[He'd heard they had video on the Warp Bands but his old one hadn't had that feature. Maybe it's a good thing this one does.

Martin is in a room in the medical center when he starts it. Which is the problem. He died. He's not supposed to be back in the medical center two months later decidedly not dead and an Enlightened!

But he's back and now he has to adjust to these sharp little claw-nail-things on his fingers on top of everything else. What is his life?

Before Martin gets a chance to say anything, a Budew grabs the band and starts poking at it.]

No, Laterose, not right now.

[The Budew goes out of sight and Martin focuses it back on him with a sigh]

Um. I...I'm not quite sure what to say right now. I'm back? Is that what you say when you die and wake up two months later in the Forest? Is this normal for Enlightened?

[He clearly has more questions but cuts himself off]

Anyway. Could someone catch me up on the last two months?

[Martin hesitates. He's almost certain he did last night but he's not sure]

Not last I checked.

That's too bad. It coulda really came in handy! [Goku could of used it. To get away from his wife.]

But I guess that works for now. Maybe you'll be able to once you evolve-!

Maybe. I think Boar is hoping I won't, though. He can't, after all.

[garbagedisposal]

[He laughs a little at that.]

Is that so? I bet he can do a bunch of stuff no one else can do, though.

[He is purposely saying this loud enough for Boar to hear.]

[warriormouse]

[There's some noise off screen and Martin laughs]

He says he knows flattery when he hears it--and thank you.

Yeah, I know. I heard him.

[He grins. The noise was barely audible enough that Goku could make out what Boar was saying, but he could.]

And no problem.

[warriormouse]

He's a bit of a brat sometimes.

[Martin manages to barely hide his smirk as Boar's ribbon slides into frame and he mimics strangling Martin]

I'm Martin, by the way.

[garbagedisposal]

I'm Goku, it's nice to meet you. [Fortunately Martin is alive now for Goku to meet him.]

Careful, or Boar there just might send you back to the afterlife! [He KNOWS Boar won't but it's still funny. What a tsundere pokemon.]

He missed me too much.

[Boar nods. He did.]

[That earns a soft smile from Goku.]

It's good to see the two of you reunited. It's...always hard when someone leaves like that. I think everyone deserves a second chance, and, well, I'm glad you got it.

[warriormouse]

So am I.

[He sighs a little]

I just wish I know why. And how.

[garbagedisposal]

You got me on that one. It certainly is pretty strange. [His hand goes up behind his head.]

I heard there's a whole bunch of historians in Caldera. Maybe they have some information that might help you figure it out. Maybe if this has happened before.

I hadn't thought about that. I'm not in any condition to go anywhere right now, but that might be a good place to visit.

[He gets the feeling that he won't find anything except "Enlightened play by different rules" though]

[Martin is probably right, but Goku could barely tell the difference between a history book and a picture book so it totally sounds legit to him. Isn't that what bookworms do anyway?]

Well, if you ever wanna go, just let me know. I've been meaning to visit to try out all their food, and Charizard could definitely fly the both of us there.
