Today on BNW: Beach Surprise! Ami's Special Birthday Gift...

Who: Usagi Tsukino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino and any party crashers that may just so happen to be near the beach *cough*The outer senshi*cough*
Where: Beachside, south of Union!
What: Wouldn't you guess, it's Ami's birthday! Usagi's taken the time to set up a birthday camp expedition to the beach with food, swimming and games to show a certain book worm how birthdays should really be according to her mantra.
Warnings: You've got the usual senshi shenanigans with a dash of the Body Swap event mixed in. Sounds like a hilarious episode, doesn't it?




[ Thanks to a little birdie one Rei Hino, it was up to Usagi to come up with the best birthday she could in what little time she had. And after careful consideration for who this birthday was for, Usagi could only come up with nothing but beach fun! It was still warm enough that swimming wouldn't get any of them sick, but it was cool enough that they wouldn't die of heat.

So, with friends, pokemon, food and camping gear in tow, it's time for the best birthday that Usagi hoped would be the best birthday Ami would ever have! ]

ooc: So, since this log is pretty simple, it's only going to be separated by Friday and Saturday (for obvious reasons). Friday might have more in terms of playing around, helping Mako-chan with the food or pokemon shenanigans but otherwise, have fun! It's not every day one turns 17 after all. ;D Also, don't be surprised if threadjacking happens? A whole bunch of teenage girls in one place.. it's only natural that everyone is in each others' business... unless you state that you don't want thread jacking. that's fine too!

[Hello there, flying ladies. Starly was strutting his stuff down the beach here. He was new in town and was looking to make some... friends... if you know what I mean. He was just going to parade and fluff his handsome feathers. They are handsome, right? Look at them gleam brightly in the sun. Now look down. Now look back at him. He's giving you the smolder look. Eyebrow waggle. A cool and calm statement.]

[Well, Starly...you just happen to be hitting on the two most eligible Murkrow at this party. And those two most eligible Murkrow take one look at you and just start laughing]

[OH GODS is he serious?! What. A. Loser! Does a grey bird really expect to have a chance with two fine young Dark Types like them?]

[ Hello other flying friend.

There may or may not be a very pretty Fletchinder hanging around the camp site with a pile of berries in front of her, happily chewing away while the festivities are underway. This firebird is perfectly okay with not being anywhere near the water thank you very much. ]

[He puffed out his handsome neck feathers and head-bobbingly strutted his way over towards the lovely flame tinted lass with her stash of berries. While water didn't bother him, he had no trouble with the idea of spending time a little further inland if the company was nice.]

[ Don't get close to the flame, Mr. Starly. You might get burned.

But, that spot is definitely open as Lucky politely scootches over to give him a bit of room. ]

[ Her human had told her to try and be nice to other pokemon that were on this trip and try she shall! ]

[...looks like you've attracted an eggbaby! Then again, you should probably be used to finding eggs by now. And yes, she does think your feathers are super shiny and she will do her best to reach out and pet 'em.]

[eggbaby just burbles happily, apparently unaware that she's being asked a question. If he doesn't act fast, however, those feathers are gonna get ruffled, literally.]

[Off to one side of the party are is Pokemon that aren't really seeming to take much part in the gathering. Isidis has never been the most sociable, and after he's evolved...it seems to have made the problem worse.

The Krokorok has always just enjoyed sleeping far too much. And he may or may not be snoozing while buried in the sand. Which means that there's a pair of sunglass-like eyes just sticking out of a small hill. Careful or you might step on him...but don't worry, he won't exactly bite. That'd require effort.

And then, of course, there's the usual suspects. Casius, Phobos, and Deimos. They're not up to any real trouble...but they seem to be playing a game where they toss a stick up in the air and try and catch it with either psychic power or wind. And it'd be going great if Casius overactive imagination wasn't making him think it was a threat, prompting him to spit fire at it.]

[Rapidash is just hanging out, feeling mildly out of place. There is a lot of water here, even if all this sand reminds her of the desert she used to call home. The lick of flames in the air, however, prompts her to trot curiously towards the group of Pokemon. Are they setting fire to stuff? Can she help?]

[Casius sure is! Much to the consternation of Phobos and Deimos. Every time they try and catch the stick, poof! It's on fire! You could always help set it on fire faster though...]

[oh! It's coming her way! Rapidash throws a small Ember at it, just like how Casius did!

...though, hm. Maybe they need a less crispy stick.]

[ So Haruka makes a habit of teaching her Pokémon Dig. None of them have quite taken to it the way this Eevee has, however. And this sand is ripe for exploring. The last time he went under the ground they found a big secret room in the Ruins! Who knows what's here in the Beach?? He will help everyone uncover it!

Thus far he's found three seashells, two interestingly-shaped rocks, a bit of driftwood, and an Old Rod someone broke over their knee and discarded here after catching their 9,001th Magikarp. All of these treasures have been carefully preserved off to one side as Eevee begins digging his dozenth hole. ] Vee!

[ There is also a small Nidoran pretending he doesn't know the Eevee. He's never seen this much water before, so he keeps putting a paw out and then retracting it. If only his beloved Stradivarius were here. Then he'd brave these waves to show her how cool he is! ] Ran.

[ That may or may not be a little Espurr baby walking up to said Eevee, looking on curiously at all the new holes on the beach and are those fun things off to the side?

She'd walk closer to ask if she can join him, but fails to notice one of the more hidden holes that's small enough that she doesn't fall in, but big enough that the sand goes up to her chest. ]

Espurr!

Vee?

[ Did somebody say something? Eevee turns and - oh dear! Oh dear oh dear! His ears go up and he bounds over. ] Eeeeeee!!

[ CHANGES TO GOLD used DIG! He'll get you out of there!

...Or make this hole bigger. One of the two. Especially when the sand beneath his own paws gives out and he falls down into his own hole. Now they're both sitting in it. ] Vee!

[ SIGH. She wanted to get out of the hole, not get herself deeper in it. But, she has to at least give the other Pokemon for at least trying to help. So, thank you very much , Gold! You get a grateful smile in return. ]

Espurr.

[ Now, how to get them out of this. The three week old baby tries standing up so she can do her best impression of the digging technique she had just seen... and instead piles more sand on top of her head. ]

[Hey there, Eevee. This Aron was interested in digging, too. First, because he was kind of lazy, he checked out what was already there. No metal. Boring. So he watched Eevee dig... waiting. He might join in later, but that depended on just how motivated he felt. Which wasn't very motivated at all.]

[ Dig, dig, dig, dig. Eevee is intent on this task. He thinks he sees some treasure down here - ah -

Oh. It's a twisty piece of metal that probably belonged to one of these Rod splinters. He's not worldly enough to realize this, however. He just thinks it's shiny and kind of cool. ]

Vee. [ Gingerly he places it on his treasure pile, and begins to turn back to his hole... ]

[At that, he perked up, blinking his eyes a little as he sniffed that distinctly metallic scent. Yup. That smelled pretty darn yummy from here. Eevee found Aron's motivational trigger. He got up and slowly wandered over, pushing his nose through the treasure pile rather carelessly, and picks up the piece of metal in his mouth.

Mm... Hm... Thinking about eating it or saving it...

But, hey... if this Eevee was so good at digging, he might find more...]
