bravenewworld | A Musical Practice

Who: The Love Live! Girls, anyone who lives at Hikawa Shrine, and anyone leaving and entering the shrine! And stalkers. There are stalkers.
What: Practice for performing on stage! Their first practice ever.
When: Sometime in the afternoon, after school is over.
Where: Hikawa Shrine, Union.
Summary: Honoka has finally managed to amass a group of people to get together as a little musical group to perform. They are going to try to practice together for the first time, and that could go any number of ways.

"Hello everyone!" She shouts once all the girls who she expected to come to practice arrive. "I wasn't sure where we could practice, but I'm so glad Rei let us come here and use the courtyard! So!"

She stands, feet at shoulder width, in front of the girls, looking determined as ever.

"We'll do some singing first! And after a little break, we'll try dancing! Someone will need to clap for us to keep time, but we can alternate who does that so everyone gets to practice dancing. And then! We can get something to eat when we're done! If there's someone you don't know, get to know them a little bit before we begin our practice!"

"Okay! Let's start!"

Advertisement? [Oh man, she never thought of that.]

You mean handing out flyers and asking people to come to our shows?

[He gives her a sort of hopeless expression, shrugging one shoulder.]

[Though becoming famous has its perks, and pretty hotels sound kind of neat.]

That's why you're the our advertiser! You figure out lots of creative ways to get our name out there! And then we put your name on the bottom of all the posters, programs, so everyone knows who's really behind the scenes!

[She's surprised by that reaction. Why...why would anyone NOT want to sing and dance?]

[He's so ruffled and puffed it's ridiculous. He is literally the angry bluebird right now. Only in Shiny Fletchinder colors. He doesn't quite respond at first, just making a strain of unintelligible noises.]

I-- there's nothing wrong with it, it's not bad, I just don't want to.

I bet you would be good at it though. [She's of the opinion that if you set your mind to it, you can do anything.]

[That stumps him. If he refuses, she may think he can't sing, and he can't have someone thinking he isn't good at something he obviously is good at. But if he agrees, he's agreeing with someone. Which is something that friends and nice people do. What a mess of a situation.]

[In the end, he scoffs and looks off to the side.]

Get yourselves a name and I'll sing for you. [This plan is going to blow up in your face so badly, Ankh.]

[Oh she will get a name so fast for them she wants to hear him sing so bad she bets it's so pretty and amazing and Ankh you're in trouble now]

Okay! When we get a name, you'll promise to sing for me?!

[Yep, there it goes. Blowing up in his face already. He makes a face, because he didn't expect her to get that excited, and kind of works his mouth for a second without making any sound.]

[But... Even Ankh is a bird of his word, so he huffs a sigh and squares his shoulders.]

So long as it's not a dumb name you threw together just to hear me sing, sure.

We'll come up with the perfect name! [She planned on that already. Your fate is sealed, bird. You will join their other bird. One day.]

You'll see! I'll even call you and tell what it is the minute we pick it!

[He has to hand it to her, she's certainly tenacious. Chuffing a breathy little half-laugh, he shakes his head.]

It had better be good, then.

[Dammit did he just unintentionally make another friend. He needs to stop doing this.]

I promise it will be! [It'll be so awesome that Ankh will definitely want to join she thinks SO AWESOME]

[She spies another person, who'd been around watching them, and they look a little lost...]

I'm going to go now though! I'll talk to you soon!
