[He'd heard they had video on the Warp Bands but his old one hadn't had that feature. Maybe it's a good thing this one does.

Martin is in a room in the medical center when he starts it. Which is the problem. He died. He's not supposed to be back in the medical center two months later decidedly not dead and an Enlightened!

But he's back and now he has to adjust to these sharp little claw-nail-things on his fingers on top of everything else. What is his life?

Before Martin gets a chance to say anything, a Budew grabs the band and starts poking at it.]

No, Laterose, not right now.

[The Budew goes out of sight and Martin focuses it back on him with a sigh]

Um. I...I'm not quite sure what to say right now. I'm back? Is that what you say when you die and wake up two months later in the Forest? Is this normal for Enlightened?

[He clearly has more questions but cuts himself off]

Anyway. Could someone catch me up on the last two months?

[nOPE. NOPE NOPE NOPE HE WENT TO YOUR FUNERAL PEOPLE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO JUST WAKE BACK UP LIKE THAT.]

[Eiji almost shuts the feed off. He didn't like the idea that maybe he was losing his mind. After the dreamworld fiasco sometimes he had a hard time figuring whats real anymore.]

[He doesn't shut it off, though. After a moment, he speaks.]

[No kidding. He's...well. He's not sure what to think so he'll roll with it for now.]

Well, I'm alive and everything seems to be more or less how it was before I...fell asleep. Except for these.

[He holds up his hand to show off the new tiny claw-nails]

And I uh. Glow in the dark.

[He takes a moment to digest that.]

No one is ever quite sure what will happen once you awaken. [granted, glowing in the dark is definitely new.]

Though, dying first is not something I've heard of before. Are you a ghost type? That would make sense.

[There's a noise from off-screen]

So does Boar. [His Honedge] It's the only thing that makes sense, anyway. I'm not Electric, anyway, and that's the only other type I can think of that would glow in the dark.

[This...is not what Yuuna expected when she got in to the medical center this morning. She is by no means someone easily startled, but when you hear a broadcast from someone who was definitely dead? Someone you went to the funeral for? That is enough to crack even the calmest person's composure a little bit.]

Earth and Stars! Martin?!

[There's motion in the background, and a Politoed's face appears next to the woman's. The Pokemon has an uncharacteristic look of concern on his usually happy face. He vaguely remembers you, Martin. From some demonstration or another.]

Is that...really you?

... Not so sure about normal, but it wouldn't surprise me terribly.

[ Absent curious staring back over the warp band. Duke doesn't think he looks terribly dead, but then again, he doesn't spend much time around dead people. ]

It's the end of Soulfast. In the middle, dreams became something one could walk into, asleep or not, and there was a quarrel that resulted in the Dream World being a place one can train once in a while. Its in the warpband... [ Married couple fighting. Its weird. ]

... And a great deal of people woke up appearing to be someone else, psychically and in terms of enlightened ability.

[Rei had caught Eiji's response, and that meant at there was some connection she'd have to go digging for later. For now, though...address the question. A young priestess appears on the feed, dressed formally, seated with a Murkrow on her shoulder, both of them studying the camera intently.]

I'd say that 'I'm back' is more than appropriate. And I don't think it's entirely unheard of, though I suppose the question should be asked, were you truly dead?

After everything that's happened, I shouldn't be surprised. But I am, so what the hell?

[He nods.]

...I might know a few places you could visit to learn more, if that's the case. You've heard of the Kurain school, yes?

[He nods]

It's really me. I'm not sure I believe it, but it's really me.

Vaguely. They're the family with a high divorce rate, right?

[Martin blinks]

Maybe it's a good thing I was...busy. That all sounds a bit exhausting.

[He nods and Boar pops into the feed to nod as best a Honedge can.]

I remember lying there, bleeding out and dying. Boar remembers my funeral. I have a death certificate.

[Martin is just as confused, Peter]

I honestly have no idea. I'm not dead anymore.

I...what...

[She hoists the Politoed up into her arms and they just stare for a long moment. Honestly, what do you even say to this? Dead guy comes back, so what do?]

I don't really understand it, but where's your room? I'm not sure I'll believe it till I see you in person.

As far away from everyone else as they could make it. I didn't want to startle anyone I know who might be here as a patient.

[Rei smiles faintly, unconsciously running a hand along the Murkrow's back.]

Tell me, do you feel like you have something that you have to do? A mission, or anything that might bar your passage?

No. If that were the case, wouldn't I have woken up two months ago shortly after I died? And wouldn't I have woken up unEnlightened? I wasn't one before dying.

Alright, give me a bit then.

[There's some sounds, talking and questioning, and then the sounds of footsteps. Hurried footsteps at that, before the Warp Band closes out. A minute later, Martin will hear a knock.]
