Operation: Gigas Freedom Event Start
True to their word the Seekers lead the teams discretely through the winding streets of Gigas and into service entrances, gaining them admittance into the heart of Gigas’s political compound. Bringing them stealthily along the catwalks, the Union infiltrators were brought to the inner sanctum, close to the captive Gigases and their mission.
Sharp-looking soldiers in fatigues holding machine guns patrolled diligently, although their demeanor was not especially tense. It seemed no immediate operations were taking place at this time as no engineers were present. And in their enormous cages, the Gigases slept. Waiting.

Regice (Saber, Yuuna, Excellen, Kyosuke)
The temperature was already freezing, even with heavy steel walls meant to protect and contain the being within.
“You can still turn back, if you wish,” Naia intoned soberly, passing an inscrutable gaze at the group. “The choice is your’s. There won’t be another opportunity ahead.”
Luxray, Pyroar, Escavalier, Garchomp, Salamence
"I owe this to the gods, and to the people of Union," she says. "And these people are all my valued allies, and just as committed to this as I am."
Hitmonchan, Infernape, Farfetch'd, Dragonite, and Spiritomb
Beside her there was a knacking sound as Mifune the Farfetch'd made his intentions plain. Something about insulting Trainer's honor, and it's own by extension. Would he follow a coward? No.
"And he's ready too."

Castform, Pikachu, Absol, Ditto
"I didn't come this far to back down."
Her misgivings about the plan aside, for better or worse she had to lend her support.
Goodra, Golurk, Weavile, Milotic, Miltank

24 hour advance. I'll tag around 11pm EST
"Our plan is simple: we free Regice. My sources tell me that there's multiple drones and ballistas inside. There may be a delay before they activate, but not more than a few seconds. I'll need you to keep them busy while I handle the control mechanisms."
She paused briefly to cast the group one last, knowing look before she swiped her keycard to open the enormous steel doors.
"Also, as I'm sure you've noticed, it will be very cold."
Almost forgot, team is Aggron, Machamp, Talonflame, Garchomp, and Empoleon
Kyosuke steps to the forefront, prepared to charge. His steel and fire typing make him well suited for this challenge.

"You and Yuuna focus on close targets, Excellen and I will take far ones. I'm mobile enough to strike at a distance and still help you on defense."

The Pokemon hoots and sets himself readily. His typing, along with Yuna's, was very well suited for the cold. An aura of electricity formed around her, a magnetic shield of sorts that pushed off the ground enough that she was floating several inches off it. It was easier to move this way, no chance of slipping on ice.
"Kyosuke, was it? I'm ready as soon as the doors open. Give a shout if you need help. I've got a few more surprises on my Warp Band."
24 hour advance.
'Union' really was a good name for them.
"Be careful," she said, "and good luck."
With that she disappeared inside-- right when a series of lights scattered throughout the dimmed interior flickered on and levelled on the group, like the eyes of some hidden predator in the dark
lol and I post two seconds too late
"Roger dodger," She said, pulling out a smaller weapon. No need for the big guns yet. Besides, she didn't have a great place to set up.
The sudden cold air descending upon them was enough to freeze her from head to toe, and the blond not-so-subtly closed in toward Kyosuke. She had to cover his back. Or something. Look, it's cold, he's a fire type, they have a thing, you understand.
"Wow, our guide's a regular ice queen. Should we let her go like that?" And a pause. And a bit of humming. Reminded her of a song. Let her go, let her go... Anyway.
Seeing the lights, the blond quickly turned, a small handgun poised at the ready. Getting a bit creepy in here. Ice queen

24 hour advance.
Furthermore, they were attracted to heat. Good thing that there weren't any other heat sources within range.
The defenses and barriers that had been set in place were good, because the drones were fully live, now-- the first wave swarmed the group, firing steel-typed munitions at will. The rumbling sounds echoing from the back of the chamber indicated that ballistas were arming themselves, preparing to fire sooner rather than later.

Saber, meanwhile, transforms and zips through the air with an Aerial Ace to hit one of the ballistae in the back, trying to cleave through its high-tension cables with her body.

Kyosuke tosses a Claymore mine into the center of the robot formation before flames blast out of his back as he blasts off to the left, his autocannons blazing. On the other side, his Aggron roars and charges into the fray, the two looking to break up the ballista in the back line by breaking them up and relying on their own steel typing and superb defenses to protect them.

"Turnip. Wreck them."
An unoccupied ballista was then faced with a bit of a problem as a snarling, furious, Infernape exploded into action. It bounded off Yuuna's shoulders, ran up Aggron's charging back, and vaulted down with a Blaze Kick to the joint where it hit the floor.

The Claymore, though...
"Don't do anything rash!" Naia called from somewhere within the chaos, her voice echoing off of the metallic walls and weapons within the chamber like so many ice shards cracking in a storm. The floor beneath them rumbled and seemed to shift, as if destabilized.
There were still more drones, more ballistas. Their numbers seemed unchanged, as if they were entering the chamber from elsewhere...

"If anyone is listening and wants to let us know where these are coming from, it would be greatly appreciated," she says before trying to break another Ballista with a Shadow Sneak before it gets a chance to fire.
Edward happily roars with the thrill of a fight (even if it's getting a little brisk) and charges into a cluster of drones, rays of heat shooting out from his body in an Overheat.
