A Musical Practice

Who: The Love Live! Girls, anyone who lives at Hikawa Shrine, and anyone leaving and entering the shrine! And stalkers. There are stalkers.
What: Practice for performing on stage! Their first practice ever.
When: Sometime in the afternoon, after school is over.
Where: Hikawa Shrine, Union.
Summary: Honoka has finally managed to amass a group of people to get together as a little musical group to perform. They are going to try to practice together for the first time, and that could go any number of ways.

"Hello everyone!" She shouts once all the girls who she expected to come to practice arrive. "I wasn't sure where we could practice, but I'm so glad Rei let us come here and use the courtyard! So!"

She stands, feet at shoulder width, in front of the girls, looking determined as ever.

"We'll do some singing first! And after a little break, we'll try dancing! Someone will need to clap for us to keep time, but we can alternate who does that so everyone gets to practice dancing. And then! We can get something to eat when we're done! If there's someone you don't know, get to know them a little bit before we begin our practice!"

"Okay! Let's start!"

Hmmmm... [She thinks for a second. Gotta be a way, gotta be a way...oh! She grabs her sneaker, taking the shoelace out of it.]

But won't your shoe come loose while you're dancing now?

I'll be fine! I'll dance without shoes if I have to!

[ricericebaby]

Won't you hurt your feet?

[honokairo]

[She shakes her head.]

Rei takes really good care of the shrine, I think I'll be okay! It won't hurt that much anyway.

[ricericebaby]

Dancing barefoot would be better for a beachside concert, though, don't you think?

[honokairo]

I'll get another shoelace for a real concert! But that's a great idea Hanayo, we could have these cute outfits that don't need shoes and dance in the sand...

[Oh no another idea]

S-shouldn't we practice more first? I can't even dance on solid ground yet!

[To say nothing of the idea of dancing in front of people in a swimsuit.]

It'll be too cold to dance at the beach now, but wait until summer comes!

[THEY ARE TOTALLY DOING IT]

I... guess that will give me time to go on a diet, anyway.

[She's already gotten the third degree over how much rice she eats at least twice today.]

A diet? But you're so skinny!

[She doesn't know about the rice yet oh boy]

B-but Maki and that other guy said I eat too much rice...

[honokairo]

Hanayo! [OH MY GOD SHE LOVES RICE]

Rice is so good! You can't eat too much rice!

[ricericebaby]

You think so too?

[honokairo]

Yes! We should go out and get some after practice!

[Diet what diet]

Really?

[Hanayo's face lights right up.]

There's a really good place by my house!

[honokairo]

Can we go, Hanayo? I'm already really hungry from all the practicing!

[Her stomach even growls.]

[ricericebaby]

W-well, we should really...

[Apparently Hanayo's stomach heard Honoka's and wants to be friends, because it's speaking up too.]

Um...

[That was awkward.]

I-I think maybe we've practiced enough for today.

[honokairo]

Yeah.... [Looks around sneakily. Gotta make sure Umi doesn't see her.]

Let's sneak out the back!

[ricericebaby]

Right!

[Hanayo's voice is a loud whisper as she leans in conspiratorially, hunching down and starting to tiptoe away with Honoka.]

Let's go, while she's still dancing...

[honokairo]

[She nods, and they sneak together. Sneak, sneak, sneak. Right out the front of the shrine. And when she feels they can make a run for it, SHE DOES.]

Hanayo, quick, so no one sees us! [RUN RUN RUN]

Let's go!

[And she makes a mad dash for it! Nevermind how loud they're both being.]
