Sleepover at Maki's! μ's Is Finally Formed!

Where: Maki's House!
Summary: After getting the idea to have a get together at Maki's due to a fib that was told to her by a certain red haired girl who scares her, everyone's been invited over to spend the day at Maki's. And then spend the night doing all sorts of fun stuff.

After semi-careful planning with Maki, which honestly wasn't so careful if Maki hadn't been the one to keep Honoka's ideas in line, arrangements were made at the Nishikino household to keep nine girls entertained. With the knowledge now of knowing that a performance was headed their way, some practice was in need for the girls. Umi would see to that, no matter how much some of them might protest that they would rather be doing something a little more fun. But, the girls worked hard.

Their reward would come later in the day, when they could stuff themselves with as much custom made homecooked pizza as they wanted. In addition to all the other activities planned for the night. A sappy romance movie, an impromptu pokémon contest (who's is the cutest, the best performer, the strongest?), an epic game of hide and seek, choosing where to sleep, and once that was finished? The pillow fight afterward would become a fluffy struggle to survive.

Honoka made sure to invite everyone, whether she personally asked them herself or had someone else extend the invite for her.

But...what would they be named?

Pizza:

[ In the kitchen there are bowls of neatly chopped ingredients of just about every sort, with already spread out pizza dough by the Nishikino family cook. But other than the food on the giant kitchen counters, and the ovens already preheated, it's up to the girls to do everything else.

Maki however, has never really cooked, and doesn't quite know what to do. She knows that pizza needs sauce and cheese, but what else to put on, she's not sure. So mostly she's going to be looking to work with someone else to make something to eat. ]

Hide and Seek:

Y-You can't play hide and seek in the house!

[ Yes, this is Maki's stance on this, even if no one else is listening to her. She never played such a game in her life after all, not as a child and definitely not as a teenager thinking she's ten years more mature than she really is. So just expect her not to really play along and be a grump about it. Definitely don't try to hide in her room or she will be furious. ]

Sleeping:

[ Maki has never played hide and seek, nor has she had a sleepover with anyone, especially not this many girls at once. And the only time she's ever slept in the living room was after falling asleep at the piano. Luckily all the pillows and futons are out, and there's not much else to do other than roll them out wherever they want to sleep. ]

I'll just sleep where ever, it doesn't really matter.

[ She is already twirling her hair, shrugging. It's not like she would want to sleep next to anyone after all. ]

Hide and Seek

[Nico wholeheartedly agrees, but far be it for her to be caught agreeing with Maki in front of all these people.]

What, this place is huge! It's practically made for it.

[ Maki expected more maturity out of you, Nico! Why, she has no idea, because this actually seems just like her. ]

Just because it's a big house doesn't mean it's a playground!

[ As usual, Maki is acting like an adult, because she thinks she is supposed to. She's never even played games in her house at all. ]

You really think you're gonna be able to stop all of them?

[She rolls her eyes at the other girls. SO YOUNG, SO SILLY. Like Maki.]

Maybe if there were more mature they wouldn't just play around all night...

[ Maki's...never had friends over before apparently. ]

Geez, how old are you again? 30?

[cutiepanther]

You know full well I'm two years younger than you are.

[ Or maybe she doesn't, but Maki thinks they talked about this anyway. ]

Pizza

[Unsure on how to prepare a pizza? fear not, fair maiden, for a gallant trainer clad in frilly clothes has come to your rescue.]

W-wow! Is that Matsutake mushrooms?

[She approaches almost in awe, are they not absurdly expensive? i-is it fine to put them on pizza?]

[ Maki just looks down at her pizza, then back up to Kotori, and her POkemon she just had to bring with her. But she won't mention that again for now.. ]

Huh? Yeah, we eat them all the time, I thought they would go well on the pizza.

[ She's not quite sure why Kotori asks. ]

[And this is the moment when Kotori finally understood that Maki is rich. Not that it makes any difference to her though which makes it a pretty pointless epiphany.]

Aren't they a bit fancy for pizza?

You think so?

[ Maki had no idea, they are just mushrooms to her, nothing particularly special about them, though they have a good flavor. ]

I thought they might taste good.

They could but normally one uses simpler ones like Crimini for pizza, it feels like a waste otherwise... ah, I'm not saying that you can't though, sautéd Matsutake must be quite delicious!

[As Maki may gather from her words Kotori actually knows her way around a kitchen unlike, well, almost everyone else in their group.]

Why not just use both then, one type on each half, to see which is better?

[ Maki is STILL not getting that the problem is because of a cost issue. ]

Hide and Seek

Hurry or you'll be it, Maki!

[There's no way Hanayo wasn't getting dragged into this by Rin.]

W-Wait a minute, I didn't agree to play at all, why would I have to be it!

[ Somehow she's already following Hanayo, instead of just standing around arguing, knowing that she can't actually opt out now that everyone's running to hide. ]

You can't watch where I'm hiding, Maki.

[cutiepanther]

I'm not trying to watch you!! I'm trying to stop this silly game from being played!

[ricericebaby]

I think it's too late for that. You should go back and start counting.

[cutiepanther]

Alright..

[ Maki thinks she's done something wrong so she turns her back to Hanayo for only a moment, before whipping back around again. ]

Wait a minute, I just said I'm not playing!!

Sleeping; a bit later

[Being a dark type, night time is an interesting beast. Her body naturally feels like it should be awake, and, coupled with the unfamiliar surroundings, it would seem that someone can't sleep. She's being fairly good about it, and quietly excuses herself while trying not to wake anyone up. She'll pass by Maki, stopping by one of the windows and looking out.

This was nice. This was really nice.]

[ Maybe it's because of all the others around sleeping that makes it so difficult for Maki, or maybe it's just the feeling of actually having a real group of friends for the first time in her life that has her excited. But either way she can't sleep, and when she sees Nozomi walking to the window away from the other girls, she eventually gets up to follow, dressed in her pajamas. She's certain that even despite being a cat, Nozomi can hear her approaching. ]

What are you doing awake, Nozomi?

[future_sight]

[Whether she does or not is hard to tell. Nozomi quietly turns.]

Makki.

No reason, really. What about you?

N-No reason either!

[ Maki squeaks just a little in her quickness to respond, trying to cover up any obvious strange feelings inside of her that are too embarrassing to talk about. She's so happy that she's found friends, ones that are interested in music and dance, ones that wanted to see her and spend time at her house, while including her too. Her life has never been anything like this before. ]

Nico's leg kept kicking me in her sleep. So I decided to get up. [ Not really the truth.. ]

It's really nice to have friends around like this, isn't it?

[It was hard to say if she was speaking to Maki or being introspective at this point.]

I guess it could be worse..

[ It's impossible to just say that she's happy meeting all these girls with a similar goal in mind of singing together. Even if Nozomi isn't exactly speaking to her, she answers anyway, because that's the kind of girl she is. ]

It's not like you haven't had a lot of friends, right?
