Plot Description: Investigating the giant hole in the ground in the middle of the deep Wild Woods.

[Coming to the designated spot in the Wild Woods, the group came across a group of dilapidated stone structures, save for one. Surrounded in a bit of rubble was a stone structure, lighter in color than the rest of the structures, looking relatively new and quickly assembled.]

[Understanding the situation well enough, Ezreal bows respectfully]

Yes sir. Explorers from the surface. We weren't expecting to find another settlement of humans down here, I must say.

[Lux does the best that she can to not look utterly awe-struck by the scenery, and fails horribly. An entire city, an entire civilization, hidden underground, lit by pokemon. She could hardly stand still.

She managed to reign it in once the elder speaks, nodding toward Ezreal.]

[Peter does notice being take around in circles, but his annoyance wanes as they reach the city proper. He lets out a long, low whistle.]

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen this many Litwick in the same place before

...ah, sorry. Kind of lost track of my manners there. I'm Peter Parker.

Ah... wow, look at all this!

[There's not only less people than Caldera, it doesn't look anything like Caldera. She resists the urge to do a spin, but only barely. She's staring, though, before she looks back at the elder. She smiles, then.]

Yeah, we're up from the surface. This place is called... Refuge, right?

[The man strokes his beard, which is quite full, long, and extremely white]

Correct. Refuge, the last bastion of humans seeking safety from the raging gods above. When the raging ceased, we saw no others, although we have been loathe to travel far beyond our borders to seek others. There are not so many of us that we can throw our lives away so casually.

Interesting. We're from a city called Union. Until not too long ago we thought we were the last humans as well, our tales tell of a hero who pacified the gods and ended the war. We've recently made contact with some other human settlements. It's good to see that more people than we expected survived.

[Lux nods in agreement.]

It's strange seeing how big and small this world really is.

I'm from Caldera. It's another city out there. We, uh, know about that raging, too, of course.

[She shakes her head, before she looks around.]

We just found out about Union recently, but we get along pretty well.

[The man's eyes grow a bit misty]

And so young too... I never thought I'd live to see it.

Forgive us, people of Union, for our lack of hospitality. Return their belongings.

[The last is said as a surprisingly sharp command, which is immediately responded to with the return of all the team's belongings.]

To see other humans is an absolute blessing, one we never thought we would see. You will forgive us our wariness I hope, for we weren't certain what to expect. Would... would the people of Union meet with us? We wish to learn more about your city and your peoples. All of them. Our isolation has been long and harsh, but it seems that spring has at last broken for Refuge, bringing tantalizing glimpses of a summer to come.

[Ezreal is a bit taken aback by this sudden response. Good thing they brought Lux to do all the flowery talking. He remains silent.]

[Estelle has a bit of a reunion with her staff. She might have just hugged it a little. She's attached to this thing.]
