Who: Sinbad, Saber, Martin, Hayato
What: Exploring a new area
Where: Some Badlands
[Well, he's getting some use out of the walking stick that Morgiana had give him already - Sinbad thought to himself as he examines the land before them, dry - craggy, it's got a stark beauty he thinks, though others may just see it as a bad land, looking to his Growlithe and Dragonite before looking to the rest of the group]
Looks like it's going to be really rough terrain - hope you guys are up to a lot of hiking, or flying.
Don't worry! I can help any human that stumbles!
Please allow me carry any supplies to lighten your load.
And I don't think I need to tell you guys to keep alert.
((ooc: please note what pokemon you are taking with you in the subject line of your post))

Boar, Boldred, Sunflash, and Tiria
Agreed. Be quiet, be cautious...and maybe not mention where we're from, should we run across anyone else.
Gwendolen, Agravain, Gawain, Lancelot, Edward
I still don't have a bonded Pokémon capable of true flight, but hiking should not be difficult. If we ever decide to stop being quiet, though, I can always Warp in Agravain to burrow around obstacles.
Goro, Fuji, Nikon, Cyclone, Kodak
[This was ...definitely going to be a hike but that was fine.]
I don't either, but Nikon can barrel through just about anything, too.
Badr the Dragonite, and Furfur the Growlithe
Of course, I got my abilities as well. Badr promise to help carry anything if something were to happen, and there's extra canteens of water in his pack, that map suggested there isn't much here. Let's get going!
[He grins as he takes the lead, hopping on stones]

The map showed there wasn't much of anything, period. I wonder if it's deserted.

Their path leads to a gorge, sans any sort of water source. If it had been carved out by a river, its long since dried up. It seems to lead itself into its own maze, a fantastic coloring of red, brown and white lining the walls to wonder at.
And if any of them look closely enough, they'll find footprints in the soft sand of the gorge, a pair that seem to belong to human boots and pokémon tracks.]

Color suggests some iron in the rocks here... that's rust.
Look! I blend in!
[He laughs softly]
You're right, but keep your voice down - looks like it's going to be a pretty windy path from here on.
no subject
[Saber holds up a hand, then translates.]
Hold on a moment. There's footprints in the sand. Probably fresh ones, if the wind hasn't blown them away.
no subject
[He starts to look around for what might be a safe way to get down to the tracks. Maybe climbing down with Nikon would be the best bet, unless theres a better path.]
no subject
I can't tell what sort Pokémon left these, but they go this way.
no subject
Tall walls, walls that hide a city. Skyscrapers can be seen on the horizon, the sun reflecting off of the glass, almost as a beacon of its existence. The path doesn't end here, it will curve in on itself and head back into what is yet another gorge, the tracks leading away from the great city in the distance.]
no subject
[He whispers, pointing it out to the group, despite the fact they really didn't need to be pointed out the obvious, his tail practically wagging in excitement]
Walls, glass - I'm not sure about you guys, but I want to take a closer look at the very least.
no subject
[She nods.]
We should definitely investigate.
sorry the picture is so tiny
And also while they look upon it, from behind, a large patrol appears from the continuation of the gorge. Several men, with Arcanines at their sides appear. They are dressed in a military uniform, armed and looking less than pleasant.]
Hey! Stop where you are!
no subject
[When the voice rings out he turns, eyes going wide.]
I think we need to get out of here.
[If those uniforms are remotely familiar to someone who's been on a Calderan-Gigan battlefront, Hayato's feeling might be confirmed.]
no subject
Groaning, Martin sits up on Sunflash's back.]
Forgive us, we're travelers. Lost travelers.
[He's a little shaky, but he'll be back to normal in no time. He's going to play up the shakiness until he knows if he needs to fight or if they'll let them go]
no subject
My ill friend speaks truly. We mean no harm coming here. We don't even know where here is.
[None of that's a lie, after all.]
no subject
[Sinbad moves as if to steady Martin, picking up on his shakiness on what Saber said as Furfur tries to make nice with the Arcanines]
We only ended up here because our friend isn't feeling well, we were hoping to find somewhere safe that he can recover.
another apology, overtime at work killed me
You've encroached upon Gigan territory. The four of you will come with us until we can figure out where you belong.
[One of the other guards snicker to themselves, and three guards with their Arcanines move to be behind the group to usher them down the path that the guards had originally come from. In the distance, it seems like there is a small compound, though it's too far away to make out much else from here.]

[It takes a whole lot for Hayato to keep calm, to remember to breathe and keep his shit together. This was a delicate situation and there were others here who would not benefit from him having a meltdown. These soldiers hadn't touched them yet. There was no reason to act rashly yet.]
[His jaw tightens, however. His brows furrow. He moves his hand slightly to stop Goro from making any hasty moves.]
The four of us will be happy to leave without venturing any further. Trouble is the last thing we want.
[Civil enough, but nothing about his words suggest an ounce of begging.]
no subject
Furfur. Quiet, those weapons can cause a lot of pain.
[Sinbad couldn't quite hide the scowl that crosses his face. Gigas - he remember what Morgiana told him, and the other things he picked up, he breathes out slowly to clear his head, get a feel as his eyes darted to the others. Union didn't have the warmest relationship with them, nor does Caldera. He's confident in his own skill at slipping out of harm's way, but he can't think of himself but the others, so he has to stay calm and assess the situation]
Yes... We'll just leave, no need for anything rash, Sirs.
[He repeated Hayato's sentiment as he still held Martin steady - a hand close enough to draw his sword, but biding his time]
no subject
We will be on our way, then.
no subject
[Boar, used to Martin, is ready to grab and give Martin his sword should they need it.]
no subject
Sorry. We have strict orders about coming across anyone who wanders farther than they should. Better hope you're not spies or something. That's going to make the difference between escorting you out or killing you here. Nothing personal. Just following orders, y'know. Now come on. It ain't far.
[The guards won't touch anyone from the party, but will make motions to prod them forward towards the encampment.]
no subject
Ki-kill?! Come on, we didn't know, tell your humans!
[Sinbad slowly raises his hands up in surrender, his tail curling in front of him as he lowers his head]
I know but...
[Without warning, his tail suddenly snaps back, swinging to catch the three guards behind him like a massive club - he didn't even take time to register if he hit them or not as he immediately used his raised hands to initiate a cartwheel to give himself, Martin, and Saber room to maneuver, unsheathing his sword as he lands]
We really have to be going.
