Where: Just outside Union.
When: Roughly a week after Salvation festivities end.
What: Honoka finally decides to have a Talk with Right.
Warnings: Dumb teenagers that are a little twitterpated.



[She'd asked after him early one afternoon, when the sun was high but the air was cold. It had been something like a week since Salvation, and she couldn't get a small handful of things out of her mind. Namely, Right and a few things he'd said. Specifically, that he'd mentioned her in particular when it came to missing things if he were away.]

[It had brought forth all sorts of other realizations. Things Hayato had teased her about, things she found herself noticing or enjoying more about Right's company moreso than other people. It was no secret that Honoka loved just about everyone-- but there was something special about Right. She had discussed it with Hayato once. Briefly. Frustratedly.]

[She hadn't been ready to talk about it then.]

[But now, with the crest of another Awakened evolution on her horizon, her strength and her resolve about life growing along with her... She thought maybe it was time to Talk About It.]

[So here she was, perched on a high, but visible branch of a tree just outside of Union, kicking her feet absently and giggling at Ariera's tutting. The Tropius eventually gave up telling her she'd fall and hurt herself and laid himself neatly beneath the tree to serve as a cushion if and when she inevitably did.]

[A laugh, and Honoka continues to swing, though she slows when Ariera gives her a particular look. He then turns his focus to Amara, and there's a smile to his tone.]

She did a bit more jumping than I think your legs will let you, but that's mostly how it's done.

[Honoka raises an eyebrow at Haruka, perplexed.]

I'm sorry?

I hope the person you're waiting for comes soon. [ Smiiiiile.

Amara backs down off the tree and tentatively tries a jump. She does not get very high, but her own action startles her. ] Aa!

hello this is late as fuq.

[She sulks very slightly at the obvious omission of what she'd actually just said, but lets it go easily enough with a smile.]

He should be here soon enough.

[Ariera chuckles quietly, slowly moving his head toward Amara.]

Do you need a boost?

np i think we've all been....draggin'.....lately

[ Amara's pupils widen. You would do that? ] Amaura....

[ She takes a hesitant step towards the Tropius. If...she accepted...where should she stand.....? ]

CONTINUES TO DRAG APPARENTLY

[Of course he would. Ari has a friendly old grandpa banana tree. He shunts his head forward and basically just scoops her onto his neck, picking his head up to put her at a better vantage point.]

[Honoka laughs quietly at that, swinging on her knees again and reaching her hands out.]

Do you want me to pull you up?

[ Whoaaaa this is weird, her feet are not on the ground - in fact, the ground is all the way down there, this is so strange, it feels like when she got on that big blue dragon to head back to Trainer's city after Trainer found her...Amara looks over at Haruka, but Haruka is looking at Honoka to show Amara what to do next. So Amara turns, too.

Should she offer her front legs? Inching forward somewhat nervously - what if she does it wrong? - Amara tries rearing back again. ] Mau!

[Ariera keeps his head steady so Amara can balance on her hind legs, and Honoka is happy to swing forward and take hold of her front ones. She tugs the little Amaura off her Tropius's head, dangling her carefully before swinging herself back up onto the branch and setting the little Ice-type next to her.]

There, see? Look at how much you can see from up here.

[ Oh, wow. Amara is still kinda scared by not having all four feet on the ground, but the view from up here has her peering around with big eyes all the same. She cranes her neck to see through the trees. Can she even see the less-warm place...?

On the ground, Haruka chuckles. Glacier's a stretch, kid. ] It's a good view.

[Ariera makes a pleased sound and settles his head back on the ground, and Honoka positively glows with fondness for the little Ice type. She glances down at Haruka and keeps her warmth, squinting her eyes almost closed in a smile.]

Would you like to join us?

[ That would be some branch, if so. Haruka laughs. ] I'm getting enough of a breeze down here.

[ Amara huddles closer to Honoka as she continues to get used to being Up High. Is this what being evolved feels like? She bets it is. ]
