How has everyone been? Cordelia and I have been quite busy of late, my apologies for being unavailable. Married life is, as it happens, keeps your free time rather limited, but I must say it is highly recommended! The recent contact with the city of Sanctuary has lead to some rather interesting revelations! I'd always noticed my abilities were somewhat different from that of the normal Enlightened. Once I learned the name, it all fell into place, and my eyes were able to reveal the truth. Apparently, I am Magi, as the Enlightened of Sanctuary are. It's a rather fascinating development! I still am not certain how I ended up here at all, but it would explain why nobody has recognized me before. Perhaps I managed to make it near to Union before meeting a grisly end, only to reawaken alive and bereft of memory within the Forest Shrine! At the very least it's interesting to speculate about.

Well, that lends itself to another potential solution, and I must say I think I would at least remember dying. It seems rather traumatic. So I instead fled Sanctuary so quickly that I forgot everything! It must have been something truly terrifying to require me to do that. What in Sanctuary could do that?

[ he had planned to respond once he heard the words Cordelia and I, guessing this guy to be the Robin that Rin had mentioned when they met - but then there is Sanctuary, and there is Magi, and Jack freezes his Warp Band solid. gods damn it. it's not even just the fact that he would rather not have more Magi around; it's his stupid, uncontrollable reactions to the very word. is he going to be this scared forever? it's ridiculous. at least if he was angry or hostile instead, he'd be able to look a Mage in the eye. instead, all he can do is panic and cringe.

Rin had been sweet. even hearing that she was from a Magus family hadn't frightened Jack, hadn't made the cold lash out like it had before. if this guy is tutoring her... what if he does something to change that? what kind of Magus is he? ]
