[ CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE: Five options:

( Of Note: Melaka has no reacted her first evolution. The visible changes acre actually fairly minor - her muscles are tighter and thicker, and her skin is tougher too. She's also got a thick natural leathery fingerless "glove" over her hand. Like how a lot of fighting types have biological "clothing?" same deal )

a) Melaka in Union Park! She's there, walking with Willow and the two babies, generally enjoying herself a little more. It's nice and bright out and... she's looking for Gunther. A little. But mostly it's just a nice walk and a nice picnic. Do you sit with her? Attract the attention to the cute babies? There are options here.

b) Towards Kurain Village! Melaka is en route there with Brownie. Brownie recently evolved and Melaka wanted to re-introduce Jinxie to him. That said, Brownie is a n overly violent idiot, and is trying to pick fights with everyone they can even begin to cross paths with along the way. Try to avoid this conflict, get caught up in it, try to make him more violent? Awkward.

c) Around town all over the place, Melaka is running her errands. This begins at Pokeco, but then quickly devolves into her looking around to see if she can find a better deal at smaller shops. In the course of these errands she is doing some parkour leaps and jumps to get around quicker, and Sneak is floating beside her. In the course of this, you might find Melaka consoling Sneak for the fact that she hasn't evolved and she shouldn't feel too bad for it sometimes people take longer. You also might run into Melaka despairing about her budget...

d) Which leads us to the final push: Melaka scouting out the Verdant Forest with Slugger and Lurks. She's not doing it super officially, but she is trying to map out a route which can allow people to safely travel between Union and the spot where Banzu is making that port. She hopes she can then get an expense pay for doing that, but it's mostly a side-job for now. Will you run into her? Will a swarm of pokemon descend on them and make things weird? Will they run into a randomly strong evolved pokemon? Who knows, you can join in.

e) The bonus round! There is no Melaka here, there is only Gunther. He's out and about and planning to live large in his newfound city life. Places to get drinks? People to impress? Small businesses he can create to get his hands on more candy? Maybe he can discover even more vices? Have adventures with him, either as a trainer or with your own character's pokemon! ]

[ Fiddle, fiddle and... There! Sneak appears! The ghost looks around, briefly confused to be warped in when she was in the middle of scaring some dudes until she sees the other phantump. She doesn't rush over, but instead floats closer to Melaka, keeping her eyes fixed on the other ghost.

As for Mel though- ] Got it--... Wait so you can talk to 'em too?

[ Too does not mean her. As evidenced by the fact that she can't understand as Willow starts to go into a speech which deeply exaggerates her accomplishments as a proud defender of the Moss Rock. Or when Shiram chimes in that he managed to fight a weedle once! Because that's clearly impressive ]

[Oh, hi Sneak! Mary's Phantump keeps close to Mary as well, though it does shyly wave at the other a little. Mary cheerfully waves at the other Pokemon too.]

Yeah! My friends and I talk with each other all the time! [It certainly helps whenever Ib's too busy with something to play with her, keeps her from being too lonely. (And yes, that story about defeating a Weedle is impressive, Shiram. Oddy can agree with that, though Mary might think it's a little too easy)] Can you understand them too?

Nope, not a word. I've just been meeting a lot of people who can, lately.

[ Queenie snorts and then clarifies that she's beaten a Ratatta which is way more impressive. Willow points out that this wasn't even in the defense of the Moss Rock so she's not sure she can count it - even if it was impressive.

But Sneak waves a little hesitantly at the both of them. Friendly people . . . ]

Oh... [Well that's a little disappointing. But...] I haven't really met a lot of people who can talk to them too yet, but...it's okay if you can't understand them, 'cause they're still your friends, right?

[ Friends... ] Sneak here sure is.

[ And she reaches out and pats her on the head. Which connects with the wood head ]

[Mary giggles a little at that as she pats her own Phantump on the head too.]

And the others? Are they your friends too? [Willow seems nice, and so does Queenie...Shiram is nice too, but Mary's not quite eager to try to stand too close to that one yet...]

[ . . . . ] Some of 'em are, prob. The others kinda work together with me well, so I can rely on 'em.

"Some of them"? [Mary tilts her head a little at that.] Are you gonna try to be friends with all of them? 'Cause it would be better if you were all friends rather than just teaming up to only do work or something, right?

S'not like you can force a friendship or nothing.

[ She mutters this, glancing over at the babies and Willow. But she doesn't dwell on it, mostly because Sneak takes this moment to drift into Melaka's line of sight and give a supportive look.

... Before she then grows into the image of a monster about five times her normal size to Astonish her.

Which makes Melaka jump back with surprise-! You never get used to that ]

[Mary's about to comment on that "forced friendship" remark, but then she gasps a little in surprise at Sneak's use of Astonish...before she suddenly starts dissolving into giggles.

Sorry Melaka, the look on your face was kind of funny... ^^;;]
