I've seen Pokémon evolve before, but this is the first time that someone who I've bonded with has evolved. It never stops being incredible to watch them change. I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing it. What about everyone else? Is it the same way for you?

[A brief pause as he remembers that not everyone is like him.]

How many of you have seen a Pokémon evolve before?

[The image wobbles severely for a bit while Apollo turns off the camera.]

Come to think of it, I don't actually know if any of the ones I've got here evolve or not-- wait, no. I guess Arons do, you see some of the bigger forms in the Habitat.

They do, but it takes them a while. Longer than it takes a Fletchling to evolve, I know.

He might eventually, but there's nothing wrong with him never evolving. He might like being small better.

Aron use the iron they eat to make their bodies. If you don't let him eat enough he'll never get bigger.

I don't know. I don't think anyone's ever tried to find out. I'd guess that if they ate a lot but didn't eat any metal, the best thing that would happen would be that they would get big but be very weak and be easy prey for predators.

I've seen them eat plenty of other stuff though - they gotta get nutrition from it.

They do, but since their bodies are made of metal they need to get it from somewhere. I think that the things that Aron eat that aren't metal are high in iron - I think I've heard that somewhere - but they need so much that it's easier for them to get it from ore. It's like when you eat bread; you feel full for a while but get hungry soon, but when you eat meat then you don't feel like eating again for a while because there's more... [He has no idea what it actually is that causes that now that he thinks of it.] more food in it than bread. If the Aron who you're friends with eats a lot of food that isn't metal, it's probably because he's not getting enough metal from ore, so he's trying to get it from plants instead, but since there isn't much metal in plants he needs to eat a lot more than he usually would. He might eat less if he only eats ore.

[ ... ] You know, that's sense. Not a lotta iron in most berries 'cept babiri ones that I know of offhand. [ And she sighs hard through her knows ] Sneak's not a hassle to feed and neither's the other one, but Tiny's a hassle what with us already having an iron shortage.

I haven't paid attention to how much ore they're getting from the mine that was found yet, but you could always take him there to eat.
