Case File 001 [Video | Action]
Video
[Residents currently on the Warp Band network would be greeted by the face of a sharply dressed young person over the feed. With the quirky hat and the short hair style, the person had an equal chance of being male or female-- the clean lines of the dress shirt and tie didn't help matters either. The sun was bright that morning, and it took the stranger a moment to adjust their angle to account for the glare flashing off the lens.]
Good morning, Union.
[The stranger nodded briskly in greeting, offering a smile that was equal parts friendly and professional to the people tuning in.]
I imagine that we're all busy getting started with the day, so I'll keep this brief: I'm Naoto Shirogane, a detective from Caldera. I've just arrived, so does anyone else from the north mind filling me in on what's been happening?
Also-- I'm still in business if anyone wishes for my services. Just contact me on the network.
[And, promptly, the young detective closes the signal out.]
Action
[That afternoon would greet people in Union with one of two sights: the first is that of a young Ralts who had gotten separated from his trainer, staring longingly at the freshly baked buns that were cooling off within sight of the bakery window. He knew that humans like that green, papery stuff to trade for food and goods-- and he didn't have any-- but that didn't dampen the longing for the buns any less.
The second is that of Naoto herself, walking briskly down the streets in her platform boots, ignoring the smack of leather on concrete as she searched the streets. Some of the noise was intentional-- she wanted her target to know where she was, if they were to find her first.
On occasion she might peer at an unfurled map to get an idea of her general location. Other times she could be found staring down the street with a crisp, analytic look in her eyes. Anyone wandering close by might here her murmur something under her breath:]
Where could he have run off to this time?

Video apologies for what will be a super slow thread until work dies down
[He's a little surprised, needless to say.]
That is fine, as always :3

[Hayato was sitting off to the side reloading his camera when he hears Naoto. Without looking up he answers.]
Looking for a Pokemon?
[It's probably been a long time since Naoto's seen Hayato (what with him being MIA all this time) and he might be a little hard to recognize with the Union clothes but. Hey. That sure is a Photographer you may or may not have worked with before.]
action
[Naoto's reply was automatic, her eyes still trained on the street for a few moments longer to keep watch for the errant pokemon.]
We've partnered up recently, although I swear that he was easier to find in Caldera...
[The brilliant green against the tawny color of the sands and rocks that were native to the area were the best tell that anyone could have. Ichiro was never able to stray this far before they left the city...
Finally tearing her eyes away, she turned to face the stranger--
And it took her a moment to place that face. The both of them were dressed far differently than they had before but...
She took off her hat, as if that would aid in recognition.]
....Hayato Ichimonji. What are you doing here?
action
...Shirogane-kun. I-
[Yep, that's another person to explain the fact that he's alive and not in Caldera to.]
Heh. Making a living. What about you?

What kind of Pokemon is missing? Cassandra can sniff it out.
Action
Yes, a Ralts. This is his first time out in the city on his own and, although I know that he's tough for one so small, I do worry about him.

It'll be alright. We'll find him. It's not the first time a Pokemon's gotten lost in the big city.
[Yukiko also detects something there, an accent that isn't from Union. She's not hearing the twang of a Refuge accent, so her guesses are...]
Where are you from? Caldera? Or Citadel?

Hey, there, little guy. You lost?
Action
Turning his head in both directions to check if there was anyone else around who seemed to be lost, he finally settled on pointing a slender arm at his face.
Were you talking to him?]

So while he's still practically drooling over the fresh buns, he'll turn to his fellow shopper.] Wow! Both of us would need at another stomach if we wanted to eat all of these!
Action
He really wanted to try one, but he wasn't just going to go in and take one either. That was stealing, and stealing was bad.
You didn't happen to have any of that weird paper stuff on you, Mister Cubchoo?]

[Mami nods down at the feed, before she tilts her head to the side, and wonders about them for a moment. A detective? Someone seeking to solve crimes? Hmm. Interesting, to be sure.]
There has been a good deal of recent happenings. You're up to date on the business with Sanctuary, I trust?
video
Naoto offered a friendly smile to the woman ont he other side of the feed. She had her questions as well, but those would come in due time.]
Thank you, Ms. Tomoe. I am fairly up-to-date with the affairs happening in Sanctuary-- it's certainly problematic business.
[As a detective who sometimes worked alongside the Rock Legion, she kept quiet about her personal opinions regarding Union's findings within the walls of Caldera's ancient allies. The news unsettled her somewhere deep in her stomach-- she found it disturbing, to say the least.]
How would you prefer to be addressed? I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with standard procedures among the Valkyries.

[ Tilting her head a bit, the psychic and fairy type enlightened smiled a bit encouragingly at Naoto. ]
You look lost. Did you need some help?
Action.
It's not me who's lost, as much as a pokemon. His name is Ichiro, a Ralts, and this is his first time exploring the city on his own. Do you know where young pokemon go in this town?

Naoto was utterly silent at first, cheeks flushing a bright red while this bubbly young woman expressed her excitement with glee.]
I. I wouldn't go so far as to refer to myself as a 'star detective'...but, you're correct. I will be staying in Union for the forseeable future.
[She pulled down her hat, looking off to the side in embarrassment. Her notoriety was well known, even to her, but she had no idea that it had extended so far...]
