Action - Canyon Trip! [Closed to Sora, Lea, and Riku]

[ After Roxas' trip to the Lake Shrine with Blue he took the time to consider the offer that Sora gave him a few weeks prior. That when he was ready to go to the Canyon Sora would come along with him. Earlier this week while Sora was visiting him Roxas had made that decision.

So that is what the two are doing today.

Before Roxas left his room he quickly wrote down a note in case Lea came or some unexpected visitor. Since, to him, neither of them seemed very likely that day this was all the note said:

Going cliff climbing with Sora

The fact it says a name doesn't help when your Sylveon is named Sora as well.

But that aside Roxas is looking around at the base of the Canyon. So far he doesn't see how Sora really likes this place but maybe it's because they're not at the top yet, right?? He did say something about the wind and the view. ]

[ Roxas quickly scans the area for the best place for Sora and him to hide. Once he spots it he points. ]

Over there.

[ And-- oh those voices he recognizes them. Not so much the second one but the first one? Oh boy. He looks at Sora; whether they still hide is up to him because he suggested it. ]

If you go I'll follow.

[ He can teleport if he has to don't worry about speed. ]

[Yep sorry guys, he has no idea what he did and he rather avoid trouble. And so he nods at Roxas before running very quickly to the hiding spot that Roxas mentioned. ]

[RUN AND HIDE LIKE THE HELL. Logic was never his strong point.]

[it's not too long before Lea and Riku reach Sora and Roxas' former position. Lea stops, looking around.]

Dammit, those kids... Where did they go? SORAAAAA! ROXAAAASSSS!!

[he scratches at his hairline, frowning. Jolokia the Charmeleon and Arinna the Helioptile look around as well. Lea catches sight of some disturbances in the dirt; footprints. And not pokémon footprints either]

Aha. Here we go. [he crouches down and looks at the footprints, then calls out in the direction of the boys' hiding place again] Alright you two!! Come on out if you can hear me! You're not in trouble!

[Fiddles with his Warp Band for a minute after scanning the area. It's clear that they're not in sight right now, but maybe Mickey's nose will be able to pick up the scent. He releases the Houndour and bends down to give him a good scritch behind the ears and whisper into them as well.] You remember Sora, right? We met him above the surface that one day? See if you can pick up his scent and surprise him.

[Footprint tracking and a canine nose should be enough to find the boys. While Mickey presses his nose to the ground, Riku stands up straight, giving Lea a look and keeping his voice low.] Speak for yourself. You ran up here like your life depended on it.

[And now raising his voice;] You will be in trouble if you don't come out soon though!

[ WOW neither of them sound happy maybe they shouldn't have went and hid. But it's obviously too late for that now. Since it was Sora's idea to hide in the first place Roxas is just going to turn to his twin again and see what he does before following.

Again.

Hey Sora is the "supervisor" here. ]

[Oh no they brought a bloodhound. Sora knows their time is limited. Sure, hiding still seems better but- he knows maybe it's best to call it quits.]

[Since hey, both of them were fast enough to get away if Lea's not telling the truth.]

[And so, he gets up. Trying to smile, but it's very clear that Sora knows perfectly well he was hiding]

Oh- H-hey Riku! Hey Lea! What's up?

[PHEW. THERE'S SORA. Thank the savior that Roxas' note meant the human Sora and not the sylveon one. That's a big relief. Lea crosses his arms and looks at Sora with a glare]

Don't you "what's up" me! I was worried sick!! I thought Roxas has run off to explore this canyon by himself! Now that I know he meant you and not his Sylveon, I'm a little less worried. But not much!! You guys are gonna turn all my hairs gray! And it won't look nearly as good on me as it does on him. [he jerks a thumb at Riku]

[Lea, you spiky haired jerk. You're are going to get one unhappy glare aimed at the back of your head for that remark. That and grabbing of that hand to lower and a mumbling of it being silver and not grey.

It's the last time he tag-teams with you B| Hmph.

Riku, however, is just relieved to see them in one piece, having not assumed that it was Sora the Sylveon. He breathes a sigh of relief and motions for Mickey to come back.] You two aren't hurt, are you?

[ Roxas shows himself a moment after Sora does with the same expression he normally wears: zombie.

... right. Note to self: specify which Sora next time a note is left.

Seemingly not phased by Lea's scolding he turns to Riku. ]

We're not hurt.

[Yep. He is both confused and hey, a little bit offended! Like jeez all they did was go to the canyon]

Whoa- calm down Lea! Of course Roxas wouldn't go here by himself!

[And looking at Riku] Yeah, we're fine. Why wouldn't we be?

[Lea sniggers at Riku] Look, I'm saying it looks good on you. Take a compliment, man. [And silver and grey are the same color in hair, Riku. You can deny it all you want, but it's true.]

Well, I don't know, when he leaves a note that says "Sora", it's not specific! [Lea sighs, but he IS visibly relieved and calmed down] But like I said, I'm not angry. Just worried. This canyon is dangerous. You could slip and fall, or get eaten by a Pokémon, or any number of things!

It's not much of one when your hair looks like dyed Jolteon spikes. [He sighs and rolls his eyes. A compliment his butt.

He was just... well, not nearly as worried about their well being as Lea was putting it. But he was worried he'd lose Sora and Roxas again to causes like that. Normal causes. Not Zubat infested causes.] Well, like your mother hen here says, anything can happen. I just... [He looks away with a frown, lowering his voice as well. He just found Sora again.] ...wanted to make sure you were okay this time.

