Sometimes you just gotta talk it out. [Closed]
Who: Yuuna, Feliks, Waver
Where: Just outside Union
What: A conversation that needs to happen
When: September, pre-event.
[It’d been ages since they’d last talked. Since the incident with the frogs. Not a lot had really happened, but it was weird around Feliks now, Yuuna thought. And quite frankly, she was a little tired of not knowing where they stood. So, she resolved to take the next opportunity she had to talk to him. Regardless of what was going on, she was going to talk to him.
Of course, that would be the time she’d called Waver up to do a little analysis of her newfound abilities. But he was late, presumably dealing with the trouble that was that nosy mushroom. Still, she refused to put it off any longer and hopefully Waver won’t be walking into another argument.
So, Yuuna waves and jogs over to Feliks as he prepares to head back through the gate. Strands of her hair are standing a bit on end, the weather playing havoc with her poor control over her lightning, but other than that? She looks a bit nervous.]
Uh, Hey. Feliks? You got a minute?

Uh, Hey. Feliks? You got a minute?

She doesn't want him to forget, she just wants him to...exist beyond his grief. Because she's been there, she knows what it's like to lose a friend. Most of them know it, but she's never seen anyone quite so consumed by it.
Not that it's important. Words aren't either. What matters now is just being there, hands around both of them, letting them know she's here.]
no subject
...I'm not going to stop looking for him.
[Even if they did let him cry all over them.]
no subject
[Because it would be impossible to stop Feliks, and Waver knew that. His shirt was soaked from the torrent of tears, but he didn't care.
Feliks was talking to them....and that was good.]
no subject
[She rubs a hand along Feliks' back.]
Just...yeah. Don't shut us out, dude. We're here for you.
no subject
[There were months when he hardly came back at all, just often enough to shut down any rumors that he'd disappeared, too. And lately, he comes back much more, and lets people know when he's going... Isn't that enough?]
And I can take care of myself out there.
[But he doesn't push either of them away. After a long moment, still shaking a little when he tries to breathe, he mumbles:]
...I really miss him.
[That's been obvious to the entirety of Union from Day 1, but this might be the first time he's let himself say it. It hurts, but maybe it hurts like setting a broken bone.]
no subject
[Even an outsider like Waver could see that there had been something lurking in the background of Feliks' mind. It wasn't hard.]
Just ask someone next time you want to go out. You might be surprised at who would walk with you.
[Waver would go along. He wanted to see the rest of the world, and helping a friend offered the best excuse to do so.]
no subject
[She let her head rest against Feliks's back, the arm around him patting gently. She'd go with him, she did often enough. It was her job and her joy, travel.]
We're here for you, though. You know that. Just...let us okay?
no subject
...I never really had a lot of friends before him? Besides Jadwiga, I mean. And some of the noble girls, but we weren't super close. I...
Even the first time I met him, he made me feel like all the little weird things about me were great. You know?
[That first day, they ended up coming in from the forest to play dress-up in a shop it was hard for even Feliks to afford, and for the first time in his life, he felt like he was like someone, like someone really liked his eccentricities and didn't just like him in spite of them. The idea of losing that, or of giving up on the person who helped him feel that way, is devastating.]

If only they had grown up in the same city. Then, perhaps...]
Yeah, I know what you mean, [he replied, thinking back on how Atlas and, later, Orpheus had been his first and only friends for a long time. Meeting Rincewind in the libraries was happenstance, but there was still too much of an age difference between the two outcasts to ever really be very close.]
But that's no reason to stop living your life, is it?
no subject
Same. Believe me. I know what it's like. [Having people who didn't think she was a weirdo for wanting to fight, for hating sitting still, for getting bored. Still rubbing, she gives Waver a grateful smile around Feliks]
And no, it isn't. You've gotta live. You can't just...give up on life, Feliks. That's what we don't want you to do.
no subject
[He laughs, a little exhaustedly and without much humor.]
I don't give up.
[He doesn't know how.]
no subject
That's good. It'd be entirely unlike you if you did.
no subject
[Is this a joke? Or is she serious? He's a friend. She's gone to fight gods for perfect strangers. If helping Feliks meant fighting Yveltal? Well she knew one bird that was going to get itself punched.]
no subject
[He's honestly pretty serious, too. He has shit to do, Death can wait.]
no subject
[Satisfied now that they had gotten Feliks out of the worst of this storm, Waver awkwardly patted Feliks on the back.]
Now, what are we going to do? We're all a mess here!
no subject
[Yuuna says that pretty simply, but she's got a plan.]
The beach. That's what we're going to do. I was dragging you anyway, Waver. Now Feliks gets to come for the ride.

[He was also a supreme klutz whenever physical activity was involved. It was bad enough that Yuuna knew, but he didn't want others finding out too!]
no subject
[She taps her Warp Band and look, here's Susume and Kuina. A Dragonite and a Salamence.]
I have rides. And second? I have a Lapras keyed to the warp band. I was really thinking just down past the forest but if you guys want to hit the island, we can be there in like...thirty minutes.
no subject
[It's entirely possible that his own willingness to roll with this idea is inversely proportional to the amount of protesting someone else is doing.]
no subject
[Oh no. Oh no no no no no nooooooooooooo~~~~~~~]
no subject
Take your pick, Feliks.
no subject
[Feliks comes over to Susume and gives a flourishing little bow in greeting. It's rude to just jump on someone's back without saying hi, right?]
no subject
Uhm.....hi.
[He lifted a hand hesitently at the Salamence in awkward greeting, his eyes wide and face pale from his fear.
Flying, he decided, was probably something he would never get used to.]
no subject
Susume though, trills a greeting to Feliks and bends over, ready to scoop him up.]
Geshi, I'll call you out later. See you at the beach!
[And...away they go!]
