[She figures not everyone knows her name (most probably don't) so here she is again, introducing herself-]

Hi everyone! I'm Honoka Kousaka, from Caldera! I came to Union a while ago, and I wasn't sure what I would find, but what I did find was...

Singing! And dancing! And that makes people happy! [Guess who's seen some shows and went to the charity concert.]

I'm not very good, but I've been practicing. I have a Jigglypuff who's been giving me lessons, and she scolds me sometimes for messing up, but I've been working hard! And maybe one day, a bunch of us can do the same thing together.

I want to know if anyone else likes to do that too!

Action:

[Honoka can be found out in Union in various places. Idol training is hard! And Jigglypuff is making her run. She looks worn out and is whining a little about it, but she's still trying.

Later, there's dance lessons...those are going alright, but then she's not exceptionally talented at it either. It's obvious if you happen across their path.

And at the end of the day, singing lessons, right outside too- and Honoka sounds okay, but that Swellow that's with them trying to sing along is horrific!]

Even so, it's not like I have time to teach you from square one how to sing. You're going to need to practice a lot more before I can help you.

[ She's just being tsun, she doesn't think it would really be BAD to help Honoka, but it's just... Maki's so sick of being used by other people like she used to be when she was younger, that she has a hard time offering help. ]

That's okay! I'll practice with Crem! But you should still come sing with me for fun! [It's now that the Jigglypuff comes right into view of the camera.]

Jig! Jiggly! [She seems kind of mad. Because she's saying "I'm teaching her! And I can do it better than you!"]

W-Well...I guess that's different. I can sing with you a little, if you take it seriously. But just this once, because I happen to have some free time...

[ This is Maki trying to say she's interested without saying she's interested. Though her attention is turned to the Pokemon, who she can understand, being a shifter and all. ]

L-Like I'm going to believe that!

[honokairo]

Jigglypuff! Jiggly Jig! [I've been doing this for a long time, there's no way a little girl like you could possibly teach Honoka better than I can! Crem even puffs up a little bit. Bring it, sister!]

Aaahh... Ehhhhh... There's no need to fight.... [Honoka doesn't know how to take this, she didn't know Crem was so...pushy about it.]

[cutiepanther]

A girl like me?! [ Maki isn't about to lie down and take that from Honoka's Pokemon, looking like she might burst, puffing up almost as much, her cat-like ears on her head standing straight up. ]

Honoka! I'm coming there right now, don't move! [ Ignoring the girl's protests, Maki is already reaching for a coat, heading for the door to meet up with her. ]

[honokairo]

Oh! Okay! [So she won't. Jigglypuff turns to Honoka, waggling a finger.]

Ahhhh! Crem, you don't have to be so mean!

Maki!!!!!

[cutiepanther]

[ Apparently all it takes is a little antagonism to get Maki to actually get up and do something. Being told she can't do it, or someone can do it better, she's so easy to manipulate.

And only a few minutes later Maki appears, dressed in workout clothes, a beanie on her head and the ends of her hair in little ties. ]

Alright! We're going to do this then!

[honokairo]

[Honoka gasps when Maki arrives. Jigglypuff is less than thrilled.]

JiggglyyyyyyPUFF! Jiggly Jig Jiggly! Jiggly Jigglypuff! [What do you think you're doing here?! She's my student!]

Don't worry Crem, Maki and I are going to hang out for a while-! [Quickly getting up, she runs to the door to go with Maki.]

[ Maki just puts her hands on her hips and leans forward at the Jigglypuff. ]

If she's going to learn how to sing she should learn from someone who knows what they are talking about! You can teach her how to dance or get her in shape in you want!

[ That way they can split the duties, despite the fact that Maki never really wanted to get involved, but she can't stand the idea of Honoka not learning how to sing correctly. ]

If you're going to learn to sing you have to promise you are going to take it seriously, Honoka.

[honokairo]

[Jigglypuff bristles. FINE. Go ahead. She walks away, the diva that she is.]

