Action - Canyon Trip! [Closed to Sora, Lea, and Riku]

[ After Roxas' trip to the Lake Shrine with Blue he took the time to consider the offer that Sora gave him a few weeks prior. That when he was ready to go to the Canyon Sora would come along with him. Earlier this week while Sora was visiting him Roxas had made that decision.

So that is what the two are doing today.

Before Roxas left his room he quickly wrote down a note in case Lea came or some unexpected visitor. Since, to him, neither of them seemed very likely that day this was all the note said:

Going cliff climbing with Sora

The fact it says a name doesn't help when your Sylveon is named Sora as well.

But that aside Roxas is looking around at the base of the Canyon. So far he doesn't see how Sora really likes this place but maybe it's because they're not at the top yet, right?? He did say something about the wind and the view. ]

[ Well then what are they waiting for! Sora trots ahead a little. Let's go! Let's go!

Roxas just smiles at his Sylveon and waits for Sora to move and take the lead. ]

[he laughs a little at the Sylveon's sudden enthusiasm. He is sure easy to cheer up]

Okay, okay- we're going.

[He starts walking again up the path. ]

[ Well it can't stay disappointed for long with those words to think on! He flicks his ears happily and allows both Sora and Roxas to go in front of him before going back to his spot behind Roxas and trotting after them. ]

[Yes good other Sora be happy! And Sora keeps walking for awhile quietly. It's not an awkward quiet, so much as he just doesn't have anymore conversations to have for now. As they go the path gets increasingly steeper and messed up. Gaps, ledges to climb. But eventually, it looks like they are near the top!]

Okay, we just have to climb a little bit more and we'll be there!

[ Roxas spent the quiet time keeping an eye on his footing and making sure he didn't slip or anything. Especially as the path got steeper and more messed up it's kind of nerve wracking. But Sora was very excited when they got to a ledge he could jump, at least.

Hearing that they were close to the the top is a relief.]

Can't wait.

[ Seriously this is probably the most exercise he's done in more than a year the top better be worth it. ]

[Roxas you really need to get out more. Or at least learn to do sit ups.]

[He'll climb up those last few ledges, holding out his hand whenever he thinks Roxas might need it, until they reach the top. It's pretty easy for him, it helps he's been running around and training all this time so he's only a little out of breath. He'll grin and hold out his arms when they are at the top, looking out at the view]

Tah-dah!

[From the top, Yeah, the view is pretty darn nice. You can even see Union City way out on the horizon if you look close enough]

[ He'll do the latter but no. No sit-ups.

Roxas follows his brother up the ledges, taking his hand whenever it was offered to him. Unlike Sora when they reach the top Roxas is more out of breath. He takes the time to recollect some air before looking at the view.

Maybe he should do some sit-ups. But who cares look at that view. ]

W-Wow...

[ No better words describe it. And with Roxas' Analyst abilities in play he can even see Union City way out in the horizon. ]

We're... we're really here.

[He watches Roxas's reaction out of the corner of his eye, smiling. It definitely was worth bringing him out here just for that reaction. He was happy he could finally share this with someone]

Yep! You did it! Isn't it amazing? You can see almost everything from here!

Yeah, it is! Union looks so small from here.

[ Yes that is an exclamation mark. No it is not a typo. He actually sounds and looks amazed by all this. ]

[holy crap did he get him to emote?? That surprises him and makes him even happier. It's been a long time since he's seen his brother react anything like that]

Yeah! Do you think you can tell which tower the medical center's in from here?

Umm...

[ He gets just a little closer to the edge to try and get a better look. Let's see... ]

I think it's that one over there.

[He looks where Roxas is looking, and at the same time- making sure Roxas doesn't get too dangerously close to the edge]

Which one?

That one, a little to the right of the center.

[ It's kind of hard (like the rest of Union) but it's there! ]

[He stands on his tiptoes and squints. Fortunately, flying types tend to have good vision]

Hmmm, I think you're right! It looks like it's on the right side of the city.

[ Roxas nods before pointing to something else. ]

And there's the University. I ... don't really know anywhere else.

[He'll smile at him]

You'll learn more places, don't worry about it.

[Cause hey if you're willing to climb a canyon, seeing the rest of Union is a cakewalk! Maybe he was about to say more, but off in the good distance down the canyon, something catches his eye]

Hey-- is it just me or do you see something red down there?

[ Roxas simply nods at Sora's response before turning his attention at what had caught his brother's eye. ]

No, I see it too. What is it?

[ ... Hey. Wait. That red kind of looks familiar.

...

No it's moving too fast for it to be that. ]

I dunno! It's moving pretty fast!

[Sure, it still has a ways to go but man what is that thing]

It looks kinda...spikey? I can't think of any Pokemon in the area that fits that description though.

[whatever the red thing is, it's moving ridiculously fast. As the red thing gets closer, it's also apparent there's a white thing with him.

The red thing and the white thing disappear at the base of the climb to the top edge of the canyon, though. But it won't be long...]

[They disappeared, climbing quickly against the base of the canyon, but now there's faint echoes of a cry. Not of a Pokémon, though its too distant to tell what its saying.

Something like... Aura? And Rucksack?]

[ Roxas catches a glimpse of the white thing with the red thing before they both disappeared at the base of the climb. ]

There was a white one with it. But that one didn't look familiar either.

[ Though it was running kind of fast to really tell ]

[Sora meanwhile, is much better at recognizing that white one]

That's--

[His eyes widen. how did they know?!]

-- Uh oh.

Quick! Let's hide!

[Since he just KNOWS this means he's in trouble, somehow]

[ooooh no no no, Sora. There will be no hiding. Not from an Analyst who is worried about his baby chicks.

But if you're going to hide, boys, now's the time, because the sound of footsteps on the rocks below are audible. And getting louder.

There's another distant shout, this one a but more clear;]

ROXASSSS! SORAAAAA!! WHERE ARE YOU?!

[Nope, no hiding at all. Hiding won't solve anything between an Analyst and a trainer with a hellhound. Besides, its not hiding is going to solve anything on a canyon.]

Stay there, Sora! Roxas!

[he knows his best friend all too well. Because they're coming closer!]

[ Roxas quickly scans the area for the best place for Sora and him to hide. Once he spots it he points. ]

Over there.

[ And-- oh those voices he recognizes them. Not so much the second one but the first one? Oh boy. He looks at Sora; whether they still hide is up to him because he suggested it. ]

If you go I'll follow.

[ He can teleport if he has to don't worry about speed. ]
