[ Lux's experience in the caves was less than ideal. Taking a spill trying to help someone, she was in a lot of pain; more so because she had to play it off as if nothing happened. Her wrist and hand throbbing by the time she left Jack behind, she was admittedly thankful, as it had become nearly impossible for her to safely grip her staff in her right hand. She knew she should take off her warp band, but part of her didn't want to see the damage done. She had some idea, judging from how it felt, but somehow she hoped that it was like her run-in with Sakina--painful for the moment, but better within a day or so.

She knew that likely wasn't the case, but she could hope.

Thankfully the trip was short, and she managed to make her way home in less than a day. Fumbling with her staff, she did her best to try to open the door, struggling more than a bit. Why did this have to be so difficult? She just wanted to sleep this whole thing off. ]

[ A few days after their adventures in the caves, Lux comes on over the band. Someone else appears to be holding the camera, because her right arm is in a sling. ]

Greetings everyone. I think it's safe to say that a large majority of us are done with caves for a good long while. For those of you who didn't decide to investigate, count yourselves lucky. Really. It was an ordeal. I would know.

[ She wiggles her elbow a bit for emphasis. ]

I won't ask for details of what people saw, because I know for a fact that they were very private experiences. If you want to give them, then by all means, but don't feel obligated to do so. What I will ask, however, are other first-hand accounts of what you noticed, if there was anything out of the ordinary. Much like the last time I gave this survey, your responses will be submitted anonymously to the Seekers. If you don't feel comfortable talking to me, you can feel free to send them in.

For obvious reasons, I won't be able to write anything down, so in-person interviews will be recorded. I'm sorry about that. In any case, if you feel comfortable talking, please let me know. Thank you!

[ She nearly drops her staff as she walks inside, swearing a bit under her breath. Wow could she be any more obvious. ]

Oh, ah... well...

[indy_wannabe]

You. In. Now.

[He closes the door behind her]

Arm.

[ladyofluminosity]

[ She steps inside, immediately on alert. She holds her right arm out. Her warp band is still on, so it's hard to tell that anything is wrong, save for a bit of bruising peeking out from the edge of the band. ]

[indy_wannabe]

[He pulls the band off]

Savior. What did you do? Move your wrist.

[ladyofluminosity]

I fell...

[ She doesn't quite look at him when she says that. She also makes an effort to not look at her arm. ]

...Do I have to?

No kidding. What were you doing to fall like this? And yes, you have to. I need to see if it's broken.

[ Jack is lying on his front in bed, and he appears to be trapped underneath a Pidgeotto, who has settled on his back and has her wings spread out to cover him entirely. there is also a dozing Flabébé tucked into the crook of his neck. he doesn't seem to mind either of these things. ]

What we noticed, huh... What kinds of things are you looking for?

—And hey, what happened to your arm?

Any irregularities, although I'm not sure how much experience you've had with exploring caves in the past.

[ ...And that was pretty much the last thing she wanted Jack to ask. Lux hesitates. She was always a terrible liar, and she didn't want to say anything to upset him. ]

Oh. It's nothing too bad. I was just a bit clumsy. I'll be better in no time.

[nippy]

Seriously? That's pretty clumsy. You should probably be wearing safety gear.

[ he's suspicious... but he doesn't remember seeing her fall or anything in the caves, and if he had done something to her when he freaked out, it wouldn't have just been a sprain. she's probably just going to close up if he tries to push, though, so he'll leave it. it's not really a big deal, even if it is weird that she'd lie about it. ]

Uh, zero experience with cave exploring, though. I'm not a huge fan of small, dark spaces. So what the heck are cave irregularities, other than the obvious shadowy nightmare thing we had?

[ Lux laughs a bit stiffly. ]

Haha, yeah, I guess so!

[ She couldn't tell him. She didn't want him to feel even worse than he likely did about the whole ordeal, if he actually remembered most of it. Judging from the actual trauma, she assumed that there were some gaps in his memory at the very least. ]

Any number of things, really. Strange writings or signs, old technology, breeds of pokemon that don't quite belong, anything that feels off or seems out of the ordinary.

[For a moment, Fuuka didn't respond but it was obvious that she was there. As she bit her lip, she found herself staring at her pokemon before staring back at Luxanna's message. It took a while but eventually a sigh could be heard]

I'm afraid that depends, there were a few things out of the ordinary but...there were a lot of unpleasant things I've seen during my time there.

And I would never ask you about those unpleasant things, because I imagine it's very private, but if you could tell me about what you saw that was out of the ordinary, that would help a lot.

When you were in the caves, did you see another version of yourself? Someone with yellow eyes and looked just like you?

[ Lux looked up a bit, thinking. ]

No, nothing like that. I felt like I was reliving an old memory. [ One that she would rather forget. ]

I see. Then it is different depending on who they were.

[A pause]

I'm not sure should I be happy about that or not to be honest.

I wasn't.

[ Lux looks down a bit, managing a smile. ]

But thankfully I have some very good friends who helped pull me out of it. What about you? How did you manage?

Well...I think I was pretty lucky myself! I had a friend who was with me and helped me a lot from trying to defeat them!

[Pause]

I don't know where I would be if I didn't have her around. I...I think I might not even be here if it weren’t for her help honestly.

That's good. I doubt that we would have been stuck there, but having someone who was able to help you out, you're very lucky.

[Hayato is opting not to respond to video this go around because he's on bed rest and looks like total garbage. Lux might still recognize his voice, though. Especially since the last time they talked it was in the aftermath of the LAST cave incident.]

The main thing I noticed was that it was pretty clear we never really left the cave system, unlike last time. But it seemed the same as before that there was ...some kind of purpose behind what we were seeing or fighting.

For better or worse.

[ She does recognize it, but notes that he sounds a bit more tired than usual. Likely due to the cave ordeal, which was understandable. She was fairly exhausted from the whole thing herself. ]

I noticed that as well, even though they felt much larger depending on what sort of illusionary world you moved in or out of.

The last time was widely impersonal. We were actually transported out of the caves to see a bunch of events that were way before our time. Things I'm pretty sure we couldn't have just dreamed up ourselves.

[He's tired and being sat on by a Marowak.]

These illusions were definitely dragged out of us. Memories, Nightmares, personal demons given shape, one way or the other, they came from us entirely.

I hadn't thought about that, but you're right. I imagine Diancie wanted to show them to us for a reason. Maybe to better ourselves, or to learn or overcome something?
