[ It's a bit garbled, but Excellen appears on the feed. On her head is a Luvdisc-shaped pillbox hat, which she may or may not have just procured. She grins at her (hopefully) rapt audience before continuing. ]

So no one told me that you had such a cute holiday coming up! We don't have anything like Proposal Day in Caldera, I'm kind of jealous. I'm looking forward to celebrating with everybody.

Now, I know that we're rebuilding here, but I think this is just what the dentist ordered as far as a pick-me-up is concerned. And I wanted to let you know that your big sis Excellen's got your back! I just happen to be something of a love expert, you know, and I would be more than happy to give advice of the romantic kind. Or ways to spice up your love life, if you know what I mean. Don't hesitate to ask, I'll be sure to teach you everything you need to know~

I'm also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to gift ideas, because we all know that that's important for the holiday!

[ Excellen, you literally learned about this yesterday, you're not an expert. ]

Well, I suppose that depends on the quality and quantity of metal salts and oxides available. I'd also imagine that certain colour themes are predominant, [she's noticed the hat, after all] so making an appropriate mix to match would likely require quite a bit of work.

[ ..Nope, still not cottoning on to potential danger, not even with the behaviour in the original broadcast taken into account. ]

[ She hadn't expected the other woman to be so... literal. Excellen almost felt bad messing with her, and even then, she wasn't sure whether or not her comments would go over Sophia's head. ]

Wow, that's not what I expected. Are you an Engineer? You don't usually hear someone with that much knowledge about that kind of thing without some personal experience to back it up.

[ What do you mean that this conversation isn't about real fireworks, Excellen? (Or at least, not the physical exploding objects anyway..) ]

I-- [a startled pause, a quick blink, before Sophia smiles. And very quickly settles on an answer] --apparently I have the aptitude? But actually, I overheard two smiths this past Salvation discussing it. They seemed to think the snow and general winter climate made it difficult to store the ingredients.

Speaking of Salvation, you wouldn't happen to know a man called Kyosuke, would you? [Her name is rather distinctive, but always better to make sure]

Hmm, yeah that'd make sense. The snow here isn't exactly wet, but you run the risk of corrosion for other supplies.

[ Excellen blinks a few times. ]

You know Kyosuke?

An engineer yourself, then? [itnwould take one to know one, after all]

In passing. He was purchasing lights for decorative purposes, I believe.

Yep, that's right.

[ Purchasing lights? Excellen looks up in thought, before grinning. ]

Do you specialise in anything in particular?

[ He chose the cheapest ones. Just FYI. ]

[lips twitch in amusement] An 'errand' to get him out of the house for a while, was it?

I like to get my hands on a lot of different things.

[ Cough. ]

Yep. He's pretty perceptive, and impossible to hide stuff from. So the best way to do that is to give him something else to do.

Oh, a dabbler.

An honest distraction, then, if he's that perceptive. Though it's beginning to sound like you prefer more creative uses for what he brings home, hmm?

[eyes are twinkling a little; someone might be slowly cottonee'ing on here]
