A Musical Practice

Who: The Love Live! Girls, anyone who lives at Hikawa Shrine, and anyone leaving and entering the shrine! And stalkers. There are stalkers.
What: Practice for performing on stage! Their first practice ever.
When: Sometime in the afternoon, after school is over.
Where: Hikawa Shrine, Union.
Summary: Honoka has finally managed to amass a group of people to get together as a little musical group to perform. They are going to try to practice together for the first time, and that could go any number of ways.

"Hello everyone!" She shouts once all the girls who she expected to come to practice arrive. "I wasn't sure where we could practice, but I'm so glad Rei let us come here and use the courtyard! So!"

She stands, feet at shoulder width, in front of the girls, looking determined as ever.

"We'll do some singing first! And after a little break, we'll try dancing! Someone will need to clap for us to keep time, but we can alternate who does that so everyone gets to practice dancing. And then! We can get something to eat when we're done! If there's someone you don't know, get to know them a little bit before we begin our practice!"

"Okay! Let's start!"

[ It's...strange how much Maki sees certain leadership qualities in Honoka. The girl had seemed like such a ditz before, but when she's in front of the group, turning on the music, she looks like she's radiating some kind of positive energy to everyone else, making them all work hard, despite barely knowing each other. And Maki's among them, working to keep up with the music, belting out the lyrics as she does (forgetting to smile) but still enjoying herself immensely. ]

[When the song ends, she smiles back at everyone.]

Okay! Let's take a break, I'm exhausted! [Dismissing everyone to go off as they please, she approaches Maki before the girl can get too far.]

That was really good. You know, Maki...you can have that spot!

[cutiepanther]

H-Have it? I don't know what you mean.

[ Maki is sweaty and a little tired, but absolutely knows what Honoka means, twirling her hair. ]

[honokairo]

Well, we needed someone to dance there, and you fill the spot perfectly. And you looked like you were having fun, so why don't you take it permanently?

[A soft smile from Honoka. You want to Maki, you want to...]

[cutiepanther]

[ TWIRLING INTENSIFIES. ]

A-Are you asking me to join your group?

[ She definitely does want to, hell, she already knows she has to say yes eventually thanks to her fortune, but she can't do it unless she feels Honoka asks her correctly. ]

[honokairo]

That's exactly what I'm asking you. We'd love to have you perform with us. What do you say, Maki?

[EXTENDS A HAND OUTWARD for Maki to take, just say yes and they'll have fun she promises!]

[cutiepanther]

I...

[ She remembers the future she saw with Honoka, of singing and dancing for a crowd, and how she had smiled in that future. So as strange as it is, and as much as a big part of her still doesn't know if this is the right choice....she reaches out and touches the other girl's hand. ]

I-I'll join you.

[honokairo]

[Maki will receive a big smile back, and Honoka squeezes her hand.]

I think everyone's ready to start again. We're going to go through the song a few more times, so let's do our best!

[cutiepanther]

[ It's so strange, being pulled in like this to something that Maki had no interest in at first. But now she's looking forward to being a part of something with other people. ]