I will Maki! I want to do this more than anything! [Seeing how music really did something for people got her.] I'll practice and become really good at it!

[cutiepanther]

[ Divas meeting divas are usually difficult things. And Maki is most definitely one herself. ]

Well, talk is cheap. [ Turning her back on the other girl, her hands still on her hips, Maki actually takes the time to think this through a little. When she does, she finally turns back. ]

I'll help you get started on training your voice, and learning how to sing, but that's all.

[honokairo]

Okay! [That is perfectly fine with Honoka. Some help is better than none!]

Should we go to your house and use the piano...?

[cutiepanther]

[ Honoka, you're just going to get a light chop on the top of your head. ]

You don't need the piano yet! There's a lot of work you have to do to get to that stage!

[honokairo]

Yeeeee! [Ow she chopped her head!]

But I have been, what else do I have to do? Crem made me sing all these songs, and told me to work on them for next week or she was going to take away my snacks!

[cutiepanther]

[ That is just one of many she has in store for you Honoka. ]

She did? [ That news is a little surprising, maybe she had been too hard on the Jigglypuff.. ]

Then sing something for me. Right now.

[honokairo]

...I! I can't just sing like that...!

[GATHERING STRENGTH she can do this]

I don't know what to sing! Um! Maybe...

[TAKES A DEEP BREATH]

Twinkle, twinkle little star!

[It's not spectacular.]

I thought you said you were taking this seriously, Honoka?

[ Maki turns her back on the other girl, showing a little tough love. She does look back over her shoulder though with one eye closed, seeing how Honoka will react. ]

[honokairo]

I'm sorry Maki! I didn't know what to sing! I can sing a better one!

[She starts singing this song, which is well...not...idol like, but hey, being classically trained helps, right? Jigglypuff thought so. Honoka isn't doing the best job either.

Maybe Jigglypuff's methods aren't the best, but the pokemon is quite good at what she does. The performing part, that is.]

[cutiepanther]

[ Maki turns around fully when she starts to sing, her face turning into little less of a scowl. Honoka is trying, that much seems to be clear, but she's not anywhere near where Maki would say she could be if she worked harder. ]

You should be able to differentiate your notes better. You need to raise your singing by another octave too for that song.

[ Finally deciding to stop being so hands off, Maki strides over to Honoka, placing a hand right on her stomach, without warning. ]

Try to match me, and sing from your diaphragm. Do~ [ Maki's voice is stable and pretty, it's clear she has a lot of practice. ]

[honokairo]

[She's not so sure what it means to sing from her diaphragm, but she gives it a shot. She's a little surprised when Maki puts her hand on her stomach, but it's no big deal. She listens to Maki, and nods. She'll try.]

Do-! [Not quite, but she's not off pitch too badly or anything. It's also a little nasal.]

[cutiepanther]

[ If Honoka doesn't know, Maki will teach her. When she hears that bit of nasally sound in her voice, Maki pushes harder against the girl's stomach, trying to make her point. ]

You have to sing from your diaphragm! There's too much tension in your voice.

[honokairo]

[With the push, she stands a little straighter.]

Okay! [DETERMINED FACE]

Do~ [Much better.] Is that better Maki?

[cutiepanther]

[ Maki's eyes open a little wider in mild interest. Honoka actually can sing, can't she? Either she has a hidden talent in it, or she's been working harder than Maki's given her credit for. ]

Just because you can sing a note doesn't mean you're done!

[ Without thinking about it, Maki reaches out to grab the other girl's hand, pulling her along. ]

We'll go to my house and use my piano.

[honokairo]

Oh...okay! [Guess she's going to Maki's house for lessons! She's not going to fight it.]

Does that mean you're going to help?

[cutiepanther]

[ Maki's still holding onto Honoka's hand around her wrist pulling her along, refusing to let go in fear of Honoka simply running off and getting lost. ]

Just for a little while. I don't want you to make a fool of yourself.
