So, uh, it's like... a week late, but...

What'd you guys get your moms for Mother's Day? Like, what'd be a good gift? One that says "Sorry I forgot and thanks for putting up with me while I was friggin' bedridden." I'm open to suggestions. And yeah, I know it's an asshole-ish thing to do, forgetting like that, okay?

The point of "Mother's Day" is to appreciate what your mother has done with her mothering abilities. One of which, the most important to many, was bringing you into this world and raising you, Jean.

Um... personally I-- ah.. would consider your personal involvement above all else in your decision. [Moms.. are a touchy subject, but also one Bertholdt can try his best at elaborating on. My mom? Well we went to her party for one thing, that's all she ever asks for. It's not like I'd miss out on it though! That was for her birthday though, they're only a week apart so she counts it.

Made gifts is definitely more in my price range. Not everybody can just go around and buy their mom friggin' jewelry.

That would make them last rather than wilt. It takes some extra effort, but you did forget Mother's Day.

Do you know how to press them already? If not, I can tell you. It's not too hard, but there is a method.

You're going to want a thin cloth to dry the flower with, and a thick book. Get a couple of pieces of paper to protect the book's pages from colour that might come off of the petals, then press the flower in between the middle of the pages.

[That can take a while, though, so she adds:]

If you want to press it a little faster, you can put a weight on the book - a rock will do. Once it's dry and pressed, you can mount it and put a picture frame around it. I recommend pressing a few flowers together in an arrangement.

I got... pearl necklace, a picture I drew of her as her pokémon dueling alter ego, and a solemn promise to behave myself on at least one formal occasion during the year to come.

Oh, and I tripped my uncle into a buffet table. She scolded me for that, but I know she appreciated it a bit.
