[Action - Hakurei Shrine]

[Reimu didn't really have much reason to be concerned with the iron shortage because it didn't directly effect her or her work, though it'd probably turn out to be a pain eventually. Her job was to tend to her shrine and keep an eye out for any possible incidents she might need to intervene in as current sole attendant and semi-official Head Priestess of the Hakurei Shrine.

Things had been quiet on that front though, so while she did keep up with patrols, when she wasn't she mostly lazed about the shrine and took care of any chores that needed doing. At present, that meant shoveling snow out of the shrine's courtyard. She'd taken care of the path leading up to the shrine the other day. Ugh, how she hated doing this, but it needed to be done and this one of those things Reimu wasn't really lazy about. She couldn't wait for spring.

Also, she hadn't gotten all that many donations lately, but that was nothing new. This place didn't really get that many visitors other than the old man and a certain childhood friend of hers after all. Though maybe she'd be lucky and someone might come by to drop a few coins in the donation box today.]

It sure is quiet today... [Cold too. Sigh.]

[Reimu looks up when she sees that one delver who comes by to bother her sometimes.]

Ah, it's you.

[She sighs, and plants her shovel in the snow. It hadn't been snowing too badly lately, so it wasn't that deep, but it still needed to be cleared anyway.]

Of course I am. Nothing's going on, so I might as well do some chores that need doing around here.

You could always, I dunno, help the city.

[Reimu snorted and went back to shoveling snow.]

I do help the city. There aren't any big wild pokemon attacks or anything going on right now, are there?

We do need iron though, smartass.

And what do you expect me to do about that?

[She just looks at him a little incredulously.]

I can't exactly conjure an iron mine out of thin air or anything, and I'm not going that far away from the walls in this weather.

[Really, Ezreal? What are you expecting? She might respond quickly enough to an emergency that involves beating things up, or at least the possibility she'd have to beat something up, but when it comes to most other things she's quite lazy.]

You could always help look. Probably pays better than waiting around in this dump hoping someone will give you free money.

"Free Money?" [She paused in her shoveling again and gave him an annoyed look.]

Free money, nothing. You'd think people would have a bit more respect for the gods.

And are they even paying people for this anyway?

You'd probably have more luck if you had a name. Or a picture.

As far as payment, if you know how to leverage it you can probably make some money. That's how we Delvers do it, you get creative.

How many other places actually remember the names of any of the gods or what they looked like? None of them seem to have any trouble getting worshipers.

[And she was pretty sure there aren't very many people who remember anything about the gods. Of course quite a few of them worship the Savior as well as the gods.]

It still sounds like a lot of work.

[And that sounds like Reimu is still skeptical.]

And that aversion to work would be the true reason as to why you're poor.

I do plenty of work. Just not the kind of work that involves wandering around in the wilderness doing other people's jobs.

Funny, I never see you do anything resembling work.

That's probably because you're usually too busy wandering around the Old City collecting junk.

You don't seem to complain about the junk when it makes your life easier, I've noticed.

And who said I was complaining about anything? [She only pauses long enough to just look at him flatly.]

Why do you even care what I do anyway?

[Well she'll be joined outside after a bit by Marisa as she finally got herself layered up enough to deal with the cold. But she's not going too far out just yet, because cold and if she was asked to do something else.]

[Reimu looked up when she saw Marisa coming outside. Of course the miko herself was also bundled up, even if she was still cold.]

I think I have another shovel in the supply room. It's not that deep, but this would still go faster with more than one person shoveling.

[And the sooner this got done, the sooner she could go back inside and back to the kotatsu. She figured she deserved a treat for all of this, so she might even make hot cocoa instead of just tea.]

Alright. I'll see if I can find the other one.

[And Marisa will go to the store room and after a few minutes and a crash of something falling over on her, will return with another shovel and get started after pulling her layered long sleeved shirts down over her arm again.]

Ya think anyone will call for help for all this iron crazyness?

[Reimu heard that crash and sighed. Marisa had better have picked up whatever she'd knocked over. Ah well.

She went back to shoveling snow as soon as Marisa came out to join her.]

