SPRING GALA!
Log Deputy: nor PM, church PM
Log Deputy Schedule: We're both on around 9PM-9AM EST usually if you need us right away.
Participating Characters: Anyone who wants to join!
Plot Description: Spring Gala at the Fabre's!
Every year, Judge Fabre throws a birthday party for Asch and Luke's mother Suzanne. Because she's a bit sickly, the party is thrown outside when the air is the freshest in the spring. Any and all nobles and those of high standing in the community are invited, but there are... ways for the common rabble to get in and have a good time as well. Namely, the part of the manor ground's fencing that was torn down during the earthquakes. That, or maybe the guards are having a good time too and wandered away for some ...action. Either way, everyone's eligible! There will be food and drinks (children, mind the wine,) cake, dancing and more! Don't forget the fireworks at midnight, it might be something romantic for you and your sweetie. Wear something nice and mingle!
Warnings/Notes: Nothing but fancy outfits and maybe a little alcohol around here.

Welcome to the Fabre's, please enjoy your stay.

lmao no this is great
Of course. It's right this way.
[ He'll place a hand on Feliks' shoulder and lead him on. To the table, I mean. ]
no subject
[Oh god, is he touching him? Can he... like... not? Feliks smiles up at him, though for anyone who's any good at all at reading people, his discomfort is clear.]
Actually, I'm not even hungry. Weird. So, uh...
[He glances around, looking for an excuse to leave. Can't his pokemon, like, be ripping an expensive tapestry nearby or something? No? God, he has the worst friends.]
no subject
Well, at least they found the cheeses. ]
Oh, that's too bad. You should at least try something, it's all so good. My Aunt Suzanne has really outdone herself, don't you think?
[ Gosh, he's so sincere and nice, how are you not eating this up, Feliks? Really, just so weird, huh? ]
no subject
[What, like he's going to talk bad about the hostess, in her condition?]
Buuuuut I already ate. Like, a ton. So, you know.
[He shrugs. Ugh, Hans, can you just like stop being so darned friendly at him? It's weird and unsettling, okay???]
no subject
Really? Before the party?
[ How rude. Though Hans keeps his smile steady. He's gonna find out what's up with you, Feliks, mark his words. ]
That's a shame. I'm sorry to hear that. Are you at least enjoying the party?
no subject
No, like, at the start of the party? Like, I had a lot of the little things with the Aspear Berries on them, before the band got going, I just kind of forgot for a second.
[He gives another glance around the room for an excuse to go somewhere else. Hopefully, it just looks like he's taking a look around to take in the party?]
It's cool? Like, the music's pretty good...
no subject
[ Really, Hans can tell Feliks wants out. It would be polite to let him go... ]
Then in that case, would you care to dance?
no subject
[He sounds skeptical of this. Very skeptical, and disbelieving, and perhaps even a touch pitying. Then again, the music's starting to hint at another dance starting, and he doesn't want to miss it, since he IS having fun dancing and all... He glances at the dance floor, giving it a bit of thought. And then, abruptly, with a moment left until the dance starts...]
Okay, come on!
[Maybe he'll like talk less then.]
no subject
[ You're wearing a skirt, Feliks. It's fair game. While Hans is just about ready to take that hesitation as a dismissal, he ends up getting swept off-- okay, you win that one. It only takes him a moment, but he slips back to his composure after that. Just, uh, ignore that. He did it on purpose.
At least on the dance floor, Hans can go back to being perfect. ]
no subject
[Then he turns to him, in his pretty princess skirt, and takes the position to lead. What, just because he likes to look pretty means he has to follow? As if, right?]
Just make sure you can keep up with me!
no subject
I doubt I'll have any problems with that.
no subject
[He drags Hans along, a little too haphazard and carefree, but by no means without skill. Somehow, his apparent lack of attention to anything but what's fun at the moment doesn't seem to result in any collisions, so there's that, at least. And as uncomfortable as he can be around Hans, the music seems to bring out the best in him fairly immediately.]
no subject
My, you're quite the dancer, aren't you?
[ Flattery, yes. Good plan. ]
no subject
I'm not bad!
[He whirls them around a bit, narrowly missing a waiter with a tray of wine-filled glasses.]
Too bad you're like, too tall for me to spin right. What's up with that?
no subject
Uh, well, genetics, I suppose-- I'm more trained in classical styles. I must say, I'm having trouble keeping up with you.
[ He should've worn comfier shoes. ]
no subject
It's so not that hard, you just have to chill out and go with it! Nobles, Savior.
[As if he isn't the heir to a noble house, too, but at least he doesn't act like it!]
no subject
[ He says, all done up in his finest and twirling about, just barely able to keep up. Get on Feliks' level, Hans. ]
Where did you learn to dance like this?
no subject
[Which is, at the moment, Val for "I'm a little surprised you have not yet tried to snap my neck." He seems a little pleased about this, because hey, people are fun to poke, uptight people doubly so. He raises the hand with Hans's in it and spins underneath it--unfortunately not as fun as being twirled by someone, but it's something! He'd probably switch roles, but he kind of doesn't feel like letting Hans lead.]
Immy and Pamela, mostly? [And he's not going to get upset about Imogen--he's sure that wherever she is these days (she's fine, he's sure!)--she'd want him dancing rather than worrying. He gives Hans a mischievous little smile.]
Them and like, sneaking to the entertainment district.
no subject
I see... So you weren't professionally trained, then?
[ Hans, you're so out of your league. ]
Not sure if "Interesting" means "weird," "to be watched carefully and/or manipulated," or
[He shrugs, looking a little bored with the question.]
In commoners' dances? Pretty sure that's missing the whole point, dude.
[He stops them, and assumes a much more proper stance, just to prove he can.]
It's not like my grandparents didn't get someone to teach me the ones they wanted me to know, though?
definitely all of the above.
[ This, Hans can do. He's just... old fashioned.
And heartless.]Maybe you can teach me the other kinds? I only ever learned the proper stuff.
Fair.
[Excuses are for people who have a fuck to give! Also, he just really doesn't want any more Hans in his life than necessary. So, you know.]
hans don't break anything
Well, I can't argue with that!
This is the beginning of something beautiful.
[No, honestly--Feliks has deliberately pissed off enough people in his short years that Hans's calm, pleasant reaction feels wrong. Most people would at least look mad or shocked for a split second, even the nobles--he covers it too well. "He didn't get mad when I was bitchy" probably isn't going to convince anyone besides himself, but Feliks has definitely just come to a conclusion.]
[So what's he going to do for now?]
[Shake him up. Throw him off his guard, keep him guessing, or try to. With a laugh of his own, he shifts position again, moving Hans's hand to his waist and his own to the taller man's shoulder.]
But I guess you can take a turn leading, if I'm wearing you out too much!
dammit Hans, quit being TOO nice!!
[ Hans would step on his feet were he a lesser man, but instead he keeps that smile of his pasted on. Really, it takes a special brand of nuisance to piss him off.
He leans them into a quick step, waltzing is his specialty, but a paso doble is a bit flashier, so obviously he means to show off. ]
You shouldn't worry about me, though. I don't tire easily.
