Good news guys. I was out doing some training to get ready for the caverns tomorrow. I bonded with a Cascoon a few days ago, and she just evolved into a Dustox! Prickly's definitely moving up in the world!

Yes. The act of paying money to be able to continuing living in one's own home. Money that is acquired by doing your job.

Yes, I believe I have heard of this! One day would do that much damage?

My work is a bit irregular. As a Delver I have to come up with good salvage and manage some side projects in order to keep my income relatively stable. The fact that the Old City is closed off right now is a bit of a problem, that's why I'm going on the expedition to make up the difference. Well, one of the reasons.

If my act is truly as... bad as you say, I would not feel comfortable jumping in without someone to help keep me in line, if you will.

Well, it's interesting. I've never had a chance to really explore outside the city before.

We delvers have traditionally stuck to the underground. Honestly this iron shortage may be a boon, I've always wanted to explore beyond the city borders and now we might get more opportunities.

I know that feeling to a degree. Wanting desperately to explore the world outside of Union.

If the council's finally willing to stop hiding behind the walls we may finally have that opportunity.

[A knowing smile. Her father is one of the ones adamantly against that idea.

We are a long way from that becoming a possibility, I'm afraid. More families are welcome to the idea, as long as it directly benefits them. However, they are less likely to sponsor such expeditions due to money constraints, as well as the constant threat of a loss of resources due to the dangers outside of Union. There are more proponents against expansion outward than for.

So basically as usual they have their heads up their asses and are completely disconnected from the reality that you can't squeeze the Old City for five centuries and still expect it to yield enough resources to support the whole city.
