Plot Description: Investigating the giant hole in the ground in the middle of the deep Wild Woods.
Warnings/Notes: N/A

[Coming to the designated spot in the Wild Woods, the group came across a group of dilapidated stone structures, save for one. Surrounded in a bit of rubble was a stone structure, lighter in color than the rest of the structures, looking relatively new and quickly assembled.]

Look, I like exploding things as much as the next guy, but lemme try something else first

[Peter walks up to the structure, uses Strength, and starts pushing with all his might.]

Yeah, let's not throw dynamite at it first thing. It'd be cool, don't get me wrong, but...

[She looks at Peter.]

Take it away, Pete!

Can we not just blow the thing up for once, please?

[Despite its size, the structure isn't actually as sturdy as it originally seems, and using Strength budges it. Peter will want to be careful, however, for while it is moving slowly, it does give way to a rather sizable hole.

It's dark, save for a few faint flickerings of light. If there is a bottom to this hole, it isn't immediately evident, and there is a slight, damp draft coming from below.]

[Lux smiles brightly at Peter, then turns toward Ezreal, giving him something of a smug grin that says that she both told you so, and that you should put his toys away before she takes them.]

Problem solved, and with no explosions!

[ Ezreal does that Dynamite need confiscating. ]

Now we can advance.

[Wow, everyone. Wow.]

W-well, anyway. If that works then good enough. I've got extra lanterns, if anybody has Electric Pokemon or Fire Pokemon probably best to bring them out. Tell is the area is extremely dark so we'll want both something on our person to produce light as well as some Pokemon that can do it more naturally. On that note...

[His Warp Band flashes and Dragon, his Charizard emerges]

Got it.

[Warden is already out for lantern duty, but Quinn activates her Warp Band. Rylai the Galvantula and Jasper the Raichu are now on the field, the spider already crawling up to the hole to look down into it.]

I can send Rylai down to make sure this hole is not an endless pit or anything.

[Safety first and all. The Galvantula does nod, she's totally okay with a little adventure.]

[Estelle considers for a moment, before she lifts her fingers up -- and then makes a little ball of flame appear over her staff. Her Spiritomb, Ernst, swirls into horrible existence from her warp band. She looks at Ezreal, grins, and then at Quinn.]

[All right, Ruby, you're on! Summoning the tiny Vulpix, who is already harassed up and just needs to be attached to her human's pack, the pokemon yawns a bit.]

All set!

[ Shyvana summons her own Pumpkaboo, a small orange flame that-- quickly disappears into her hair. ]

Tangerine...

[ It peeks its head out. Shyvana picks her up and snuggles it close to her chest. ]

I am ready. [ More or less. This is as good as her light is going to get. ]

[Peter summons his own Galvantula, who proceeds to clamber onto his Trainer:s back like some sort of disturbingly fuzzy backpack.]

[As the rest of the team summons their Pokemon, Ezreal sets up a sturdy metal spike and ties several ropes to it.]

All right team,, we're going to rappel down. I'll ride Dragon to support anybody just in case, it's a long way down so we don't want to lose anybody from a fall. If anyone else has a flier, might be a good idea to bring them down with me as insurance. When we get to the bottom, we'll set up some lights and get moving. All right, let's move.

[Ezreal hops on Dragon's back and the two begin gliding down the hole, the light from Ezreal's lantern and Dragon's tail flame slowly descending, circling until they reach the bottom.

The bottom of the cave splits off into four different corridors. It's somewhat narrow, but still enough room to maneuver through.]

[And out comes Aubrey the Altaria, making the trip down much easier. Fastening Ruby to her, the two sail down with little difficulty. The Vulpix summons will o' wisps, which circle down around them.]

[Peter, Gordon, and a glowing Sparky all descend on Amanda's back. Dismounting, Peter studies the tunnels.]

Well, this is looking like it's gonna be loads of fun. We wanna pick one at random and go together, or split up?

Let's stick together.

[She glances at Peter, then glances at Lux. She considers, before she nods.]

Just in case there's something dangerous. It's what we did in the coastal ruins, right? It seems like a good idea. All for one! Or something!

[ Shyvana has no flying type, so she descends via rappel. It's not too bad, and she is competent. ]

I agree. Sticking together seems like the best course of action.

Progressing the log

[Lux nods reassuringly to Estelle.]

Agreed. We don't really know what we're going to run into, and there's safety in numbers. As for which way to go, hmm. We came from the east, so let's keep going west. Sound good?

[The western corridor stays straight for a few hundred yards, and is extremely dark. Any light sources seem to help, but are a bit dimmer than what they would usually be. There doesn't appear to be any evidence of whatever created the structure above, and the cave system seems to be natural.

In the distance, the corridor curves slightly. Something shimmers in the air, a strange, almost lavender-colored orb of light. It flickers, before another appears, and another.]

Well that's interesting.

[Ezreal watches warily, backing off just a bit. While he cannot, anyone with the Analyst ability can discern that these are Litwick.]

[Her hand tenses a bit on the staff, but she doesn't brandish it or anything yet.]

I think that we should be fine so long as we do not disturb them.

There must be at least a dozen of them.

[She doesn't sound scared but, rather, excited.]

I think if they meant to attack, they would have done so already. Shyvana's right, I think. And if not, we can take them. [Probably.]

[Time to press forward, group!]

[As the group moves through the caves, the Litwick become more present, lining the cave and producing light, almost as if they were lanterns. The group also begins to hear things, echoes, taps on the walls that reverberate through the caves. The tapping sounds meaningful, purposeful and deliberate.]

[Ezreal holds up his hand]

Hang on. Something's up.

Yeah. You're right.

[Estelle glances sideways at Ez, then at Lux, before she closes her eyes and concentrates.]

It's a pattern, I think--or at least, it's not a random noise.

Might be coming from whatever made that structure up top.

[Amanda looks up at the Litwick, and speaks up.]

Don't suppose you guys know what's making that sound, do you?

[Hearing the sound, Lux scrambles for her bag, picking up her sketchpad and a pen. It was a pattern, and she was going to notate it as best as she could in dots and dashes. She gives a look to Peter and Estelle to stop talking.]
