[The camera shifts to show two identical Dratinis, both growling at each other.]

You see, I came across a strange Pokemon when I was down in the Mausoleum. I managed to get a picture of him before... well, before this happened. Here, one second.

[The camera moves again and quickly cuts out, a fuzzy picture of a fox-like Pokemon flickering on the screen, staying for a few moments, before going back to full video.]

When we first met him, he looked like a Drifloon, but changed to look like Camille. I managed to pick out the fake the first time, but now...

[The two are really going at it, both bristling.]

I could really use some help. It was easy enough to figure it out before I bonded with him, but now... They even sound the same!

Oh... well, that's their special ability, you see. They're masters of illusions. But there's usually one thing that gives them away, even when they're shapeshifted like that. Usually, it's their tail.

Well... maybe not on their pokémon shifts... but when they pretend to be humans, at least, their tails stick out. They're really sensitive there. So maybe yank on their tails and see who yelps loudest. [he chuckles a bit]

Wait, they can shift into humans too?

They can look like anything they want to! Pokémon, humans, inanimate objects... they're not really transforming like a ditto. It's just an illusion.

Interesting, I had no idea! I assumed that because the only forms he's ever taken were Pokemon that that was all he could change into, but that makes a lot of sense.

They're talented little critters. Their evolved forms even moreso! Zoroark tribes will team up to create huge illusions covering their entire territory to protect their families. And they can make such convincing illusory attacks that you really think you're being burned or frozen. [Lea grins a bit] Dark types get a bad rap for being tricky and mean, but you won't find a more loyal group of Pokémon.

[Both Dratinis turn toward him and proceed to start whining.]

Except one insists on angrily cooing at Ezreal from afar, while the other slinks over, getting in his face to do it.]

Camille, cut it out, he didn't mean it!

So this one's Camille, what's the other thing?

[Darn, he was just starting to have fun, you're a jerk, Ezreal. The other Dratini huffs before starting to glow and shrinking back to his normal size, transforming back into a Zorua.]

Hmm. So that's a Zorua. I heard once that they and Vulpixes share a common ancestor, but I am uncertain how true that is.

That's really fascinating, but I'm not sure how that's going to help me...

There might be some tells if you observe carefully. You might also, hmm, I don't know, try fried tofu?

Vulpix LOVE fried tofu. Perhaps it's the same for Zorua? I admit I don't know for certain.
