Taking Out The Trash

Who: Squid Girl, Arietta, Absol, Chester, Apollo, Pamela, and Rise
Where: The ocean's shore and a cave full of Trubbish
When: April 29th
What: Cleaning up the ocean
Warnings: Two groups here - one keeping the Trubbish back while the other dams up the hole they're coming through.  Going with no particular thread order here, just to keep things running smoothly and so threads don't get bogged down.  Post when you can and we'll just work through it as we go.

It's been about a week since Squid Girl discovered the horrifying cave full of Trubbish that feeds into the ocean via underground river, periodically dumping walking bags of toxic waste into her natural habitat.  And naturally, as a proud denizen of the deep, she's decided to do something about it.  So today Squid Girl has returned with a crack squad of environmental freedom fighters - or just the first six people she could wrangle into helping with this plan.  Either one is good enough for her.

"Okay, shut your beaks and listen up!  We're here to save the ocean from getting even more cluttered up with these Trubbish suckers!  Through careful inkfiltration, I've located their secret base in a cave not far from here!  We'll split into two teams - one team will go into the cave and make sure no more Trubbish come through, and the other team will dive underwater to dam up the hole they're coming through!  I have prepared lumber from the Verdant Forest and tools from the city for us to use.  It won't be easy, but we're doing somefin gilly important here - somefin that will be remembered by generations of Water Pokemon to come!  So what are you all waiting for?  Let's get kraken!"

[Power Split doesn't hamper Sharpedo quite so terribly, as Squid Girl's Attack power is fairly substantial on its own. It's Twister that really saves her, despite its relatively weak power. The swirling waters hamper the Sharpedos' mobility to the point that they can't avoid the following attacks.

Both Dragon Rage and Bite catch the same Sharpedo. Dragon Rage deals its fixed damage, and Bite is quite ineffective - Sweet Pea may possibly take more damage from the Rough Skin, even. Though it's not down for the count yet, it's enough to prevent it from reaching Squid Girl.

The other Sharpedo's Crunch will land, though this is one that's had its power lowered.

From the back, the next two Sharpedo dart in to run interference against the Gyarados group. One will take Sweet Pea and the other will take Namazu, both with a Crunch.]

[Sweet Pea lets out a roar of pain and Pamela wants to go in and help her. Except she really doesn't stand much of a chance, and she knows it. ]

Sweet Pea!

[On land, Sage is ready to attack the Sharpedo, but Sweet Pea is determined to keep fighting and lets loose a Dragon Rage at her opponent.]

[Namazu roars at the damage, taking only slightly less thanks to her intimidating capability.]

This isn't going so well...well, nothing says I can't send in more than one Pokémon, right? Namazu, try to finish that one off. Himiko, head down there and help everyone out.

[Rise's Gyarados lets out an underwater roar and focuses fire on whichever Sharpedo is weakest, trying to overwhelm it with sheer draconic anger. Himiko takes a deep breath and begins a dive to join the battle, assessing - and Tracing - the Sharpedos.]

[That twister really screwed things up! The most heavily wounded Sharpedo - the one hit by Bite and Dragon Rage - is clearly swimming with an injured fin now. Its comrade, the one closest to Squid Girl, realizes this as well. There is a few moments of thought before it backs up, expertly avoiding the Twister.

The odds were poor, what with the new Pokemon coming in. But they could at least leave a parting gift.

There is a brief chatter for a moment before the four Sharpedo all flip over and use Swagger on each of the Gyarados!

Have fun with that guys they're bailing. They make for the exit hole as quickly as they can.]

[Pamela winces. This is not going to go well at all. Thankfully, Squid Girl intervenes.]

Oh crap.

[In light of the three Gyrados being confused and aggressive, Sage the Ivysaur lets out a warning Growl in the hopes of weakening their attacks further.

Sweet Pea takes the first initiative and tries to Bite Namazu.

((In the interest of giving this a conclusion - ))

[Whenever the Gyarados are done fighting, the rest of the construction of the barricade will go off without a hitch. The Sharpedo have left behind a trail of blood upon exit - something glimmers in its wake.

There are three strange fangs hanging in the water... Were they knocked out of the Sharpedo's mouth? But they seem... valuable, somehow.]

((You guys didn't ask for a reward, but it felt like you deserved something. Trubbish will now be added to the Old City.))

((Their percentage has been shrunk down to 1%! This is to represent the ones released before this effort; this is just in case anyone wants to use the Trubbish gag still. Is that OK?))

((After consultation, we actually don't remember what we decided we wanted to do in regards to this so stay tuned until we're done with event stuff; there may or may not be something else happening.))
