[He asks like he's talking to one person instead of a network at whole. Because that's easier and opens communication more. And also might help him a little better. Maybe.]

Four... and a fifth I bonded with and handed over to someone.

Not really. I'd planned to from the beginning, he knew that when we bonded.

Well that's good. [He's not sure how he'd feel about getting comfortable with a pokemon and then giving them to someone else. Well... if it was planned. And someone he trusted. Maybe he wouldn't mind. But he couldn't imagine giving Lette to someone and he hadn't known her that long yet.]

So what pokemon do you have?

Floette's my ace, she's been with me for a while. Then I got Scraggy, Shroomish and Trapinch in the last few months.

Trapinch got hatched though, they handed us eggs after we helped discover those tunnels when team evolution's fucking machines gave us earthquakes.

I have a Floette too! [He likes her quite a lot. Can't you tell?] That sounds like a formidable team. With them I can see why it's so easy to leave the wall.

They're surprisingly strong. And yeah my team's starting to shape up. I really need to find a water type though.

Do you try to find pokemon to bond with according to that sort of thing? [Shaping up a good team, he means. He hadn't considered that mostly because he's totally not in a battling mind set or anything like that, but it's' worth thinking about.]

Sometimes. Most of my guys just... happened, but it's my responsability to keep the team safe since they're staying with me. So I'm trying to cover that.

Same thing when I bonded with Sigilyph. We started just because we were fighting and I tried to talk him down, but I offered for him to stay because I thought he could help Atsuro.

[Garry's nodding along.] You sound like you have a really good head on your shoulders. You might not believe it but talking with you has helped me a lot. So thank you.

How long've you been with your Floette?

I think it's more how long she's been putting up with me. [Some humor at his own expense.] A while now, though.

None of the fairy types I know fuck around. If she's there she probably thinks you're worth it.

Ah... well that's good news, at least. I wonder how many more there are. I wouldn't mind bonding with more of them.
