Hey everybody! It's time for the Weekly Update With Yang Xiao Long, the best hostess EVER!

[Yes, it's that time again. Yang appears on the screen, jumping into the video feed and throwing her arms out wide. Her Misdreavus and Eevee are snooping behind her, curiously, but staying out of the production otherwise. Yang grins, then raises one finger, leaning towards the broadcast.]

I promised last time to give you a life saving tip about not slipping and falling to your death on icy walking bridges! So, get ready...

[Yang grins.]

...use the handrails!

[She nods.]

A-a-a-a-anyways, so like, this week Union's had some honored guests named Team Evolution. We're gonna call them TeVo for short. TeVo's been really nice, except for the whole misunderstanding with machines that kind of made earthquakes that kiiiind of could kill us all. And there's a tournament going on, to show them what we can do and make amends!

While the Council talks about giving them earthquake-causing machines back. Yeah.

[She shrugs.]

The tournament's going! Yours truly was knocked out, but our show endorses Feliks SHUT UP MILLER, I KNOW HE HAS A LAST NAME! [the last is addressed at her Eevee, who sighs] because he beat me and I'm not gonna be shamed by losing to someone who doesn't win! So go get them, Feliks! Show these guys who's boss!

Next week we have a special guest star so special that I don't know who it is yet!

I should talk to him myself. Maybe there's something I could do. I'm not an engineer, but I'm better than most people when it comes to machines.

Just tell him that his pal Yang sent you, and you're in like Blaziken!

[Wow, that was horrible.]

I hope so. Because I'd really like to see what he's doing.

...What do you think of these Team Evolution guys?

I'm still not sure about them, to be honest. Kinda suspicious.

[second_destiny]

Me too. They're why I didn't sign up for the tournament. Something tells me I should keep what I can do a secret until I don't have a choice any more.

[ember_celica]

I signed up because I wanted to see if I could get a chance to see what they can do up close and personal! It didn't work out, though.

[second_destiny]

[A nod.]

We needed both people to sit out and people to participate. But you'd better believe I'll be going to that exhibition. I might not be battling myself, but I can learn a lot just from watching.

[ember_celica]

Oh yeah, totally. It's gonna be interesting, that's for sure.

[second_destiny]

And I'm ramping up my training. It's time I focus more on that. And if these Team Evolution guys do mean trouble, I'll be able to make them think twice about trying anything.

[ember_celica]

Aw yeah. I'm gonna train my ass off to get up to snuff. Miller and Hex, too.

[second_destiny]

Want to spend some time training together? Whether it's battles against each other or Multi Battle practice against wild Pokémon, I think it'd really help.

Sure! Sounds like a good idea.

Where should we go? Do you have any preference?

[ember_celica]

Depends what kinda training you're thinking of! I've got running on cliff ledges, parkouring the crap out of Union, and practicing in the arena on my list.

[second_destiny]

...You've got a safety net for stuff like that, right?

[Because those don't sound like good ideas.]

Uh, no, there's no safety nets involved.

[second_destiny]

Well, I didn't mean literally. Just, what do you do if something goes wrong and you fall off a cliff ledge or miss a jump?

Too much caution's bad for your health!

[second_destiny]

And not enough caution will get you killed!
