Action - Canyon Trip! [Closed to Sora, Lea, and Riku]

[ After Roxas' trip to the Lake Shrine with Blue he took the time to consider the offer that Sora gave him a few weeks prior. That when he was ready to go to the Canyon Sora would come along with him. Earlier this week while Sora was visiting him Roxas had made that decision.

So that is what the two are doing today.

Before Roxas left his room he quickly wrote down a note in case Lea came or some unexpected visitor. Since, to him, neither of them seemed very likely that day this was all the note said:

Going cliff climbing with Sora

The fact it says a name doesn't help when your Sylveon is named Sora as well.

But that aside Roxas is looking around at the base of the Canyon. So far he doesn't see how Sora really likes this place but maybe it's because they're not at the top yet, right?? He did say something about the wind and the view. ]

[Sora was in an excitable mood. Part of him hadn't been expecting Roxas to actually go through on the ideas so soon, so it was an extremely good sign to him. Not to mention, exploring places- even places he's been before, was always a lot more fun with another person.]

[But he knew it meant he had a responsibility to make sure Roxas didn't get hurt, so he's trying to keep some sort of lid on the excitement. Which with Sora, means he's barely able to keep himself from bouncing in his shoes.]

[He hadn't bother to leave any sort of note. As far as he was concerned, it wasn't like he had anyone he needed to check in with that wasn't Roxas.]

[But there he was at the bottom, Simba now a full grown giant Luxray standing next to him looking up at the cliff. He points out a narrow, steep passage way that'll take them up the cliff]

Okay! Since you're not a flying type, we're gonna have to take the long way up. And it's kinda rugged- you sure you're okay with climbing?

[ Sora the Sylveon had all the excitement between him and Roxas. Not that Roxas isn't excited himself but his expressions hasn't quite gotten that far yet.

Roxas looks towards the narrow steep passage Sora has pointed to. That's... pretty narrow and steep. But turning back on this now isn't an option. ]

Yeah, of course. Lead the way.

[heartstorage]

[It's okay the Soras will handle the facial expressions for you. He grins a little.]

Okay, this way!

[He starts walking up the passage way, glancing behind him to make sure Roxas is following. Simba meanwhile will wait to take the rear in case you two do something dumb like slip]

[ Roxas carefully follows behind Sora. He looks down to watch he's steps so he doesn't trip on any Sewaddle slip on any rocks. Sora the Sylveon on the other hand is taking things less carefully simply walking up the path joyfully. Luckily he seems pretty light on his feet. ]

How long will this take?

[heartstorage]

Um...I never timed it, but it can be a pretty long climb. If you get tired, just let me know okay? I think you're light enough that Simba could carry you.

[Though from the huff noise that Simba makes behind the group, it's pretty clear how great Simba feels about that idea!]

... Okay.

[ Though hearing that huff noise from Simba he's probably going to refrain from saying anything. The lion doesn't seem to be very fond of him anyways.

So he keeps up with his pace or... at least tries to. Walking around is a lot different than climbing that's for certain. ]

[heartstorage]

[Well, Simba's not about to rip out your throat anytime soon! So that's good right??]

[He meanwhile keeps it at a moderate pace. Fast enough so Roxas doesn't think Sora is going easy on him, but slow enough so it's not too much of a challenge on him. As they go on, the path becomes less defined, and more uneven- a clear result of the earthquakes a few months ago. Sora's not too worried though- he's walked this a number of times]

So you went to the Lake Shrine, right? How was it?

[meguriau]

[ That's always good. We don't need anyone's throats being ripped out.

Roxas on the other hand finds himself being even more careful as the path becomes less define and clear. The abundance of rocks that he could slip and hit his head on is making him nervous but he tries to focus on Sora's question instead. ]

It was peaceful. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

[ Sora the Sylveon flicks his feelers happily in agreement. ]

[heartstorage]

[Poor Roxas. There are rocks everywhere.]

That's good! Did you go with someone or just your Pokemon?

[meguriau]

[ Let's not focus on those nope ]

Went with someone who offered to go.

[heartstorage]

[everywhere]

Oh? A friend?

[ARE YOU MAKING FRIENDS ROXAS???]

[meguriau]

[ No 8( ]

Yeah. Her mom works at the Medical Center.

[ HE IS AREN'T YOU PROUD ]

That's great!

[HE'S VERY PROUD. Oh there's a ledge here. Sora jumps up onto it with no problem and offers roxas a hand]

What's her name?

[meguriau]

[ GOOD TO HEAR. Roxas takes Sora's hand and uses it to climb onto the ledge himself. Mental note when he's not with Sora teleporting will be the preferred way to travel here. ]

Blue.

[heartstorage]

[Roxas you lazy bum. Once Roxas is up, he'll pull him back a little from the ledge's edge so Simba has room to jump and climb up before letting go of Roxas's hand]

Blue? [he tilts his head a little] That's a strange name!

[Sora. Your brother's name is an anagram of yours. Shut up.]

I'm glad to hear you're making friends though!

[meguriau]

[ Hey it's not being lazy it's being resourceful. Sora the Sylveon follows after the rest once they're all up onto the ledge and jumps up himself. ]

No stranger than mine.

[ Color. Anagram. Totally not much of a difference. ]

[ How do you respond to that ]

[Sounds like laziness to him! And with everyone up on the ledge, he starts to walk again]

Your name's not...strange! [yes it is and he knows it] It's...uh...unique!

[Just be glad you're not a friendless loser really]

[ Shhh it totally isn't. Roxas starts to follow Sora again with his Sylveon trotting behind him. ]

... Unique. [ Isn't that just a nicer way to say strange. ]

[heartstorage]

Yeah, unique! [Yes, yes it really is] It's one of a kind!

[...sorta]

I ... guess. I don't know anyone else with it.

[ And in general who else has a name that is an acronym of their brother's. ]

[heartstorage]

There isn't! Because...our parents made it up.

[meguriau]

From your name.

[heartstorage]

[he perks up a little! Is Roxas remembering something?!]

Y-Yeah! That's right! They said they weren't expecting twins.

[meguriau]

[ It could be?!?! but of course it's about his and Sora's names. ]

That explains it. You're older by how much?

[heartstorage]

[Hey he'll take what he can get!]

How much?

[crap he was hoping you'd keep thinking it was by a big gap of time]