Maybe. Seems like there's already a lot of people who've decided to volunteer themselves anyway, judging from all the talk on the warp bands.

[She made sure to at least make it less likely to fall again before returning. It might have hit her on the head but not going to have it happen twice!]

Yeah...But that's somethin' for those who are good at that stuff, unless they need the defense.

[Marisa stays quiet. She's hoping that it passes by but still.]

Although the way things seem ta go, other stuff might pop up the instant they leave for that too.

Yeah, but I do kinda wonder if they even know what they're looking for. How do you even find an iron mine anyway?

[Reimu makes an annoyed face, because Marisa is probably right.]

Yeah, that sounds about right knowing our luck. All the more reason to stay here.

[Let the rangers and trainers and everyone else who's crazy enough to go along with them go wandering around in the wilderness in this cold. Reimu is perfectly happy staying here. If something does come up while everyone else is busy, it would be annoying, but at least it would be something it was her job to deal with.]

Who knows really...maybe someone has a pokemon that can find it? I almost volunteered ta go along because why not.

[Reimu's probably one of the few who could guess correctly why she decided not to. But brushing it off with a laugh because why worry now?]

[Marisa's stopped shoveling for the moment...and is doing something. Why is she getting ready to cause mischef at THIS point?]

[Of course she has a good idea about it, but since she does know, she's not about to bring it up either. Not that the miko would've asked why Marisa had decided not to go even if she hadn't known the answer.

She nods in agreement about there being fewer people in the way if another incident happened while this was going on.]

Yeah, that's one good thing about all this iron mine business.

[And Reimu has known Marisa way too long not to become suspicious when she notices her friend has stopped shoveling. So she turns around to look.]

[Doing something? her? NEVER? Marisa is just going to pretend like she dropped her shovel and just picking it back up...with one hand.]

Just dropped my shovel. Just gotta grab it.

[Nonchalant..Nothing going on here..There is no snowball in the hand still hidden from Reimu..Although it is not going to stay there long because she throws it at the Miko!]

[Reimu narrows her eyes at the witch as she bends down to get her shovel. She's still suspicious, but she does relax just a tiny bit.

That might have been wise, as the miko just barely manages to duck when the snowball is thrown at her.]

[There's only one way to respond to that, so without another thought Reimu is already scooping up and packing a snowball of her own, before then throwing it back at Marisa.]

[Dropping the shovel and dodging as best she can, she's pulling up more snow into a snowball and throwing it at Reimu. She's sooo paying for this later but at the moment she really does not care.]

Almost gotcha that time!

[The miko dodges that one too, dropping her own shovel and making another snowball to throw at Marisa, chasing after the witch with a growl.]

[Grazing and running like pro here! Marisa's laughing because she pulled what she wanted to off. Just going to try and scoop up more snow as she's running.]

[When Ondorus gets worried, making offerings to random places of worship he passes by (or even just...particularly noble-looking trees) suddenly sounds like the greatest idea. This one seems...

Clink. He hands a few coins to his Ralts for her to drop in, too.]

[Reimu heard the clink of coins being dropped into the donation box and turned to look. There was someone she hadn't seen around the shrine before, and it looked like they were going to let their pokemon put more in too.]

Ah, hello. Welcome to the Hakurei Shrine.

[The shrine might not get a whole lot of visitors, but Jinxie makes it a point to stop by every so often to give a small donation. She doesn't make all that much money selling charms, but she figures it's nice to pay it forward sometimes to other people performing similar services around town.

And clink clank go two small coins into the offertory box as she bows her head to offer up a short prayer.]

[Reimu knows Jinxie of course. There are so few people who come by to donate even semi-regularly that she doesn't have much trouble remembering their faces, if not always their names. So she isn't too surprised when she looks up at the sound of the coins and sees her.]

Hey, it's you again. [That's basically her standard greeting.]

Hi, Reimu. How's the shrine doing?

About as well as always. [Which meant it was still in reasonably good repair despite her lack of funds.]

How've you been doing lately? It's been a while since the last time you were here.

Pretty good. Duskull and I have been working hard selling charms.

[A little skull pops up from behind Jinxie's head, sticking its tongue out.]
