explode, that much was clear. Only she couldn't figure out why she had an exploding box in the first place! It didn't make sense.

Eventually she just looks Nico in the eye, almost getting lost for a moment. Until she decides to just hug the other girl, without even thinking.

She doesn't say anything, she just hugs Nico. Because she doesn't know what to say that wouldn't give it away that she knows Nico's secret. ]

Eh?

[That... was not the reaction she was expecting. Her heart almost leaps out of her throat as she's suddenly hugged and she has no idea what to do.]

....ehhhhhh!?

[ Such a romantic. But Maki holds on just a little longer, no death grip or anything, just a simple hug with her arms under Nico's. Never mind the closeness of Maki's chest making Nico's seem so small.

And then she pulls back, looking away from Nico with reddened face. ] W-Well, you should go to see my parents, even if you're not really that injured. ...And I'm glad you're okay, alright?!

[If anything, now Nico feels dizzy and dazed... her face is red and it takes a moment for her to find her voice]

Y, yeah... um, maybe I will... then...

[ Her hand goes to her hair to twirl, eventually getting up to her feet on her own, and extending her hand to Nico. ]

C-Come on, it's not that far to the hospital. [ Without even asking she's using her warp band to call her Skiddo, who shows up with a few excited jumps, before going to Nico and licking her. ]

[Nico is confused enough that she just accepts the help up without protest, teetering a bit as she stands. She doesn't come out of her daze until Maki's pokemon comes up and licks her like that]

H, hey! Hey, that tickles... wait, are we riding him?

You are riding him.

[ Maki's being pretty adamant, and so is Skiddo, who is bumping Nico now, trying to convince her to get one. The thought of riding in front of Nico, so that the other girl has to hold onto her is...slightly appealing, but she thinks it would be easier to control Skiddo is she were to walk alongside him. ]

Now get on.

Ow, ow, fine! Stop bumping me!

[She gently swats at Skiddo's nubby horns so he'll stop and she can gingerly get on... though she's pretty cautious, considering what he was like last time they met.]

...has he calmed down any?

[ Skiddo doesn't stop until she gets on, it's just how he is. But when she does finally sit he manages to stay calm and not run, as if trying to show Nico just how good he is! ]

Taking him for runs outside the city made him a little easier to handle now, as long as I don't forget to take him. Right Skiddo?

Skiddo! [ The goat Pokemon seems to agree. ]

O, okay... I can probably walk though you know...

[Somehow, having Maki lead her around on her tiny goat is the most embarrassing thing that's happened all day]

Not until you get to the hospital.

[ She isn't taking no for an answer. Luckily it's not a far walk, even as Maki sticks close to Nico's side...but unable to know what else to talk about. She does take the moment to lift up Puri into her arms, holding the Jigglypuff close to her chest with them. ]

[Puri appreciates the attention and giggles happily, apparently not at all aware of there being anything wrong.

Nico, however, is just... awkward. It's actually not a hard ride so she just ends up... swinging her legs idly as they trot along, not sure what to say. Especially when she thinks back to what happened and Maki's face... or what she did then...]

[ It's strange to Maki, that she's getting along so well with Nico's Pokemon, not even her own. When a short time ago she could barely be around Pokemon, and now she is holding one closely. Even a short time ago she wouldn't be able to get along with Nico for even a few minutes. How things had changed. And then there was that whole confession, one that Maki couldn't reciprocate yet.

Just once as they walked Maki's hand brushed against Nico's, almost like she could have just taken the other girl's hand into her own, but she quickly pulled it back. She couldn't. Not yet.

Soon enough they are at the hospital, with Maki going straight up to the receptionist, explaining she wants to see her mother, that a friend needed medical treatment. Without needing to sign anything, Maki and Nico are lead into an examination room, where Maki thanks Skiddo and sends him back to the habitat. ]

I'll just...wait outside okay? You probably don't want me in here.. [ It sort of comes out of nowhere, considering how little they've spoken since they came to the hospital. ]

[Nico didn't even notice their hands brushing, at least not until Maki pulled back like that. It made her feel unwanted, then ridiculous for assigning that kind of significance to clearly just a random, accidental motion.

She's eager to get off Skiddo as soon as they get there and manages not to sway as she gets to her feet and follows Maki in. It's just so big and clean... she ends up snapping out of her staring when Maki speaks]

What? Wait, you can't just leave me here! [She already feels stupid coming here for what she considers minor injuries from a stupid prank]

Huh? Do you really want me to stay? [ Even though Maki knows that Nico likes her now, she hadn't expected that she would want her to be here for this. What if she had to ask the doctor something...embarrassing? Nevermind that it would be Maki's mother that see's Nico, Maki still is flustered. But she can't say not, not to Nico, so she sinks down into a chair in the corner of the room, crossing her legs politely. ]

Haven't you ever been to see a doctor before?

[SHE'S NOT MEETING HER MOM BY HERSELF FOR THE FIRST TIME

Yes, she completely forgot this is about possible head trauma]

Uh, when I was younger?

[Maki that's not the point]

[ Somehow Maki doesn't even begin to think why it would be hard for Nico to meet her mom. She's just a doctor to her. ]

Just tell her what happened, that something exploded in your face, and you have a few cuts.

[ She shrugs a little, looking away from Nico. ] My mom already knows who you are after all.

Geez, I still think you're overreacting.

[When she puts it all like that... WAIT WHAT WAS THAT LAST PART]

She does!?

Well I'm sorry for being worried about you!

[ She's not actually sorry, which is clear by her tsun crossing of arms. ]

Of course she does. You used to come over every day, so she wanted to know who you are. [ "Used to" being the key phrase here. ]

I, uh, well...

[Well, when she says it like that, it seems obvious. It's more surprising she hasn't met her before in that case.]

Wh, what did you tell her?

What do you think I told her?

[ She gives Nico a strange look before continuing. ]

Just that you like singing as much as me, and our Pokemon get along well. I didn't tell her anything bad. [ Maki's not sure why she adds in that last bit, but she does anyway. ]