[Regaining himself, Riku waves a hand.] But whatever. Point is you guys are okay. [And now, a smile although it's more subtle.] Find anything interesting out here?

[ Roxas rubs the back of his head ]

None of that happened. [Directed towards Lea. Not going to tell him how many times he almost slipped though. ]

The view is great.

[ Would sound a lot better if he wasn't talking like a zombie. ]

We're not gonna get eaten by Pokemon, Lea.

[God you motherhen, he is so fighting the urge to roll his eyes at you. But Riku at least kills any sass remarks and makes him feel a bit bad. Because yeah, of course Riku would be worried. He just found them after all. And so his reply to Riku is much softer] Yeah, we're okay Riku - really. I know this canyon pretty well. Like Roxas said, we were admiring the view.

Hey! You're a little twat, you know that? You wouldn't even know where these guys were if I hadn't told you. Show a little respect. [HMPH. These damn brats. Riku's surliness doesn't bother Lea as much as he seems to show, though.]

Well it could have happened. When I was in the Rangers, we lost two people to pokémon predation and a guy I knew broke his leg climbing this canyon. I'm not worried about nothing like you guys are making it seem. But nothing happened, so all is well. [he waves a dismissive hand] The view is pretty great up here. And I'm not gonna drag you home or anything. You guys can stay as long as you want.

[There's something about getting under Lea's skin that just made him smirk and only shrug his shoulders. Yes, he can be mature for the most part, but he can be just as much of a shit disturber as the rest of them.] Takes one to know one.

[At Roxas' comment, Riku himself turns toward the city down below. He's never been up here before, and the view really is fantastic, even if the sun is hurting his eyes, making him shield them with his hand. It's not overly bright, but for a Dark type, it's enough.

It fits though, that Sora would know this place pretty well. It's open, and kind of reminds him of the areas and huge rock formations that were at home. It's kind of making Riku feel almost a little out of his element.] Yeah... it is pretty spectacular.

[ Roxas is going to keep his thoughts about the Rangers lost here to himself. Really he locked his twin brother in a closet because of Ranger stuff does he need to say or do more?

Besides the view from the canyon is a much better thing to think about. he nods his head silently to Riku's and Lea's comment about the view and doesn't really do much more. Silent zombie is going to be silent. ]

[He snickers a little at Riku and Lea's bickering.] Do you guys know each other? I didn't know that.

[Man, did Lea know everyone? He must really get around]

And okay, I get it. It's dangerous if you're not careful- but we're being so! [He puts his hands behind his head] But you can stick around if you want, if you're still worried.

Nope! Just met the guy. But we were both looking for the same people, so he came along.

[He does get around, though. He's a friendly guy!]

Tch! I'm not going anywhere. I ran all the way up here! I wanna take a nice, long break.

[he grins and sits down, leaning against a rock where he can look out over the area, and cracking out a bottle of water from the backpack he brought with him. Which also has a first aid kit in it. You know. Just in case.

Arinna the Helioptile climbs quickly on top of the rock, stretching out her frills to catch the sunlight. Jolokia the charmeleon goes to sniff at Roxas and give him a disappointed look. Because she's as much of a mother hen as Lea]

Yeah, just met. Though somehow I'm not surprised that you guys know each other. [Sora could make friends with anyone, and Roxas definitely needs someone like Lea to make him less zombie-like.

Riku follows suit in relaxing, stretching to the side before looking around. It is really bright up here, and staring at the city also meant staring toward the sun and that's really starting to hurt his eyes. Mickey wanders over to Roxas to give him a sniff in greeting, since he hasn't met him before, while Riku explores the area surrounding them.]

You ran so fast I didn't know it was you.

[ Times when it's sad that Roxas doesn't have his snarky tone behind what he's saying. But he looks to Jolokia after and ... tries to look apologetic? As apologetic his face can get before he turns to Mickey and kneels down to give him a scratch behind the ear. Sora's Houndour Pluto liked it so Mickey should too, right? ]

Heh heh, yeah. Lea comes to the orphanage sometimes with baby Pokemon for the little kids.

[And he's his bro's caretaker but that much was already obvious. He glances over at Mickey checking out Roxas- but if Mickey is Riku's Pokemon, there shouldn't be anything to worry about, right? And so, almost out of habit, Sora starts to follow Riku in the exploring]

Have you been here before?

[He grins at Roxas] I can run fast when I need to. I'm surprised Riku here could keep up. But he did! [to Sora, he nods] Baby pokémon are good for orphans. And orphans are good for babies.

[very matter of fact.

Jolokia seems to accept the (weird) apologetic look. She's quickly gotten used to Roxas' mannerisms. She lets out a puff of smoke as a sigh, but stays at Roxas' side]

[He scoffs at Lea's remark over his shoulder.] You're not hard to keep up with, trust me. But, that's good that you've made some friends there, Sora. [Good that there are others there to watch out for him.

Riku's not looking for anything in particular, and Mickey's moved on from Roxas to Lea, sniffing and investigating the older guy. Mostly, Riku's just curious about what Pokemon are out here, and he needs to do something to get his mind off the sun and how it's starting to effect his eyes.]

Nah, never been. I've just mostly been to the forest outside of Union. You?
